It was a busy day at work so I put in a lunch order with White Post Farms for delivery. I ordered through their website: https://www.whitepostfarms.net/ and it was easy to use. I ordered an Old English Panini ($13.99) and Snapple peach tea ($3.50). I suppose I was reading and clicking through the website too quickly because I missed the delivery fee was $6.99 and another fee for $1.00. It wasn't on the receipt that was e-mailed to me, instead I saw it on the receipt when I received my order. It took about an hour after I put in the order to arrive though I'm very close and it was off peak time. The Old English Panini was tasty and filling, but not worth all the additional fees. Another time, around Thanksgiving, I purchased an award winning old fashioned apple crumb pie for a family gathering. Since White Post Farms sells freshly baked homemade pies daily, I definitely wanted to try it. However, I thought the apple pie was okay and nothing really special unfortunately. read more

I have a bday party here in 2023 and though the price seems expensive it really is worth it. It was the easiest party experience you'll ever have. They plan it, they make the goody bags, they have the food and they guide the whole thing. You don't have to do a thing but show up. Food was great -- everyone loved the Greek salad. I have been to White Post Farms about 3x with the most recent visit attending a birthday party. For a birthday party, it was a lot of fun for my 4 year old as they had a lot for the kids to do. The staff were all very friendly and engaging with the children. The children were able to ride a pony, feed the goats with dry feed and milk, feed the little monkeys via a tube system, and pet a bunny. The farm itself isn't too big but I did appreciate being able to explore the farm after the party was over instead of being asked to leave. After the party we went to feed the birds at Ronnies Birdie Landing ($3 per feeding stick or 2 for $5 - cash only) which was a very unique and cute experience that can be enjoyed by both children and adults. The little birds (super adorable with beautiful coloring!) will flock to you, landing on your arms, head and even your phone so if you don't want that, don't go into this area! Beware of getting pooped on too. They also have a giraffe area with 2 very adorable male giraffes that you can feed a carrot or two to. When we went, they also had their Dinosaur Adventure exhibit going on. It wasn't much but my son loved it and went in it 2x. Just a very large indoor space nicely decorated with different dinosaurs/prehistoric animals with some facts. Outside of the animals encountered at the party and while exploring, they had some other farm/zoo type animals (ostrich, camels, alpacas, etc) but not too much. I also saw some outdoor playground equipment but it was drizzling the day we went. I stopped by their inside gift shop as I'm a souvenir kind of person and did not find anything unique or appealing there. The ride on machines right outside the gift shop either did not work or ate your coins (wasted 4 quarters and wouldn't refund) and still didn't work! We spent roughly 1.5 hours exploring the rest of the farm once the party was over and it was pretty empty during that time as well maybe due to the weather. Aside from birthday parties, for regular admission, it's quite pricey whether paying in person or purchasing tickets online. If you go in person, it is cash only ($29.95+tax) which is very weird to me given how many places in this day and age accepting credit cards. If purchased via website, you can use credit card but it ends up being around $37/pp which is very expensive in my opinion. Children 15 months and younger are free. I feel like they should offer some sort of discounted pricing for younger children like 2-5 years old because ~$30-$37 for a child that age is a lot. Upon exiting the farm area, there is a food area with hot foods and other items for purchase such as fresh vegetables, pies, etc. Next to this is another gift shop area with a lot of products that look like they've been sitting there for some time. There's a decent amount of free parking and they have small lots at the front of the farm with much more spots at the side on the grassy area. So in conclusion, White Post Farms is a cute place to take the little ones for a few hours on a nice weathered day (it's mainly outdoors) but I'd probably recommend bringing children when they're a little older just due to the pricing. Their birthday parties are fun but I'd assume they're not cheap just based off how much they charge for admission. Remember to bring cash as this place does not accept credit cards (at least for admission and feeding the birds)! read more

My family and i had an amazing time at this farm on Sunday. It was our first time here and we will def be coming back yearly. It's very family friendly and there's so much to do, it's def a zoo and fall farm all in 1. Parking was a bit hectic but once inside, no stress at all. Def make sure u come with cash and take a map. They do not take cards. We went to the animal area first and were able to do the giraffe experience twice. I wish they were a bit more organized in this area so that families can really enjoy and take better pictures. I couldn't get a pic or video without other people behind me or kids getting in the way. They are my fave animal so i was in heaven but that's my only suggestion. We loved all the animals, went to the play area for my son then the hayride and to the shows. After the mutts show my son rode a horse. We also did the Dino experience which was so cute. Very similar to the Bronx zoo! I can't wait to come back already. We've been here for visits and birthday parties. Always a good time. They have a lot to see and do. You can feed many of the animals, pony rides, new giraffe encounter area and dinosaur walk through. I've worked across the street for over half a decade and I never knew this place had a full zoo/farm in the back! I visited weekly for lunch - this place has the best sandwiches, smoothies, wraps, even sushi!! I was looking for birthday party ideas for my son's 3rd and we ended up booking this place. I was nervous about booking a winter party at a farm but the staff assured me it would be indoors and warm for the kids. What a fun place for people of all ages! Whether you're bringing the kiddies or are a couple looking for a good date spot or with friends looking for a place to hang out, there are attractions for everyone! You must pay with credit cards though. There is an ATM machine once you get inside the park. Bring quarters for the animal food! There are all types of animals including the monkeys, lemurs, goats, a bull, a horse, alpacas AND my favorite- GIRAFFES!!! There is a room to go in for birds and another room for butterflies to land on you. The farm is filled with gift stores, a huge market full of baked goods and fresh produce. We got the banana bread and it was delicious! The food court offers a wide variety. I got sushi and my nephew got chicken fingers. There are pony rides and a magic show which my 8-y.o. nephew loved. They have a huge playground to run around in.... And their new exhibit is very cool! A room full of electronic, animated dinosaurs with special effects! My nephew loved that attraction and learned so many cool new facts about dinosaurs! The exhibit was very well put together! Re: White Post Farm in Melville NY and the many Weekend Activities- Pros and Cons - They are open on the weekdays, but the package of events and activities is inclusive on the weekends with more things going on. Centrally located from Nassau and Suffolk for a day at a Fall Festival. We went on this past perfect weather Sunday. There were many things for kids of all ages. Choosing the best is a personal preference. Though I really want to commend Chief Explorer Carson with the new baby Daisy Dinosaur. He is great, friendly and very effective, especially with the children. (a wonderful puppeteer) A sign notes at the Dinosaur Adventure exhibition " Special Thanks to Sydney & Brooke for creating the Dinosaur Adventure for all to enjoy". The sign does also note to be aware of lights, movement etc. for those that might be sensitive or fearful of such things. Overall, it's really a great exhibit to experience. It can run into a lot of money. The activities are well spread out with shows, food, places to sit and pumpkins, baked goods and candies for purchase. Bring strollers and wheelies. No Dogs Allowed. No refunds, exchanges on purchased tickets. They are for the day. They do give you a map with a QR to scan. Don't ask the kids working there as they do not know where to direct you. There is a charming "Farmer" who does speeches of the information and answer questions. There is a parking area and handicap car park in front. Note: I suggest you go to the front end for Handicap as there is no open gate or entrance on the fenced to opening. Upon leaving there is a register with some gotcha items for sale as you pay for the items you choose to buy. Events as a magic act, circus act with pretty impressive balance act by the young man, dog act, and others are in the back area. In the front is a children's country music and dance act. Many toy items for sale as well. They also have a birthday party section. In the Animal Section there are Giraffes to pet and feed as other goats, and sheep and an area where you can watch monkeys in a small enclosure. There also is a small bird sanctuary where you can buy little cups of food to feed some of the bright colored birds there. Overall a nice way to spend the day. read more

The "festival" advertises itself like you'll be frolicking across rolling acres of autumn wonderland. LIES. The audacity of charging $145 (yes, even for our daughter who JUST turned 2) for this claustrophobic nightmare is genuinely impressive. Bottom line: Unless you enjoy paying premium prices to experience what a fire evacuation feels like or want to get trampled with people running from "Mutts Gone Nuts" to the "Pork Chop Revue", skip this place entirely. We love this place. So much to do. We just visited their Fall Festival and loved all the shows. Two special treats this year stood out. The Great Dinosaur Adventure which is a walk through Pavillion of dino's galore. We were greeted upon entry by Dino Expert Professor Terry Dactile. He was holding a baby dino named Daisy, my kids even got to pet this lively beast. Before leaving walked into the Rodeo Ricky Jamboree, So funny and interactive, Rodeo did magic then had what he called a huge kids dance party. My youngest threw a tantrum because he didn't want to leave the stage. Oliver the giraffe was the sweetest animal of the day. We even fed him carrots. My 3 yr old son had a ball, he enjoyed him self so much with his little cousin who was there celebrating her birthday with the family. He went to the pumpkin patch first , this was his first time there . He loved all the pumpkins and enjoy seeing all the other kids there picking pumpkins smilling playing and just having fun. He next spot he went to was the zoo. He loves all kind of animals. This was right up his alley, it was his favorite spot at the zoo. From the camels to the giraff, the cute little pony ride was awesome. The cows , he loved it. Then he was off to the rides. They had a nice little carousel he had fun on. He didn't want to get off the ride. Especially the little giraff ride. The food was kid friendly pizza and french fries, nuggets etc. Me and my wife would definitely take him back here in the future. I visited the White Post Farms store earlier today, around 11:30am / 12:00pm as I had noticed this place going viral on line recently. After driving about 25 minutes, I walk in to see virtually all bakery items sold out. Is this normal? Late morning hardly seems to be a time of day to have little to no bakery selection. There was barely any pies to choose from and that's a lot it. I've been to Youngs Farm numerous times and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit and was just looking for something new on Long Island. What a great experience, just be prepared it is a bit pricey and even for the littles but it was well worth it. There are ton of animals and a ton of experiences. Your entry does include the free shows, tractor ride, and giraffe experience. You should bring quarters and cash to feed the animals and yourself too. You can pay ahead of time online for your tickets or you can pay in person but CASH Only. There was a ton of animals and interactions. Especially with the birds and pony rides. I loved the fact you can host parties and there's a section of the farm where the kids can play on the different playground areas that they have. There's shade and enough tables too. They have a gift shop and they have some pastry's too that you can buy on your way out! We did buy a toy and some deserts to bring home, that you can use your card for! My husband and I were really startled when we saw $29.99 + taxes per person, including the full price applied to our 4 year old. This is just the entry fee that must be in cash. So $90 right there; just POOF! We were lucky to have this on us and we decided to finally give this place a try after many people suggesting to us to take our son here. That was a great plus for us and it was nice to have variety. One star for their general store - our son loved picking out produce and happily ate plums during our entire visit. Make sure to hold onto your water bottles to fill up at the bathrooms when you get the chance; it was hot yesterday for September. One star for the service - very clean, very friendly staff, and the overall upkeep of the place. Decided to come on a weekday in mid October to avoid weekend crowd and it was $28.95/person. Quite steep. It includes the pumpkin patch, zoo, hay ride. On weekends it's $34.95/person I believe, and there are shows included. Just a note on weekdays, I forgot there would be school field trips but we went on the hay ride or walked through the zoo while the kids were in the patch, since I wanted pics with as little people in the background as possible. I thought the patch was ok, a lot of the pumpkins looked kinda worn and dirty. Maybe because it's end of season that the selection wasn't as good? There were cute hearts in the patch that were shaped with the pumpkins. There are small, medium and large pumpkins. The market has lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and prepackaged apple cider donuts. I saw in the patch there's a hut that I imagine might have fresh donuts on the weekend? And probably cotton candy and other sweets since I saw pictures of them. But the hut was closed the day we went. The hay ride was a short ride in a circle around a section of their corn field. There was a larger section of the corn field that was closed off where the show area was. The zoo had pretty interesting animals and multiple hand washing stations. We saw employees setting up one of their rooms for a birthday party which was cute. I think the main attraction at the zoo is the giraffe experience where you can feed them. There is one adult and two babies. That was kind of cool. In hindsight maybe the weekend might have been better for the full experience. My bf and I go to a pumpkin patch every yr since that's one of our annial traditions even after moving across the country from the Bay Area, and this yr we wanted to try out a new place. This farm is definitely family friendly and good for the kids. For an adult couple, probably not the greatest but I've been seeing lots of pics so at least we got to try a new place out. I did read the reviews before going to White Post Farms and for the most part, they are correct. There are a good amount of animals to see and feed. However, I didn't think the animals had enough room to be themselves. The best part of the zoo was the giraffe area. Since the platform is elevated, their head is right next to you which is great for kids. I spent roughly just over an hour here and I wouldn't say it was worth the price ($30 per person including kids). Also, the store was overpriced. Please avoid. read more

I brought my nephew here for his 5th birthday, and he had such a blast. All of the staff were very nice, and the magic show was cute. My nephew loved feeding all of the animals, and I appreciate the option to feed the animals through a chute. He wasn't a giant fan of the cows and goats licking his hands, so thankfully they had hand sanitizer stations everywhere. Even with all the animals around, he wanted to play on the playground for a bit and even made a friend. Overall, it was a great time for him and me!! been here twice and both times are great for kids. ITs gotten way more expensive and crowded the second time around. Everything inside you need to pay extra. Last month we had an amazing time at The White Post Farms! Joe and I brought my daughter-in-law and our one and only adorable grandson while they were visiting from Florida. Son had to remain home due to work commitment. We went during the week and did not deal with any lines. We were warmly welcomed by staff. Admission for adults at this time was $25.95, Hudson was free of charge because he is younger than 15 months. From what I remember they only accept cash or debit. The first thing you see is the enormous tank displaying many beautiful and colorful fish. Take a peak inside that room so you can see where many birthday parties are held. My daughter- in- law had a few and attended many at WPF. She said they were so much fun and well worth all the precious memories. Approaching the animals Hudson was so excited to meet them all. He fell in love with the very friendly goats and enjoyed feeding them. The selection of animals are very impressive. I was happy to see how healthy and loved they are. Farm is well kept and staff was plentiful and attended to the animals with smiles. Cleary they take pride in working there. Our favorite was the bird sanctuary/exhibit where they fly freely and you can purchase and feed them seed sticks. So cool when they land on you. We also got the biggest kick out of Oliver the camel. So friendly and handsome. He loves to eat the carrots that staff provides you with. We did see a smaller camel in the distance but she was a little shy at this time. Thank you for this amazing experience! There is plenty to see but the farm is not overwhelming. Hudson enjoyed a ride or two but we did not take advantage of the train or mini ponies. We were there for approximately 3 hours which included lunch that we purchased from the farmers market. Very impressed by their fresh selection of made to order meals, and sushi as well as pre-packaged items. They also sell many locally sourced fruits and vegetables as well as homemade pies and desserts. We enjoyed wraps($14.98) salsa with chips included and freshly made to order smoothies($7.99). Everything we ordered was satisfying and delicious. You may eat in their spacious courtyard but don't forget to have your hand stamped so you can return to the animal farm if you choose. White Post Farms has been a part of our lives for decades. Reading the past reviews, people hold White Post Farms near and dear to their hearts. My wife grew up in Huntington and over years we've come here for both our children's petting zoo parties, which at the time wasn't too far from Grandma's house. My sons are now are grown and still remember their birthday animal petting parties. Years ago, I used to work in the area and would come here just for their amazing soups. Over the weekend, I wanted to stop in with my niece and bring back some lunch. White Post Farms has a nice selection of Sandwiches, Wraps, Sushi, homemade Quiches as well as Salads. I order a Greek Salad for my wife (no onions) and Panini Caprese for myself and my niece grabbed a California roll. When we got home, everything was just like I remembered, high quality ingredients being used to make their lunches. I haven't had it in a while but from what I remember, their homemade pies and freshly baked breads rock! Their pies have won National Pie Competition for the Pecan pie. We were gravely misinformed about the price; upon asking a supervisor what it would include he mentioned a corn maze, animal feeding, hay ride, and 0.69c pumpkins. Only for us to find out this was really a glorified zoo. CASH ONLY for most of it and to feed the animals was an additional expense. There was no corn maze and the hay ride was 3 minutes long with no hay and some goofy looking spider. The pumpkins ended up being $6 each even if it's tiny and they aren't even grown there. Kids under 15 months free is ridiculous. Should be kids under 5 free. Cost me $400 just to get in the place. Then the atm fees I had to pay just to get cash. The food was expensive and served us a raw burger that we had to go back and get a new one. And what topped it off, was that I was waiting on the line to see the giraffe and a lady with a carriage for a disabled kid goes to the front of the line and asks the worker if she can go ahead of everyone. He goes, you have to wait on line like everyone else. Shame on him. Kids with disabilities should be the exception to that rule. read more
