Dr. Latocha and his team are absolutely amazing! From the second I walked in, the staff made me feel so comfortable; they're warm, welcoming, and even had me laughing before my surgery. Dr. Latocha himself is incredibly kind and an excellent surgeon. I was shocked at how smooth everything went. I had zero pain after my procedure, barely any swelling, and was even able to go out with friends that same night. By the next day, I didn't even need pain medication. The dissolvable stitches made healing super easy, and everything healed perfectly. If you're looking for an oral surgeon, I can't recommend Dr. Latocha enough. Albeit it's been a while since Dr. LaTocha removed my wisdom teeth, now that I'm on Yelp, I wanted to acknowledge him. I hate visits to the doctor's office. any doctor. Mostly because of the pain and possibility of receiving news that is unsettling or downright scary. So when Thanksgiving loomed around the corner and I felt some sharp pains around the back of my jaw, I instinctively knew that most likely it was time to visit my dentist and see an oral surgeon check on my wisdom teeth. Sure enough, all 4 impacted teeth needed to be removed, otherwise, my grills would be looking worse off than a loose jigsaw puzzle. I was referred to Dr. LaTocha by my dentist and a couple of friends of mine who had gone to him. Even though perhaps he might be a bit on the gruff side and somewhat scary with his remarks (sorry, I don't have perfect gums/teeth - genetics do play a part and I do brush and floss), overall, I was satisfied with the surgery results and came away f without experiencing any pain. Yes, the inside of my mouth/cheeks were torn up from the surgery and it was a much bloodier mess than I anticipated, but as a patient, I thought the overall experience was smooth. I didn't have any pain after the surgery nor did I have need to use my prescription Vicodin. The ibuprofen was sufficient. When I sensed an infection and part of my jaw was swollen, his office was quick to get me in and have an antibiotic prescribed to me. Dr. LaTocha shares offices in several locations throughout Lake County, so he is a journeyman of sorts. You just have to make sure he's at the office that you prefer, or be willing to be wherever he is. His office staff are nice enough and the facilities are well-maintained. He does accept all major insurance and does have affordable payment plans, I think, for those not insured. read more

I went to my local dentist, got a referral to get my wisdom teeth removed. They referred me to this place. I called on a Tuesday to set up an appointment. They told me they couldn't see me for another week or more. Three days later I called crying saying it was an emergency If they could see me ASAP. They took me in that day. The staff, doctor and his assistant were so kind and friendly toward me. It was quick and easy and they made sure I was leaving with no pain. Dr Fabian LaTocha is a fantastic Oral Surgeon. He is such a pleasant person to deal with. He keeps you informed about everything he is doing and everything he intends to do. He is extremely knowledgeable and does amazing work. His staff is also outstanding, pleasant and friendly. To top it off, not only is he the probable best at what h does, he is very fair in his pricing unlike others I have dealt with. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would give him a fifteen, but they will not let me do that. read more

My dentist recommended I see Dr. Latocha when it was determined I need an upper denture. The day of my appointment was nerve wracking but The Doc and his staff soon had me calmed down and prepped for sedation. I had 17 teeth pulled and when I woke up my denture was in place and I had NO PAIN. I expected a dry socket or two but my fears were for naught. I recently visited Dr Latocha for a back wisdom tooth pain. I let it go for weeks cause we all hate going to the dentist. Upon visiting the staff was very polite and reassuring in the sense they'd take care of everything. The Dr administered local shot and about 20 minutes later my tooth was out. I was shocked at how little pain I was in. Actually returned to work right after. Just wanted to say thank you and a job well done!! I have had a TON of health issues in my life and have seen more doctors, surgeons and dentists than most people I know combined. I wanted to give Dr. Latocha a shout out because of the smoothness and overall painless process of visiting his office. From scheduling the appointments to the waitless waiting rooms, on to the consults and etc. it was just absolutely seamless. I had some complications from my wisdom teeth and the ledge of my jawbone had reared through my gums. I called and they got me in the next day, he gave me advice and a prescription for pain. He didn't seem desperate for my money because he suggested not to opt for surgery and that my problem will solve itself with time. My appointment was free! I had the same thing happen a year or so ago in California and it cost me 250 dollars just to ask the dentist a question.
