Alexis assisted us and was very kind and knowledgeable. She listened to my moms needs and concerns which had to be factored in with the selection process as she is disabled and in a wheelchair. My mom selected her carpet and tile and scheduled an appt for an employee to come out and measure. Alexis allowed us to take the samples she selected home so we could get a better feel of how it would look and pick up in the lighting in her house. The technician will pick the samples up when he comes. I'm so pleased! While the showroom isn't large they had a good selection and customer service was excellent!

During the sales process they adjusted their price downward by 25% after we obtained a competitive bid (they were not happy about that, I'm sure). The installers worked very hard to get the job done but towards the end they hurried and did not do a great job on the last room and left all of our walls filthy to the point we almost needed to repaint, but I didn't complain. I was disappointed that Alex did not arrange for matching threshold materials and so I called after the installation to see if we could arrange that. I called 4 or 5 times and sent an email, but they never responded. So we gave up and are stuck with the cheap metal threshold that was used. Here we are a year later and we are having problems with the installation in our kitchen. Planks are separating and planing in a high traffic area because the subfloor was not properly prepared. It needs to be fixed soon. Because of our previous experience with them not returning calls, we dropped in and Alexis told us she would have Alex give us a call the next day. He didn't call. We called back 3 more times on subsequent days and each time were told that Alex would call us. He never did. So, the bottom line is that these people are happy to take your money, but you better hope everything gets done right the first time because they do NOT stand behind their work and will simply NEVER call you back if you have problems. I DO NOT recommend this company. We used Aston for countertops and backsplash and their customer service was absolutely flawless. Use them.

So we were in a time crunch by the time we found Quality Tile and Marble. But boy did they save the day for us. Jamie the owner told us over the phone they sell tile but do not install but would be happy to find an installer for us if we were purchasing tile there. The tiles we purchased were BETTER and LESS EXPENSIVE then the big box store we went to originally. And the SERVICE WAS INCREDIBLE. Jamie deliverd on his promise and then some. He called a tile guy who came to our house and gave us an estimate the same day and was able to start the job the next day and even picked up the tiles for us. The tile installers finished the job in 3 days. They installed a kitchen and 3 bathrooms. I could not reccomend Quality Tile & Marble enough. They had everything in stock, helped us pick the colors and styles. Were very patient and attentive to our needs and wants and they truly saved the day for us. I hired him for a kitchen remodel that included plumbing and electrical relocation. Despite claims on his website, he never filed the required permit for the plumbing work and used unlicensed plumbers on my home. When I asked for subcontractor names, license numbers, or proof of insurance, he delayed providing any documentation. I finally got the COI. FUNNY the policy start date was the date after I asked for it. I paid a $12,500 deposit. Work done: Demolition/prep, unpermitted/unlicensed plumbing (which I had to fix), unfinished cabinets, and cans of paint (nothing painted). Certainly not $12500 worth of work. Deadlines were pushed from the promised 2 weeks to a month, bait and switch. The lack of permits, the use of unlicensed trades, the refusal to disclose subcontractor or insurance details, and his increased hostility forced me to terminate him. I tried arbitration via BBB and he has refused to respond. He took off with my large deposit and left me with a torn‑apart kitchen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this contractor. I should have paid more attention to the red flags. After asking for a general quote via BBB, he unexpectedly showed up at my house, UNINVITED. Predatory behavior, Red Flag 1. Conversation got too personal, not professional on his part, Red Flag 2. Spoke poorly of and to his wife, Red Flag 3.

Gilbert has installed two fences for us, The first one was smaller and he did a good job. The second fence (90 Feet) with the Schoolyard behind with plenty of room to work on both sides. They in my opinion didn't set post correctly and they knew this as they had to cut the fence pieces closest to the post and mound of cement inches above the ground. I'm not a fence installer but I could tell something was not right, within two months the post was loose and the fence was leaning. The cost was $1,800.00, we contacted Gilbert and he and his helper came by the next day, they compacted the dirt around some of the posts and said it was because of the drought, I want to explain a month before that we received a phone call from the city notifying us we had already used 18,000 gallons of water and we were about halfway threw billing cycle so I assured him it was not lacking water and pointed out to him all the green grass surrounding the post. He insisted it was the drought, the bottom line is if the post were set correctly they would have not lifted the way they did. There were a few that were set correctly and they were fine. He assured me they would be back by this week and poor more cement around the post. Gilbert never came back, we called him several times, my mom and I both left messages. Several weeks went by and I finally blocked my number and called him and he answered, he said he went on vacation and explained to me he didn't feel like he should pay to fix the fence post. It was not his fault. because of the drought. The fence is now swaying in the wind and less than 2 months we paid him $1,800.00 on a fence that is now leaning and several posts are loose. He kept repeating the drought was not his fault etc. My opinion is If it was done right it would not be loose. You can tell just by looking at the first fence he did. We just want it done correctly. I am not happy with his Customer Service and he should be embarrassed to leave a fence like that. I want to add I ran it by my neighbor who is a contractor to see what his opinion was on the problem. He confirmed the posts were not set correctly. The hole for the post was dug at a slant and cement was unable to cc around the post. I took pictures of the fence boards he had originally cut to fit over the mound of cement and sent him a message letting him know I will have to contact the Better Bussiness Bureau if he wouldn't fix the problem he replied and said his helper would be by next week. It has now been 5 months and no response and no show.

So far not much luck. let me set the stage. i already had the gates, had an opening, had an existing fence. What I needed was to move said gates to roll across and open. Fair enough. Now my rolling gate, for some inexplicable reason jumps off of the rail every time the wind blows. This is corpus, it blows often. I have called and requested service to resolve the issue. Jennifer is a trooper. Keep her. She placates me with a "I will let service know and they will get back to you." I laugh knowing the chances of D&C gates calling back are zip. I hired them because I was told they are the best. hmmm still waiting on the proof. They were and are NOT the best. They charge like they are, they are puffed up like they are the best. Make no mistake they are not the best. What they tried to pass off for quality was quickly rejected. I'm thinking they were going for 11,900 profit. Pretty sure it was 11,000$ profit and a gate that jumps its track every other week. Fun, I am expected to get said gate back on the track. I am not without motivation. I have a board and three blocks that work well. For Now. Pretty sure age will snuff jumping on boards pretty soon. Won't that be lovely?! Spend that kind of money for a gate that doesn't roll.
