Our Job turned out to take a little longer than anticipated, but they kept at it and finished it. We had to empty our attic, They were able to get this done in a timely manner. I would certainly rehire them in the future. When chatting over the phone, it seemed the job would cost a little less than ended up costing. However, as I already wrote, they earned their money. They're very expensive and move really slow. I called the evening of Friday February 12th and my move was the following morning on Saturday February 13th, 2021 which was good but they broke my entertainment center, which the owner said he'd reach out to me on Monday to pick it up and get repaired. Come Monday I didn't hear from him and he never responded to my texts. I will update review if that changes. Here's my experience: It was Friday night (February 12th) when I called Last Minute Movers. I originally had another company scheduled for my move but minutes before that company was due to arrive, they canceled on me. So when I called Last Minute Movers and asked for their next available move time, it gave it away that I was in a bind and it was on a weekend so the owner took advantage of it! He quoted me an inflated "weekend" price of $150 per hour; $75 trip fee to get to and from me, and $56.25 for fuel (which is 10% of the combined hourly rate and trip fee) But they only sent me two movers which led to them taking 3 hours and 3 minutes to move me from a first floor, one-bedroom apartment and detached garage. I think it's ridiculous to only send two movers when I'm paying $150/hour. And I don't think a one-bedroom apartment on the first floor should take 3 hours to move when I already had everything packed up and ready to go, plus I helped unload the truck; the guys just moved very slowly. And they rounded up that 3 minutes to the 15 minute increment for a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes. That math added up like this: $150rate x 3.25hours=$487.50 plus trip fee of $75 added up to $562.50 Then they charged me 10% of that subtotal $56.25 as the fuel charge. My move was only 4.8 miles (insert eye roll). Plus $61.87 in taxes. For a grand total of $680.62 (FOR A ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT!!!) Oh by the way, I paid cash but had I chosen to pay with a credit card, they would have tack on an extra 4% for merchant fees. Well I will tell you that this company is outstanding. I was Stood up by another local moving company on the day of my local move, needless to say I was livid. I called Last Minute Movers and they got the job done... theses guys worked so hard and they were very polite. They arrived late afternoon due to my dilemma but they never showed any concern other than we will get the job done.. no worries! Ruben and Karen are both very nice people to work with and it's a Christian company. Praise God for people like this. They were angels sent to take care of me. The crew showed up unprepared to pack our belongings, although I had made it clear with the estimator that we would need our belongings packed. They had to go get supplies, so there was an extra delay getting started. After working for two days, and over $3,000 later, we were left with about 30% of our belongings still not moved to our new home. We have spent the past ten days packing our things and moving them in our own vehicles. My husband and I are over 65, working in the Texas heat, and both of us work. I'll never use this company again. The crew members were polite, but I guess we should have not relied on them to pack all our things. I found excess packing used on things that didn't need it (three sheets of paper for one melamine plate. Really???). We close on that house in five days and I just hope we can finish our move by then. I didn't realize how much they had left behind until we returned to our house the next day. We booked this company and they were a no show and when we tried calling their office all we got was a recording because their office was closed on Saturday. We had come from out of town and booked a hotel to stay at in order to meet them the following day but they never called us or showed up. It was a waste of time and money. When I called them the following Monday they would not answer my phone until I called them from a phone number they did not recognize. They just said they were sorry they did not show but their other jobs lasted later. They did not call to explain that day when we were waiting for them. I would never recommend them. They are unreliable and untrustworthy. read more

Initially had some issues with scheduling, partly my fault since I changed time on them 3x's. These guys made up for it though. Pancho and Julian (two of the movers) hustled throughout their entire time on the clock starting from the minute they arrived. Helped me move into a second floor apartment. Very polite, hard workers, and careful with your furniture. Would recommend to anyone looking for help with moving as they do not waste your time and try to add more minutes to get paid more etc they just get the job done as fast as they can! read more

We are moving from Corpus Christi, Texas to Canada and I needed some help loading my U-Boxes. Of course it was last minute and how appropriate than Last Minute Movers. I called and made the reservation. I received a confirmation call and they showed up on time, neat in appearance, and ready to work. They were very informative, professional and well organized. They loaded my U-Box with no fuss and everything was wrapped and loaded with care. Most services will try and maximize the time and labor charge milking every minute they can but they were very honest and kept me in the loop with proper documentation for my records. Last Minute Movers quoted me "$650-750 at the high end. This is for three movers and packing time/products." They had taken over 6 hours to pack my two bedroom two bathroom apartment even though I had already packed both bathrooms and packed all the clothes for each room. They started at 8am and finally got to my new apartment at 2pm. Once they got to the new apartment that I was at, they were working quickly, but then sent my third mover home because "he wasn't doing anything." Even though I was paying and quoted for three movers and they had told me he had been making them go slower all day. That's the quality of service I'm paying for? Then when they had finished they charged me $1600!!!!! $500 for packing materials that were these large sized boxes half full of pillows with paper sitting on top. Packing peanuts in boxes that didn't need packing peanuts and paper just stuffed anywhere so they could charge me for 25 lbs of paper!! When the mover called to tell the person at the site how much materials they used, he was on speaker phone, and told him, "Wow, good job man!" So not only do I feel like they dragged their feet and tried to take their time packing my belongings and loading them since I was unable to stay at the apartment, they overcharged me for materials of half filled boxes, paper, and peanuts put anywhere and everywhere they could even when not necessary. Then to top it off, when I went back to my old apartment, they had not removed the curtain hangers from the walls or wall mounts for my TV and left my apartment AC on 59 degrees!!!! So on top of paying a ridiculous amount to move, I am going to have to pay a stupid high electric bill!!! I was in a financially hard spot since it was an emergency move to get my son and I out of danger, but now Last Minute Movers screwed me even more and am in a worse financial position!!!
