    Pork cheeks

Got the pork cheeks. Was excellent. Very tender dark pork meat almost like a beef goulash. Sweet and yellow potatoes were also tender and delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. Would go again.

You need to eat here! This my first 5-star for a restaurant in Lisboa. Service, ambiance, flavors are great. Stefan (husband) runs the front of the house and Margarite (wife) is the chef. We started with a Boa Parte espumante brut (€18) which was tart and tasted of apples. Our first starter was prawns flambé. Rich sauce. We enjoyed every bite. Next was the "chicken in a nest". This is Stefan's idea superbly executed by Gita. A soft-boiled egg inside mild choriço sitting on a bed of greens and covered with "straw". This is an OMG dish. Then, cleaning our hands with the "exploding towels". Time for the next bottle of wine: Vicentino 100% Pinot Noir, bottle 193 of 1200. €45. Great. Our main course was chicken from the oven. A demi-poulet with mushrooms, potatoes, choriço and a velvety sauce. On to dessert: Bolo Laranja. A cake that seemed to be combination of sponge and custard with a orange punch. Went well with my brandy and Tracie's coffee. + Wi-Fi + High-end beautiful flatware. Gorgeous. + Credit cards - Paper napkins. High-quality and bright red. €104 and worth it.

Try the grilled sardines! Husband and wife team. Fantastic food, and they made us feel so welcome.

It was packed with people, which was a good sign. We enjoyed all our dishes, especially the tiger prawns, octopus, and seafood rice. The sangria was average. Pastries de Bacalhau - the crust was not brown enough. May be longer time. The stuffing was flavorful but it's more the cod taste than the flavored mash potatoes which I prefer. I actually prefer the other local restaurant I tried the night before better. Caldo Verde - The potatoe part of the soup is great. Perfect viscosity but the flavor is not. It wasn't salty enough but more importantly is the flavor of the veggies and the spicy sausage they supposed to use that makes the soup taste different. Grilled giant pawns - The flavor of the prawns is not as intense as expected and hope to be. The squid ink pasta also lacked of flavor. That's disappointing. With the prawns, they should at least use the prawn shell to make sauce for the pastas. The pasta was tasteless, didn't even use enough garlic and olive oil to flavor it up. Seafood rice - Another disappointment. They used fish, small mussels and little bit of shrimp pieces along with some bigger whole shrimps and mussels. However, the rice was lack of the true seafood flavor that made from shell fish. They also added cilantro which overwhelmed the whatever left of seafood flavor. The lemonade was not a sweet lemonade but sour. Fyi. It's not fair we just went to another restaurant in the neighborhood and everything was so much better but people should know.

The fact that my husband and I got there before anyone else came, allowed us to have the most amazing conversation with the staff that works there!! Faysal greeted us and was very welcoming! As we ate dinner, Bernardo who is a waiter there, told us the history of the building etc and since no one else was there, we talked about our families and that he going to be a veterinarian...and that he has something else coming up that is going to be exciting. All through our dinner we chatted with him (as if we were having dinner at his house) and enjoyed every minute of the conversation!! It was the best part of the evening! We even got to meet Miguel the chef, and were happy to tell him his food was amazing! I can't recommend this restaurant enough!!! They only charge 19.60 euro for all you can eat!!!! I hope a lot of people read this and go to Rosa da Rua!!!

The restaurant was quaint and intimate , with a small buffet that easily fills you up. There were many options from a beef stew to a curry, a noodle dish with bacon, salad, and other options. They even explained the options to us. I truly wish we had more time in Lisbon because I would have definitely returned to try it again as the options differ nightly. I would definitely recommend this to all in Lisbon.
