I suppose I was reading and clicking through the website too quickly because I missed the delivery fee was $6.99 and another fee for $1.00. It wasn't on the receipt that was e-mailed to me, instead I saw it on the receipt when I received my order. It took about an hour after I put in the order to arrive though I'm very close and it was off peak time. The Old English Panini was tasty and filling, but not worth all the additional fees. Another time, around Thanksgiving, I purchased an award winning old fashioned apple crumb pie for a family gathering. Since White Post Farms sells freshly baked homemade pies daily, I definitely wanted to try it. However, I thought the apple pie was okay and nothing really special unfortunately.

If you are not a resident, do the meter parking because the pass is INSANE. All in all great park to go to! Oh and sadly no pets are allowed there.

After checking in at the ticket booth and informing the attendant we were here for the Capybaras with babies encounter at 1:15pm, we started to explore Long Island Game Farm which is home to many exciting, exotic, and local species. We saw a tortoise, alpacas, llamas, miniature donkeys, deers, sheep, goats, cockatoo, camels, emus, and so much more. These animals have been rescued, rehabilitated, or re-homed. The capybara encounter includes general admission to Long Island Game Farm. I had booked the encounter online about a month ago for $100. The tickets sell out quickly. About 1:15pm, we headed to the capybara area and was greeted by the zoo owner's daughter. She gave us some instructions and opened the gate for us to meet the capybaras. We were able to feed them carrots and lettuce and pet them. There were 2 older capybaras and a few younger ones. I took many photos with them and they are so adorable. The capybaras were walking around or in the pool. The zoo owner's daughter was available to answer any of our questions and was very friendly. The encounter finished about 1:50pm. Long Island Game Farm is such a fun family friendly place and I would definitely be back to visit the animals. Included in admission, we got to be so close with the deers and goats. It is located in Manorville, NY and a bit of a far drive from Queens/Nassau, but definitely worth it.

I wasn't able to book the tickets to feed capybaras since it's fully booked. This zoo is not very big but they do have so many cool animals. Soooooo good! I also had to try the corn ice cream. I mean, I love local corn from our Long Island. If they can make vodka from Long Island potatoes, corn ice cream isn't a big stretch. Watching them set up and get all the animals taken care of was a treat. Talking to them for a bit, I found out that most of the petting zoo animals they have were rescues! And they were all so well mannered and couldn't help but but fall for them all! (And there are many!!) Watching them set up was also amazing as they appear to have it to a science ! We had a booth near them and all we did was watch the lines of families there to do both the petting zoo and the Pony rides maintained all day! Owners and staff were wonderful and I wanted to make sure people know it!, They are committed to taking care of these animals which goes waaaay beyond just getting them to these events and parties The care the animals get is obvious when you see them! The entrance fee is $12 per person (cash only) and animal food is available for purchase ($1 per cup). Once you go inside, the large fenced-in area, you'll find smaller pens, each with different animals inside. Some of the animals you'll find here are rabbits, deer, pygmy goats, kangaroos, a miniature horse, zebra, camel, emus, capybara, peacocks, and several others. Some of these animals you can feed/pet (deer, goats, horse) while others you can only look at (emus, camel, zebra, kangaroos). There are signs that tell you which animals are safe to feed/pet and which are not. The goats are actually free-roaming and so you can sit on the ground or a bench and pet/feed them, play with them, etc. There is also a picnic area where you can sit and eat lunch, etc. No public restrooms on the property, but there is one porta-potty. Overall this is a really cool spot to bond with some really cute animals, and a great place to bring the kids!
