Last Chance Thrift Store is large and has some great deals. There's also some ridiculously over priced items. I found a notable brand name shirt for $20. No ma'am. But also found lots of clothes for $7.99 and under. I found quite a number of items very easily, all is great condition. Store is clean, well organized, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Some items are in multiple areas, like housewares, so you really have to be prepared to walk the whole store if you looking for something specific. That said there is something for everyone (ie. books, clothes, dishes, jewelry,toys, bedding etc). And the location is easy to find on a main road. Parking spaces are tight so watch when coming and going. I would definitely go back. I suggest drop off some items for donation, then shop. read more

My parents moved to Palm Harbor in 1996, so I have been shopping at the Last Chance for close to thirty years. It is a nice open store that is well organized and well lit. Prices I find are very fair, and if you sign up on their email list, you receive each Monday a text offering you 50% off of your entire shopping purchases for that day. That is a fantastic perk. There are bathrooms available and the parking is plentiful. Lamps and luggage are placed outside of the general store, but the area is covered. The one thing I used to dislike about the store was how they offered cds and dvds. They used to have them placed in small plastic storage boxes, the kind you place under your bed. They were placed against the wall, where customers lined up to pay at the cash registers. It was annoying to have to stand there in the way of customers. However, a few years ago that changed, and now shopping for cds, dvds, and blu-rays is much easier. They have placed them farther down in the store near the dressing rooms, so now it is easy and workable to browse and find them. Cds are $1.00, so even without the text discount, they are fairly priced. It is worth your time to check out the Last Chance. read more

I asked if they still had the text available that you could get a discount on your purchases and she pointed to a sign and walked away. I have been frequenting this store for years. It's a wonderful place to find so many hidden gems; I've bought designer purses, shoes, clothes, dish-ware, blankets, jewelry boxes. Pretty much anything you can think of. They are trying to sell this Clawed up wobbly cat tree. The thing should actually be in the garbage not being sold! I wouldn't even bring it into my house for free for my cats. But I guess if they were selling it for $.50 (which they're absolutely not ) and somebody couldn't afford a brand new tree they would be interested. However, it's so wobbly it's not safe. They are trying to sell a very used and old pair of wedge sandals for $14! For $10 more, go to Ross/Burlington and get a brand new pair. Also, a very used pair of Walmart flip-flops is $9. Gross. They have a rack of new with tags clothes. However, they RIP THE TAG IN HALF so the public doesn't know how much the item originally cost from the store. This way, they can charge more than what the store was and no one would know! They forgot to rip the tag in half on this dress from Ross. Ross was selling it for $22. I've been pilfering their goods and clothing since I was about 13 years old. I love the decorations and their pots and pans, purses, scarfs, shoes, and hats assortments! The clothes I find here are pretty good too! They do a great job of putting out and showcasing their more quality expensive items on display AAAAND good news!! It's STILL SO CHEAP! I love collecting old wooden items and they have plenty! Also, they have a huge collection of antiques and unique pillows. This thrift store is the best thrift store in the tampa bay area and the new renovations make it look even better. When you actually look through the items, you discover that they have great items for dirt cheap prices. They also have certain days when all items are 50% off and they often have 50% off your entire purchase coupons in the TBT newspaper which allows you to get PLENTY of things for 10 bucks. Some of the prices are higher than other thrift stores, but I didn't have to sort through a lot of junky stuff to find things I wanted. This is one of my favorite thrift stores. Their prices for women's clothing is very very reasonable. Prices of toys, kitchenware, purses, linen, and furniture is also very reasonable. Books and CDs are also priced like you are not getting gauged. It is one of my go-to places when I want to buy used things and get a deal. A huge plus is they have a men's restroom and a women's restroom. It makes it so convenient for adults and children. The only bad thing about this place is there are only a few changing rooms for both men and women so if you plan to try on some clothes expect a long line and a long wait. Very crowded two days before Christmas -- couldn't believe all the cars there. Fortunately, Last Chance has quite a but if parking along the sides and way way in the back. They have furniture outside along with bicycles and exercise equipment. Inside, tons of clothes, housewares, small appliances, books, wall decor and knick knacks, some jewelry.
