It's located on the northern edge of the Miami Design District; I found out that the owner (Piero) is the son of Uruguayan sculptor Pablo Atchugarry. As far as logistics, there is some street parking adjacent the art space as well as on nearby streets. My favorites on display included "orbs" made of combinations of threads by the artist Emil Lukas, as well as a metal sculpture and cityscapes.

They're situated in the Design District, and the vibe they put out is always top-tier contemporary. You can count on them to feature brilliant Latin American artists, with a strong leaning toward sculpture and conceptual works. Think post-minimalism, where the art is all about form, texture, and the raw materials they use, it really makes you stop and think about what you're looking at. Their pieces often play with heavy contrasts, like polished steel next to rough stone, making the art feel both ancient and completely modern at the same time. Honestly, the biggest highlight wasn't even the stunning art, but the amazing opportunity to meet Piero Atchugarry himself. I was completely stoked to find him at the opening! Being able to chat with him in person, even just for a few minutes, and hear about his vision for the gallery and the visual concept behind the artists he selects was so clarifying. It's one thing to look at a sculpture; it's another to get the backstory directly from the person curating the whole dialogue. That personal insight made all the difference, helping me truly appreciate the dynamic and thoughtful curation of the entire exhibition. It made the art stick in a way that reading a placard never could. If you're serious about contemporary art, especially work that is pushing boundaries in material and form, Piero Atchugarry Gallery is a guaranteed art experience getaway! We tried to make the best out of it and yet we left feeling empty. it was very small there was a creepy sound throughout the exhibit and we were done with it within 30 minutes including a bathroom break. I wouldn't go again and I wouldn't recommend it.

She want to "help artists help themselves." According to their website "Oolite Arts seeks to be the bedrock of the visual arts in Miami. Formed over time, it is composed of residents, alumnae, curators and visitors, coming together to build a community around contemporary art - a fundamental part of our arts ecosystem." Today Oolite Arts provides artists with the free studio space, the chance to exhibit their work, and support. The building contains artists' studios, small exhibitions spaces, and the group's offices. You can take classes or attend events in the building. Oolite also operates out of a new location at 75 NW 72nd St where they will offer more than 200 art classes and launch a visual art program for teens. Oolite Arts recently sold one its two Lincoln Road buildings and there are plans to build and open a new building in Little River later in 2023. Little River is becoming an alternative location for artists priced out of nearby Wynwood. The new building will have two dozen studios for the group's residency program where artists can get free space for two years, an exhibition space, a theater for films and lectures or presentations, a studio, and offices. Any organization that supports and facilitates the arts is a worthwhile one to support. They help artists who might otherwise not be able to afford studio space to have a place to work and exhibit. It looks like they have some amazing plans in the works to help even more artists in the future. This is a fantastic organization. Stop by for inspiration and culture.

Romero Britto is a vivid pop artist and the founder of what he calls the Happy Art Movement. He…read morebelieves the purpose of art is to radiate happiness, fun, love, and hope while inspiring people. The New York Times has said Britto's art, "exudes warmth, optimism and love". Britto was born in poverty in Brazil in 1963. In 1983 he made his way to Europe where he was inspired by artists such as Henri Matisse and Pablo Picasso. In 1988 he moved to Miami where he still maintains a studio. Britto's earliest work was done on newspaper which was all he could afford and sold on the sidewalk. Inspired by the sunshine of Miami he began working in bright palates which attracted people to his work. He received his first major commission to design artwork for Absolut Vodka for a 1989 campaign that also had bottles that featured art by Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. Corporate partnerships and licensing deals followed. His designs have been used by companies like Disney, BMW, IBM, Apple Computers, Grand Marnier, Pepsi, and Royal Caribbean Cruises and his art has been featured on cruise ships, cars, Barbie dolls and pet collars His art has even made it to the World Cup, Superbowl. and Olympics. Britto art has been exhibited art galleries and museums in over 120 countries but his brightly colored artwork has become synonymous with Miami where you can find it everywhere from city vehicles, hospitals, parking meters, and lottery tickets. Britto Inc. generates 250 million dollars of sales annually. He has become the most collected and licensed artist in history. Britto works out of art gallery dubbed the Britto Palace in Wynwood. You have to win your way in for a tour through charities or Britto picks one person a week with a golden ticket to visit from anyone that spends $250 or more with him. Everyone however is free to visit and shop his flagship gallery on Lincoln Road which opened on 1993. inside the gallery is paintings and sculpture for many thousands of dollars but there is also much more affordable art on T-shirts, tea pots, socks, ties, bags, hats, mugs, keychains, and candles. Logistically speaking, it also has its own parking lot. I stopped by this past Sunday as part of the Progressive Art Brunch and beginning of Art Miami week. In addition to a variety of paintings on display - a lovely series that the artist featured a dog in her paintings - there was a working miniature train set in the gallery, which was interesting to see. The space is spacious, and the industrial aesthetics adds to creative vibes.

These unique sculptures pieces are from internationally recognized artists such as Fernando Botero, Jeff Koons, Yayoi Kusama, Richard Hudson, and Carlos Cruz. This is simply an amazing permanent exhibition added to Miami's very popular art galleries. The entrance fee is FREE. You will need to show Photo ID to the securuty card. The hours are from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm everyday except Sunday when it is open from 11:00 am-7:00 pm. No pets allowed. I didn't see any benches on our walk except for a couple of chairs at the entrance. Some of the walking path is small rocks but it was not difficult to walk over them.
