If I could put 0 stars... I would Aggressive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable management. We stayed here during Fantasy Fest, paying over $10,000 for what was supposed to be a premium property -- instead, it turned into a nightmare. There was major construction directly across the street that we were never informed about, waking us up every morning at 7 AM and blocking our entrance with work vehicles. Their excessive power use caused multiple electrical outages, forcing us to relocate our staff for an entire day. We reached out to Alina, our assigned representative, multiple times and never received a single call back -- there was zero communication the entire stay. Then on checkout morning, exactly at 10:00 AM, Alena, the property manager, stormed into the home unannounced, banging on every door like she was the police, yelling for us to get up, and threatening to call law enforcement. She was extremely aggressive and confrontational, giving major attitude while we were still half-asleep after working 18-hour days all week. Moments later, she brought in her manager Joyce, who escalated the situation even further -- yelling, pointing her fingers in our faces, refusing to let us close the door, and repeatedly threatening that she "knows the PD" and would make sure we go to jail. This was harassment, intimidation, and a complete violation of our privacy and safety. For the amount we paid, the lack of professionalism, communication, and respect was appalling. We will be filing a formal report with Airbnb and strongly urge anyone considering this property to stay far away until the management is replaced. read more

Up until check out day. On the morning of checkout -- after we had already submitted a request for a slight late checkout -- the property manager entered the home without permission, banging on doors to wake us up, and even threatened to call the police. She later returned with her "guest relations" manager Joyce, who came and verbally attacked us, threw her hands in our faces, and refused to let us close the door while we were packing. She also threatened us by saying she knows all of the key west police department and she will make sure we all go to jail. This entire experience was disturbing, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. For the amount we paid, the lack of respect, communication, and basic hospitality was appalling. We are filing a formal report with VRBO regarding the behavior of this management team and strongly caution anyone considering this property. 0 stars. read more

Last Key Realty was wonderful to work with before, during and after our stay in Key West. Highly recommend renting a property through them. Their communication was excellent. They reached out to us regularly in advance of our visit with great tips, recommendations and offers to assist in anything we needed.They were just a text away with any question we had during our stay, and the response was immediate. While in Key West we constantly saw Last Key cars zipping by, they are definitely a big presence in Key West. I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this property management. We spent a significant amount of money, yet our communication was completely ignored. We faced constant issues with the electricity going in and out throughout the week, and despite numerous calls, no one responded. On top of that, there was extreme construction noise starting at 7 a.m. every morning, which was never disclosed. When we requested a late checkout due to our work schedules, we were met with hostility. The property manager even showed up during checkout, putting her hands in our faces and physically intimidating us. Instead of giving us time to pack, she would stand in the door way threatening to call the police, claiming she knew all of the police officers and that she was going to have all of us going to jail. When the police showed up, they said that she had no right to do what she did and that nobody knew who she was! It was not only inconvenient but also deeply disrespectful. We are planning to press charges due to this mistreatment. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences we've ever had, and we strongly advise others to proceed with caution. read more

No hot water in several showers. No response to over 12 requests for service. After 3 days we got hot water but shower dripped continuously. My family and I rented two townhouses from Last Key Realty for a week. We went without a working shower for four days that week. There were countless issues that were not taken care of. We couldn't even get so much as a call back. BE WEARY of this group. While the locations are stunning, you will not be treated well and their properties are in disrepair. As I read these reviews I am wondering if we are speaking of the same company. I am a property owner I have not had a positive experience with Last Key. I have since terminated my contract with them. I purchased my home and Last Key was involved with the previous owners, so I continued to use their services. Several concerns regarding doing business with Last Key. Our agreement allowed Last Key to make minor repairs and charge me costs plus a fee for doing any work. So EVERY single month they would find several things that needed to be fixed usually to the tune of a few hundred dollars per month, every month. In July I received an 2 month old invoice that was NOT processed through Last Key but given to me by the concierge and was told to pay the vendor. Why is this concierge soliciting vendors not provided through Last Key? One time I was given a $450. Invoice for what I was told was for a deep clean of the garden, done WITHOUT my consent. Per the concierge she would provide before and after photos which never arrived. In order to control their spending I had to modify the contract and require that I be contacted before they made random repairs. Pay ATTENTION to your monthly statements. There are other options for managing a vacation rental. My current company charges 10% not the 30% Last Key was charging. With my current company the payments are made directly to me at the beginning of the rental and I pay the commission. Last Key will collect the rent and deduct their fees and other charges and send you what is left next month. I'm providing food for thought to encourage individuals to review their options The final insult for me was when I scheduled myself time in my home and was told I could NOT check in until 4pm! I booked a group trip to Key West, staying in a Last Key property. The property was gorgeous and in a great location, as advertised. The communication before and during the trip was excellent and so helpful. The concierge service and amenities/trips/rentals we took advantage of really made the experience and were so easy to arrange! Also as we were traveling when covid was very high in Florida, we were relieved at the strictness of the building on masks, cleaning and distancing! I was on my scooter making my way on a small lane. Cars were legally parked on one side, when I noticed a car parked on the other side of the lane blocking access to the lane. I waited patiently. Then I decided I could make it between the legally parked car and the car blocking access. As I slowly began inching forward, an old white male jumped into car blocking the access, pulled to the right and stopping about 2ft from me. He jumped out of the car and said, 'what is your problem now?' He was rude and obnoxious as he kept saying just go around me. As he was being rude and obnoxious, another car was attempting to use the lane. The easiest action was for me to go around his car onto the sidewalk as he had said he would not back up for us. There are many choices for lodging in Key West and I urge readers to not choose Last Key. Consideration of others is so important in customer service. It was obvious this old white male had no inclination to choose consideration for me and the other vehicle. The entire world has had enough of old white males lack of consideration, communication, self responsibility, common courtesy, compassion.... As a local, i will never recommend Last key Realty. read more

We rented the Puerta Coralina house from Last Key and they couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Our representative, Samantha, contacted us before our arrival date to firm up arrangements and stopped by to greet us in person and answer any questions about the house almost immediately after our arrival. The property was extremely nice and had a very well equipped kitchen and a cute back deck and small pool. It was great having three bathrooms for three people. Neighborhood is residential in old town and very quiet. Cemetary is across the street, Lol. Duval Street is walkable although a longish walk. Sometimes we used an Uber as the Duval Street restaurants don't seem to have parking, valet or otherwise. The only slight negative about the property is that there is no driveway or assigned parking. Some street parking is available but many of the spots are marked for resident permit only. Once we got a good spot, with Samantha's help, we didn't move the car until we left. In all, highly recommend Last Key and would book this property again. read more

We rented a condominium at Docckside Daydreams from Last Key Realty. The condominium was absolutely beautiful and recently renovated. Danny from Last key realty was awesome. He called me the morning of our arrival to tell me he could have us arrive early if we wanted to and also asked what kind of beverages and desserts we liked and coffee we drank. When we arrived, everything we discussed on the phone was there and the entire condo had everything from laundry detergent,, dryer sheets, dishwashing tablets etc. We had a few questions that evening and called Danny and he took our call and answered all our questions. Excellent! If you are going to be visiting Key West and need a vacation or long term rental I highly recommend Last Key Realty. I dealt with Lori and she was just awesome...great customer service skills and patience. She welcomes you at check-in and check-out. The morning I checked in she offered a coupon for Banana Café (which was delicious but that's a separate review), she also gives you a little tour of the property. You would think most realty companies do this but they don't, so taking the initiative to make me feel welcomed right from the start is something I don't take for granted. Also, any time I had some sort of technical difficulty in the house I received same day response/repair. I stayed at Toba's Treehouse and I must say it was a great location; quiet neighborhood but still close to the action (though everything on this island is close to the action). Some stuff in the house could use some upgrading but overall I had a wonderful experience. Grill, pool, sun, and family...it is paradise in Key West! read more

One said properties were available and she would not return phone calls or emails and the other person would answer the phone and emails but was incredibly rude. Last Key Realty is not very good. I turned my property over them to manage. They did a terrible job and charged many items were not required. In addition they charge a fee of $1000 or more, every month, to the tenant above and beyond the 20% of the rental fee. They replace the ignitor on my brand new grill, apparently they forgot to turn on the gas. They replaced my brand new solar lighting for over $400 without permission. They attempted to charge for a plumbing issue that did exist and the plumber did no work. They tried charge me a new vacuum cleaner when I already had brand new vacuum cleaner on site. The vacuum they provide in terrible shape. And the list goes on and on. Now that I fired them they are saying the smart key they installed was $399 installation vice the cost of the system. No ethics exist in Last Key Realty. read more

We had a wonderful stay at Noona's Mansion in April 2019. We were in Key West getting married and our parents and some of the family stayed there. It's a great home base to walk to everything and a bike ride away to Fort Zachary (my favorite beach in KW). If you are looking for a property to use as a "Getting ready" spot for your groomsman & bridesmaids, this is THE place to be. Also, if you have kids there is a splash pad and playground steps away. The house itself was absolutely gorgeous, couldn't have asked for more. Super nice pool with a waterfall and fun lights at night. Wonderful furnishings and tasteful modern beach house decor. There is even an awesome rooftop patio that you can watch the perfect Key West sunset from with drink in hand! Shel was wonderful and even greeted us with a delicious surprise key lime pie which was a nice touch. I'm pretty sure this is the nicest property on the island by far. Pictures to prove it! We rented Havana House in January, 2018 from Last Key Realty. The entire rental process was super easy from start to finish. Alex O'Donnell, the agent, helped us select the best property for us and for our pets, handled all paperwork and set up the payments. It was a seamless process. Before we arrived, we received questionnaires abt our interests etc so that the staff of Last Key could make our stay as wonderful as possible. Amanda Anderson, our guest services coordinator, answered various questions abt the property, met us at the rental when we arrived and showed us around. She was fantastic and I am not just saying that because she provided treats for our pets and key lime pie and champagne! (But she did do all of those things.) Amanda was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns, and our stay was fantastic. Abt the house - we loved it. It is a great home w incredible outdoor space in particular in a great area of old town and walkable to everything. Cannot say enough abt the house - the pictures (on their website) should convey it, but it truly is a lovely home! We were the first people to rent 101 Front St #24 in the Truman annex. We were met by Greg at the house. He was there getting the property ready. Not only was the place amazing when we walked in he had key lime pie and Mimosas waiting for us! (Nice touch Greg). The house is very up to date and high end( granite counters, stainless appliances and tile floors). And not to mention well equipped and stocked with everything from dish detergent, Tide Pods and fabric softener and every pot pan dish cup and silverware! They even had sandwich bags in the drawers! The location is perfect. 5 min walk to everything. But secluded enough for us to never hear any neighbors or much less even see anyone! We will for sure use Greg at Last Key again hopefully soon! I have to change the stars to four and that's upsetting. Everything was great except for the day we left. I informed Lori of our flight arrangements before we arrived( now this is partly my fault for not double checking with her that it was ok to stay and extra two hours). Check out time was 11, at 10:30 the front door opened and a hound woman walked in, I asked what she was doing there and she said she was there to clean. I told her we still had a half hour. (That's when I realized my stupidity in not asking for an extended check out time). She said ok and walked out the door. 10 minutes later an older woman walked in and said she was there to clean. I told her we still had laundry in the dryer and wanted to throw away our trash ( I know that's part of their job, but I like making things as clean as possible when I leave a rental). She got very angry and huffed away. I asked for 30 more minutes. My cousin had to put his wet clothes in his suitcase, and I didn't have a chance to check all the rooms for any misplaced items (thank God we grabbed everything). When I told her 15 minutes later (not the original 30) that we were finished she huffed past me and sarcastically said "thanks a lot". So after all was said and done, we were out on schedule and got attitude anyway. Would have been nice for them to knock on the door instead of letting themselves in unannounced. I would have been extremely upset if we weren't there but o all of our luggage was. Other than that, the stay was wonderful and am looking forward to it agin next year, just not in August!!!! read more

My husband and I stayed at Sunset's Solace for a month this spring and fell in love with Key West. We found the location perfect for an extended stay - close enough to enjoy all Key West has to offer but far enough away to also enjoy peaceful nights and wonderful sunsets. Last Key Realty was first class from start to finish. Lori handled the booking process and was very responsive. Shannon provided additional information prior to arriving in Key West, met us to deliver keys and walk through the condo, contacted us frequently to ensure everything was going very well and also provided many suggestions on restaurants, shopping and attractions. They were both amazing and strived to ensure our entire stay was perfect. The condo was beautiful, very large, updated and clean. It's even roomier than the photos portray and is well-stocked including all needed household items plus an outdoor grill. Some starter consumable items, e.g. paper towels, were even provided allowing us to begin enjoying our trip immediately. The complex has covered parking which is great plus with all the sun in Key West. We also enjoyed the beautiful pool and hot tub area. We brought our bikes to Key West and found them invaluable for getting around. Many bike rentals are available if you don't have this option. There are also several bus stops close to this condo and we took advantage of this transportation option. The balcony view was amazing looking over the marina and out to the ocean. We really enjoyed watching the marina activities every day and drinking a glass of wine while watching the sunset every night. The water life was amazing at the marina, we saw horseshoe crabs, manatees, a bull nose shark, and HUGE tarpons! If you're planning a trip to Key West, I would definitely consider this condo or any property through Last Key Realty. read more

We had a wonderful stay at the Bahamian Bamboo house in the Truman Annex. The house is beautiful and the pool with the waterfall is perfect. Shel met us at the house, showed us around and provided us with insider shopping, dining,and drinking options that we referred to all week (Blue Heaven for breakfast - awesome - Santiago's Bodega - awesome and the Eaton Street Seafood Market OMG may be the best meal we had even while eating curbside at picnic tables!!). The staff at Last Key Realty was very helpful with dinner reservations, answering questions before we even left PA and they took care of receiving and delivering our grocery order prior to our arrival so we had a fully stocked kitchen. We would highly recommend Last Key Realty, their staff, and (especially) Shel to anyone considering travelling to Key West. read more

Our rental experience with this company was very average to poor. We were late getting there due to an accident which shut down traffic on the 7 mile bridge. We were given written direction which were not correct to get into our unit. I tried to call our contact and the rental place (at 10:30 pm) and there was no answer at either. The only reason we got in was the door was not properly closed. The key situation in our unit was miserable for us and our adult children. They really need to update to modern key cards. Additionally, the units had 2 different numbers on them. Because of the weird numbering system, at one point we had a strange man pounding on our door because he thought it was his unit. He was yelling on the phone and at our door due to his frustration. Also the concierge service seemed to be a racket. We did not feel as though we got good recommendations. Couldn't be happier booking with Last Key for our very first vacation in Key West. They were more than accommodating and made sure that we had the best stay possible. Shannon is amazing! She went above and beyond for us and was so friendly and kind to our family it felt like we had known her for years. The views at 1800 Atlantic Blvd were awesome and the condo itself was beautiful; equipped with smart TVs in every room, bright beautiful furniture and art on the walls, and a beautiful kitchen with enough space for our family of 6. Right next door to the picturesque Smathers beach. It's a very nice, white-sand beach with chairs and umbrellas available to rent, as well as fun water activities like self-sailed small catamarans, kayaks, and paddle boards (which we rented). The water is so clear and it stays shallow for hundreds of yards out to sea so you can see the bottom the whole time while paddle boarding. Wildlife is plentiful; we saw gentle nurse sharks, sting rays, live conches, fish, crabs, and a sea turtle. Fantastic trip all in all, Last Key is our agency if/when we do return. We stayed at Puerta Coralina as a last minute booking for a surprise vacation with friends. It was all of our first times to Key West. Though our stay was too short, we had a fantastic time. Our hostess greeted us upon arrival & was very quick through the basics; giving us all the information we needed & the privacy & sleep we so desperately needed. I'm sure she saw the red in our eyes as we just came off the red eye into Key West. Fortunately, there were no guess prior to our arrival & they granted us early arrival access. The home was perfect for the 4 of us. 6 could in fact stay there comfortably. The space was clean, had everything we needed & was very comfortable. Everything is just a short walk away. The location was perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better trip...except for more time. But I'm sure we'll be back!! read more

Absolutely agree with a previous negative review, the sales associates do not know what they are doing. I was quoted one price on a rental house only to be informed that the price had magically increased by $1100 the next day. In addition, the sales person (Monica) told me that it was "incredibly difficult to understand me because of my accent". Hey, if you are fine with taking 5 digit sums from "foreigners" to rent them a small 2 bedroom house, then you should be able to bear with their accents. I found this attitude unacceptable from a service professional; confusion and rudeness is not a way to handle the business. read more

We own several rental properties in Key West and decided to try a management company for the first time to handle our rentals. We found the owner to be very arrogant and difficult to work with although very nice upon the first meeting when he wanted to obtain our property for his listing. We transferred our VRBO site to them that we pd $500 for and then they pd an additional $500 to give us the best exposure and then were going to take the $500 that they paid out of any rental money that they generated for us. They had about $20,000 in rental business during prime season for us and blocked it off on our VRBO site for Nov., Dec. Feb. We were selling our house which they knew upon taking our listing, and we got a potential buyer but we had no closing date set and we did not inform them of the sale as it was not going to effect our rentals in any way as we were going to make the closing date after the rentals were completed if the sale was even going to take place. We knew this was not a strong buyer as the contract had a lot of contingencies and the agreement is about to expire therefore there was no need to inform Last Key Realty to move the tenants they had booked for our house. The owner finds out via 3rd party about our POTENTIAL sale and decides to cancel all of our rentals and our contract with him at the last minute. He wanted something from our potential renters in writing saying that they were going to honor the renters however, we could not provide that since we were going to set the closing date after the rentals that were on the books were completed and the buyers contract expires this month, therefor there was no need for a letter. Our Realtor even agreed to sign something for them if the rental company wanted to present a document for them to sign for reassurance. Nothing was provided. He then moves our renters to other properties that he manages and then asks us to pay for the $500 upgrade that he was to take out of our rental income that he has now moved elsewhere. I sent him a letter stating that we did not feel that we should pay the additional $500 as he moved our renters, while using our VRBO site to his other properties so he is still getting paid his commission and someone else is now benefiting from the renters that we taken from us. He was also the one that canceled our contract "effective Immediately" per his e mail to us. We even had renters that were to go in this month. The Nov. renters were also booked at a time they knew we had a contract on our house. I did get a response from Alex in their office asking for us to transfer the listing back to us, and I said that I did try but VRBO was having some technical issues and that they need their security info in order to make the transfer. They would not provide the information. On top of this, the last time I was in town and checked on our property, I arrived at the house and 4 of our smoke detectors were disengaged. I e mailed them as I was not sure who would come in and just unhook our smoke detectors. They said that their maintenance guy heard one beeping while he was working next door and came in and unhooked one but did not know who unhooked the other 3 which was a bit disturbing as no one else had access to our house other than our Realtor whom did not unhook them and they needed a ladder to even access them. 4 smoke detectors were just sitting there disengaged which could have been a hazard had a fire occurred. A light was also out and our shower curtain ripped, which were all things that I thought the management company would have taken care of without me having to point them out since we are basically out of town owners and why we had hired the management company to manage our property.
