Make sure that what you buy is in working order. I purchased a paddle board I asked to blow it up to check for holes I was told no it had just been blown up and checked for holes.... Surprise surprise I got home and there was a massive hole. Pretty shady with the no refund policy. My friend went to purchase one and he was told the same thing. He insisted on inflating it and blew up 3 before he got one that didn't have a hole or some other major damage. All were marked tested with no issues. Well, what's to say about this place? It's like a massive thrift store, including appliances, furniture, clothing, electronics, and food. From what my friend explained to me as we were shopping here, it seems they get stuff from stores where it didn't sell (ie Costco and the like). Having not verified that, it certainly seems to be that way. Much of their products are in excellent shape, and yet some things you can definitely find elsewhere for less. You pretty much have to know the prices of stuff elsewhere before you walk in. So why only 3 stars? 1. The lighting is really, really bad in some spots. Hard to see some of the product in areas. 2. Upon walking into the food section, i caught a lovely smell of.....well, it could only be described as "a container of something broke and leaked somewhere but we didn't clean it up so now it's smelly". Most of what they have is canned goods or non-perishable items (no veggies or fruit here, unless it's in a can). read more

Liquidation,not sure it's the correct title for this store. Maybe it was 6 years ago. Be careful when buying.some prices are just ridiculous.the small bags of cat food,the Iams,bags torn or dirty are the same price as Safeway. The k cups are cheaper else where. Cereal boxes which are disgustingly damage are more expensive then the sell we have been getting at co op ect The Costco items are only about 20 percent cheaper and sometimes the same prices. The light fixtures are cheaper at Rona. The place is dirty,dusty.make sure you know your prices. Even the bottles of Vim are cheaper at the dollar store. And because of all the sells on coats and boots they are cheaper everywhere else. One other opinion,the sales clerk is not very friendly. Just a heads up. GOOD deals on canned food and dry food selection are constantly changing by the day have not had any problems last time there had great prices on surplus high-end brand name olive oil $4.00 a bottle got like 6 bottles will not find a lower price and also had Worcestershire sauce large bottle 568 mil $4.99 got 6 bottles also give some away to family while visiting ..good deals when the big skid boxes are shipped in within a week most are gone.... example canned and dry goods ..goes fast always stopping in when around the area on business read more

Went in there today feb 16,2016 and couldn't believe that 90% of the stuff in there was priced higher than other stores. Even the food in there cost more than Safeway, and you know the food in there is not fresh, it's been sitting there for ever. I don't know how this store stays opens and how anyone who shops there doesn't see it. Plus it's final sale there also on most of there stuff. I just can't get over how that place is still open except that there must be a real lot of unaware people in Calgary. Go to Costco and you'll see the same stuff NEW for same price or lower ( not saying Costco has good prices either) but at least if you buy it at Costco and your not satisfied they will gladly return it for you. I loved shopping at this store in the past and experienced good prices, friendly and helpful staff and unique items. Yesterday I had a very different experience with the owner as well as the prices. I bought a balcony fold down table four weeks ago for $50.00 and yesterday the exact same table was priced at $80.00. I asked the cashier if the place had been taken over by new owners and he said yes. I had a few conversations with the owner as he was walking around the store and many items were not priced so I requested his assistance. He was nothing but rude and said he's wasn't floor staff and didn't know any prices. He did not get someone else to help us, he just walked away. The store was in incredible disarray and looked like a garage sale with items jammed on tables with no prices. I will not be returning to this store. read more

Terrible. The only way to describe this place. Was there Saturday for the first and last time. Expired food product being sold for more than what it costs in store when it's new, boxes of dry goods poorly taped up, clothing that's 7.99 at the original store going for 23.99. Not to mention the woman who ran the store having her child running all over the place, hanging on the cooler doors as he opened them. I come here from time to time to get a good laugh ( and maybe find some real deals , if they have any , but mostly they don't ) . They really think their customers must be stupid . Today it look like they brought in some garage sale items ( I guess they didn't sell it in the garage sale so they brought it to this store ) . Oh boy , what do I see amongst the garbage they are trying to sell ? A used axe with a broken handle for $3 . I wonder if they would be liable if someone gets hurt using it after they buy it . Ok , just go there , see for yourself , compare prices , see if you can get a deal if you are lucky , and have a good laugh . This place is terrible. Dirty and dark. The sales clerk wasn't very helpful or friendly. I went there to buy dog food. The bags of dog food are only a dollar or two cheaper than at Costco. The bags are dirty and some of them are torn. What a waste of time! I definitely won't be going back! read more

If you want to spend more on something used then it costs brand new, then this is the place for you. Seriously, pretty much everything here is used and way overpriced...the only thing they are "liquidating" is your wallet. Saw a barbecue that looked nice for $250, decided to look it up first and to my surprise it sells brand new full price for $169 at Lowes (it is a Lowes exclusive so they are the only store that has it). And there's plenty more examples of ridiculous pricing like this. I wouldn't trust any of the food there personally. Looked at some olives and every one had some kind of light brown crusty stuff inside the containers. I've been stopping by this store every once in awhile for years. It used to be ok, good place to get a cheap tshirt. Now they are just gouging and taking advantage of people. I have no idea why people waste their money here. You can literally buy most of the stuff in there for less, brand new and with a warranty! I won't be going back. read more

They are a liquidator, so they get their items from other stores that don't want them Eg supplier sends a pallet of the wrong flavor of an item, store refuses it, it comes here. Lots of the stuff will be perfect condition but in a blank "for mail" or beat up box. Some items will be customer returns and may be perfect or may be missing parts. Other items are dented or have some cosmetic flaw but is otherwise perfect for their use. Know the general price for what you want, and then come here. Some things will be deals, some things will not. For bigger cost items ($100+) you can try making an offer, and they will usually go ~10% lower if you don't mind waiting for a manager. You can even get deals on the cheaper items if you're buying a lot of them at once, eg 20 of a plate set and don't mind chatting with a manager If you're looking for good deals look at the items they have a LOT of (Like a whole pallet of granola bars) or items they have every time you're there. Those are usually the best priced items there. They often have dog food at a decent price, with discounts for buying multiple bags. Another tip, if you have space in your shed and want lawnmowers or snow blowers, You can pick them up at the end of summer / winter respectively for DIRT cheap. Store them for 6 months and bam! you have a perfectly good snowblower / lawn mower for next year. I also saw generators sell very frequently. As for the store itself, it's understaffed and often messy. They often get salvage items (eg a truck rolls over so they get the product) so packages and boxes are often bent or battered, adding to the disheveled look. Prices are usually lower or on par with other stores, but some items (namely junk food, chips, chocolate, some common items) aren't always the best price. They try to keep up with pricing and cleanliness but it's a big store with few workers. read more
