Typical thrift store with lots of stuff to browse through. Everything was in separated areas with a fairly large holiday section. Things were priced reasonably. One thing negative was we were interested in a grill grate cleaner behind the counter and asked the clerk if we could see it. She was not happy because she had to bend down and get it. We noticed there was no price and asked how much. She said she had no idea and was not allowed to price items and did not know where the person was that could. I admire my neighbor lady who has the ability of wearing a 3 dollars dress found at thrift stores and still looks like a rich blond dinning at a Black Pearl Bistro at Dunedin. I love her to death. On the other side, I have come to the conclusion that I have neither talent nor patience for thrift shopping. Suncoast Hospice store is clean and well organized. There are enough spaces between sections for guests to shop without feeling cramped. During my visit, I saw most ladies spend their time at clothing section. Many of them ended up loading pile of clothing on the cart. Price must be good. I was hoping to find a vintage bag to restore and resell on Poshmart. But I was disappointed after walking through the purse and luggage section because of its marked up price. A unbranded leather wallet in its final life span cost 5 dollars. My remaining hope faded quickly after browsing through its jewelry section. The price was high. My neighbor lady thrift shopping for fun. I thrift shopping for bargain. I quit. Use to love this shop but not anymore. Prices are way too high! You can buy on eBay with all the fees and shipping and still come out paying less than you would at this store. A handful of the employees are somewhat nice and the others are rude and entitled. Employees get first dibs on items so when you walk in you can see all the items behind the counter that they are "holding" for themselves. What a mad house. The price here are too high. I picked up 2 tea shirts they wanted 5 each. I went to Walmart and got the same ones new for 350 each.

I've been by this store many times and decided to finally stop in. I have made donations to this particular shop before. The interior was tidy with a lot of merchandise. It was a combination of an antique store and a rummage sale. There were an interesting assortment of item from electronic to clothing to collectables. If you haven't been by, you should stop in and paw over the items. read more

Sun coast Hospice Resale Store 26252 US Highway 19, Clearwater Florida, 33761 Ok, first off this is the one I was at today. And this is for Hospice - so ticks me off when I went in to see staff member telling a lady that was looking for price on used pair of shoes, and was telling her why they were 16.99. Their USED, I don't care what it originally sold for. Lady claimed 69.99 I mean wasn't some high end couple hundred dollar pair and even if it were, their used. The fact that most of what was in that store was so over priced. Come on, especially since cost of living has sky rocketed and people truly need a place more then ever to buy affordable USED stuff. They had specialty bottles of Coke for 19.99 and 14.99. That's absurd, at this point it's a collectible for someone's shelf, that soda and all the corn syrup and sugar has become nasty. Had snow-baby collectibles for twenty something and thirty something dollars, used no box some chipped. Seriously, how greedy do they have to be. Sell stuff cheaper make the money and move on to more stuff to sell so stuff isn't sitting long the turn over is better and people leave happy they found a treasure. It's a big store, terrible location, driven by it for last few weeks since I saw it driving on 19. Finally took time to drive to it. Cashier lady super friendly and quick. Another lady working counter for the jewelry and cabinet stuff seemed friendly and patient and happy to show what she had. I know people brag when they find an object at a resale store and these stores must kick themselves for not catching it, however can't worry about that, keep the stuff selling and everyone wins. Soo many other resale shops in Tampabay area, and some their stuff doesn't move and place starts to sell, others quick turn around. Plus people need to speak up to politicians, taxing used stuff is ridiculous, it's already been taxed. Plus since for Hospice should be tax free and all of it goto Hospice. I was there the other day & there was not a pricetag on an item. I am from IN. So I asked. They made me feel as though I took the tag off. I told them I didn't do things like that. I am 73 years old so why in the hell would I do anything like that. So, the manager told me $5.99. When I checked out I told the clerk the lady said $5.99. I heard lady behind her say that is correct. It was the same lady making damn sure I gave the correct price. I have been in this store many times & it will be the last!! Hope the manager reads this!!
