Last Chance Thrift Store is large and has some great deals. There's also some ridiculously over priced items. I found a notable brand name shirt for $20. No ma'am. But also found lots of clothes for $7.99 and under. I found quite a number of items very easily, all is great condition. Store is clean, well organized, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Some items are in multiple areas, like housewares, so you really have to be prepared to walk the whole store if you looking for something specific. That said there is something for everyone (ie. books, clothes, dishes, jewelry,toys, bedding etc). And the location is easy to find on a main road. Parking spaces are tight so watch when coming and going. I would definitely go back. I suggest drop off some items for donation, then shop. read more

My parents moved to Palm Harbor in 1996, so I have been shopping at the Last Chance for close to thirty years. It is a nice open store that is well organized and well lit. Prices I find are very fair, and if you sign up on their email list, you receive each Monday a text offering you 50% off of your entire shopping purchases for that day. That is a fantastic perk. There are bathrooms available and the parking is plentiful. Lamps and luggage are placed outside of the general store, but the area is covered. The one thing I used to dislike about the store was how they offered cds and dvds. They used to have them placed in small plastic storage boxes, the kind you place under your bed. They were placed against the wall, where customers lined up to pay at the cash registers. It was annoying to have to stand there in the way of customers. However, a few years ago that changed, and now shopping for cds, dvds, and blu-rays is much easier. They have placed them farther down in the store near the dressing rooms, so now it is easy and workable to browse and find them. I asked if they still had the text available that you could get a discount on your purchases and she pointed to a sign and walked away. I have been frequenting this store for years. It's a wonderful place to find so many hidden gems; I've bought designer purses, shoes, clothes, dish-ware, blankets, jewelry boxes. Pretty much anything you can think of. They have a text service that gives you 50% off EVERYTHING in the store with their already low prices; so the reviews claiming it's too expensive are completely full of it, ignore them. I have always had pleasant and helpful interactions with employees, they're all very nice people and you can tell they put a lot of their time and effort into the store. The pricing is absolutely insane. I'm going to include pictures. A very used Rusty pet kennel they are trying to sell for $50. You can get that brand new for $50. They are trying to sell this Clawed up wobbly cat tree. The thing should actually be in the garbage not being sold! I wouldn't even bring it into my house for free for my cats. But I guess if they were selling it for $.50 (which they're absolutely not ) and somebody couldn't afford a brand new tree they would be interested. However, it's so wobbly it's not safe. They are trying to sell a very used and old pair of wedge sandals for $14! For $10 more, go to Ross/Burlington and get a brand new pair. Also, a very used pair of Walmart flip-flops is $9. Gross. They have a rack of new with tags clothes. However, they RIP THE TAG IN HALF so the public doesn't know how much the item originally cost from the store. This way, they can charge more than what the store was and no one would know! They forgot to rip the tag in half on this dress from Ross. Ross was selling it for $22. Most clothing items start at $4, up to coats that top out at $80. You won't find very many plus side items, nor very much in the way of furniture. I've been pilfering their goods and clothing since I was about 13 years old. I love the decorations and their pots and pans, purses, scarfs, shoes, and hats assortments! The clothes I find here are pretty good too! They do a great job of putting out and showcasing their more quality expensive items on display AAAAND good news!! It's STILL SO CHEAP! I love collecting old wooden items and they have plenty! Also, they have a huge collection of antiques and unique pillows. This thrift store is the best thrift store in the tampa bay area and the new renovations make it look even better. When you actually look through the items, you discover that they have great items for dirt cheap prices. They also have certain days when all items are 50% off and they often have 50% off your entire purchase coupons in the TBT newspaper which allows you to get PLENTY of things for 10 bucks. The staff here is also very friendly and personable :) only advice, get there early because this place can get pretty packed ! read more

Went here today for 50% off Tuesday from 4-7 PM. I was pleasantly surprised about how organized the entire store was during my visit. I found many items to be in great condition. Some of the prices are higher than other thrift stores, but I didn't have to sort through a lot of junky stuff to find things I wanted. This is one of my favorite thrift stores. Their prices for women's clothing is very very reasonable. Prices of toys, kitchenware, purses, linen, and furniture is also very reasonable. Books and CDs are also priced like you are not getting gauged. It is one of my go-to places when I want to buy used things and get a deal. A huge plus is they have a men's restroom and a women's restroom. It makes it so convenient for adults and children. The only bad thing about this place is there are only a few changing rooms for both men and women so if you plan to try on some clothes expect a long line and a long wait. Overall though their prices are so reasonable it's worth it for me. I will return again. read more

Very crowded two days before Christmas -- couldn't believe all the cars there. Fortunately, Last Chance has quite a but if parking along the sides and way way in the back. They have furniture outside along with bicycles and exercise equipment. Inside, tons of clothes, housewares, small appliances, books, wall decor and knick knacks, some jewelry. I'm usually finding TOP Quality clothes that don't have ANY signs of being worn before . . . the staff is like family. As far as OVERPRICED? SERIOUSLY? This place is the worst. It is very big inside but looks small from the front, I parked next to a car and they paged me and scolded me for the way that I parked. I moved my truck and the lady gave me evil looks when I came back inside. Apparently there is parking on the back and sides, but no sign that says so. There is a wire gate fence that you would have to go into but it looks forbidden and with no sign indicating your left to guess. they are overpriced about double price of any other thrift store. They ask you at the register if you have a coupon, I asked what coupon and where would I get one, they said there is a 50% off coupon that is online or in papers. This is why everything is dusty, smells of dust, and does not sell. If you saw it there last year it is probably still there. A letter to the manager, people do not go to thrift stores to pay higher than retail new prices for used items. With retail establishments closing at record pace you might want to rethink your greed model. There was a sign that said they were Christian based but the pattern language of the place seems to indicate what is really going on. There are prosthetic legs, yes, about five of them and they have permanent marker with the price tag of $39.99 written on them. Now, think about writing on a prosthetic leg, you just ruined it by writing on it with perm marker. Then if they were really Christian based they would donate those legs (which cost a lot) to a foundation that provides artificial limbs to those in need. This place is run, and probably owned by greedy mean people. The attitude in the place can be felt the second you walk into the door while the dusty smell hits you. Come on, a coupon, geez, really, a coupon. I challenge this place to not write on the prosthetic legs any more and just donate them to a good cause, do the right thing you greedy mean people. read more

I come here every time we visit this part of the state. I like that it has no smell. I find brands I usually buy like Talbot's, Chico's, Liz Claiborne, Gap, Coldwater Creek, Ruby Red, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. as well as basic lines like Land's End, Alfred Dunner, Old Navy, Loft,and Croft and Barrow. Of course there are cheaper lines like George and White Stag, but they are priced lower. The new goods are all together so they are easy to peruse. For sure check out the half off coupons.
