Found a great deal on a dining room table that was priced much higher at other stores. The salesperson was helpful and not pushy.

Nice furniture but HORRIBLE delivery. Paid the $130 delivery and setup charge and we were booked to have our furniture delivered on a Thursday between 2-5. Finally at 645 I told them to not bother as I had plans and they were to deliver the next day. They successfully delivered some furniture but forgot pieces to the rest. This caused them to leave my house with half finished furniture on the ground to be finished at their next convenience- which was 3 days down the road. SO BAD. Warehouse seems to be useless. If you want to miss multiple days of work waiting for your furniture, this is the store for you. No refund was offered or discount on delivery. I had never heard of this place prior to my fiance suggesting we go. We were on the hunt for all new furniture for our new house, so I was up for anywhere that might bring good deals. I don't know how or where they get their furniture, but we're not taking about just garbage cheap furniture here. During our visit, we saw furniture from Ashley's, The Brick, etc. So it's certainly not boutique furniture, and some of it is dated, but overall the selection is quite impressive. The service we received was okay. Due to the size of this place, expecting a sales person to follow you around or be available when you're ready is unrealistic. This place is enormous! But it's size is also why I knocked it down a star. It's really too big, especially when you consider the lack of organization. Everything is just laid out as it comes in, so there doesn't appear to be any structure to the chaos. But in the end, if you're looking for furniture that you would find somewhere like The Brick or Ashley's, it's worth the trip. read more

We bought a table and 4 chairs from here just under a month ago and all the leather is ripping out of the seams on the chairs. When I called in about this issue they said they don't have a return policy and wouldn't even look at the table and chairs to repair it. The manager was extremely rude and told us that he wouldn't take the table back because it was garbage and he couldn't resell it. Horrible customer service. Will not come back. I would recommend going to a different store that provides better quality products and customer service. read more

Like the reviews before me, I agree this place is gigantic. I was skeptical checking this place out because I'm wary of finding quality, unique furniture from large warehouse type furniture stores. This place proved me wrong. They have nice furniture and even artwork. Good service too. There was always a staff offering their help. I checked out furniture shop in Kensington, and I can't justify the price. Crossroads offers decent quality, stylish houseware for a reasonable price. read more

This store has a massive selection with a lot of pretty outrageous prices and furniture that appear to belong in a castle (or with someone that earns a lot more money than me). However, I have come across some great deals. I purchased a king size bed frame and a three piece leather living room furniture set that still rocks after four years. It's nearly the most comfortable leather set I've sat on and the price was right. I usually feel a bit like prey when I browse here as the sales staff tend to lurk, but I enjoy shopping here too much to care. read more

My mom and I were furniture shopping and a quick Yelp search pulled up this store. I've driven by it in the past, but I wasn't sure what to expect. My mom and I were slightly leery walking in, but I was surprised at how HUGE the place was!! Once we walked in, when we were approached by a salesman - eeek! Immediately on the defensive, I was about to tell him we were just browsing, but surprisingly he was not pushy at all! He introduced himself, told us if we needed anything to let him know, and left us be. What a relief! We were approached maybe once or twice more while shopping, but never felt pressured - it was nice that they weren't lurking around us ready to pounce. This place has a great selection - everything from modern to traditional to some straight up funky looking things. I spotted a TON of great items that I was interested in, including a SUPER comfy couch and some awesome mattresses. The prices weren't outrageous at all, although the more upscale furniture was priced accordingly. I didn't purchase anything, so I cant speak to the quality, but most of the stuff looked and felt as good as anything you'd find in the major furniture stores (The Brick, Ashley's, etc). I loved spending an hour or so walking around and checking everything out. I actually spotted a couch I loved and I'll likely return to take a second look! All in all, I was impressed and I wouldn't hesitate to return and purchase furniture here. read more

Great selection of overpriced junk for every taste from the usual fare, to the bizarre. Friendly helpful staff that aren't too pushy. I'm not sure who would buy any of those dreadful wall pictures, somebody with very poor taste I expect. I bought a nice sofa there and a matching chair for $1800. It seemed good quality and very comfortable but it when I brought it home and unpackaged it, I realized it stinks to high heaven! I am now getting a headache from all the harmful VOC off-gassing or whatever musty smell is emanating from it and it makes my eyes water. It is smelled up my whole house. I've opened up a few windows to try and get rid that moldy musty smell. It is reminiscent of the smell from some other stuff I've received from China. I think they spray it with some chemical so that it won't rot on the ship or get eaten by bugs. The smell (formaldehyde)??? permeates everything and gets stuck in your nose. They claim I'm the only one who's mentioned it. I don't see how that is possible. The odour is very disagreeable and I am skeptical whether it will ever come completely out. I went to Canadian Tire and bought a big jar of Bright Air Deodorizer to put underneath the couch to mask the smell but it hasn't helped much. That deodorizer smells almost as bad! Also the chesterfield looks much better in their dingy warehouse than in my nice home. I ended up covering it up completely with with blankets and throws because it looks and smells like crap. This is my second trip to Crossroads. I was impressed enough the first time to return for a second purchase. My first was 3 years ago when we purchased a leather couch and sofa set for the family room. I went back recently as I was in need of a new kitchen table & chairs. The great thing about this store is that it is HUGE and the selection is very good. However, this is not high end furniture (regardless of what price tag they slap on it). If you want something hand made / high quality, this is not the place for you. That being said, I do find it much better quality than what I have seen at The Brick (which has consitently offered pressboard and veneer as furniture options), and much more selection than other big box furniture stores. I have a family with busy kids and pets. I'm not about to sink huge amounts into something that risks being damaged with every indoor hockey practice or gymnastic routine. Crossroads has consistenly offered reasonable products at a reasonable price. What's more, I can usually negotiate a small discount to make it even more appealing, especially when I purchase more than 1 piece of furniture. Salespeople are not pushy, but I only go in when I'm need of something. I don't window shop for furniture so when I go in, I will require some help. If you do your research, a large portion of what they sell is 'Made in China' and most comes unassembled. You can comparison shop online as much of what they offer is also offered from on-line furniture sellers or other retailers. I think its a good store to find those major furniture pieces at a reasonable price. Gone are the days when I can purchase heirloom peices of furniture, and until I can safely have something in my house that won't be ruined, I will continue to shop at Crossroads. read more

Bought a floor model sectional and as it was the last one they had, final sale. Thought that would be fine as set up in their showroom, it appeared great. What a joke! Corner piece is from a different set entirely! Locking brackets don't match and the fabric and height are slightly different. An area rug we bought there took nearly 2 years to loose the "funk" smell. Will not purchase there again! read more

I was told the price was guaranteed for a month, that if they had a sale I will be refunded the difference, I went back one week later and the product I bought was on sale but they never honored their word and never gave me a refund for the difference. Also, after I paid I was given the floor model instead of a new one, they charged me the price of a new one but gave me the floor model without even mentioning it. And a guy named Brad was very rude and disrespectful. I will never go to buy anything from them again. I cannot trust them after they lied to me. read more

We went into crossroads furniture and spent a huge amount of money. We were told that everything we bought was in stock. When the delivery arrived we were missing a nightstand. We called to find out why the the furniture we had paid for was not in stock or delivered like they had promised. They told us it would arrive in 5 to 6 weeks. We were not happy that the furniture that we were promised was going to take an extra 5 to 6 weeks but didn't really have another option. 2 months later we called to find out the status on our order. We were told they let us know the next day but we got no response. We called again and we're given some BS excuse about how their system was down and they would contact us the following day. Once again no response. We still have been unable to find out when or where our $700 nightstand is going to arrive. Completely unacceptable and we will be purchasing the furnishings for the rest of our house elsewhere. I will also be letting everyone I know not to waste their money there. read more

This was my first visit to Crossroads Furniture. We're looking at furnishing a new home (3,700 sq.ft.). I had heard from a friend how large a showroom they had with all kinds of furniture. I went on line and saw they partner with different companies for furniture and one company AICO had a bedroom collection that I was particular interested in, as well as some other furniture for the living room. My list with the information about the furniture I wanted ie. the company, # code and finish, was shown to the sales person on the floor when I first came. He was polite but more interested in showing me what was in stock on the floor . Which was OK - I wanted to see what they had in store. I looked around at items they already had in, but when I asked the salesperson about a couple small, non furniture items that I wanted to buy that day and if they had any in stock, I got real attitude. (very dismissing and couldn't care less) . Needless to say. I did not pursue finding out about the bedroom and living room furniture I had originally come in to see or possibly order if not in stock. Yes, they do have a large showroom and interesting pieces but for this size of area is not very organized to make it easy for looking. I probably won't be back to the store. I am desperate to get some furniture but there are other furniture stores around that carry AICO and other good lines and hopefully they have staff that are service minded and who want to sell furniture. read more

Not bad. The prices were good except I wish they carried solid wood products. The sales guy told us the furniture we were buying was solid wood and when it was delivered our Hutch came damaged and they fixed it with putty and a sharpie marker!!! We know the wood is not solid as its only cheap lamite..so I guess you get what you pay for from here. :( read more

This is a very bad store. Stay away !! My cough that I purchased, which was very expensive, leather, faded so bad in the light, that part of the leather is now almost white. They would not do anything about it, saying that the warranty doesn't cover fading. I had other leather furnitures before and it NEVER faded like that. Very bad service. I had another issue as well, and again, the service was awful. I finally got a lawyer involved in the case. Definitely not the place to shop. read more

This was the WORST experience I have had in a long time - after being a month late in delivery I finally received all my bedroom suite - 2 of the 4 pieces were damaged, 1 was the wrong colour, ... it was a comedy of errors on their part. They did not have me pay GST because the whole order could not be delivered at once, and after 2 attempts to pick up my order, I insisted that they deliver it for free. However, after that they had to make two different attempts to deliver it because of all the errors, and would not give me any break for the stress and inconvenience of having my room turned up-side-down in preparation for my furniture - I DO NOT recommend doing business there and WILL NOT go there again. read more
