Over the years I've experienced a wide range of massage. Laura is very special. There are a couple of things that stand out about Laura's approach. I thoroughly enjoyed my energy medicine session with Laura and I immediately felt the effects both on and off the table! She creates a cozy and inviting space for you to relax, release, and heal, and her spirit guides are amazing, generous, and have your best intentions at heart. She helped clear energetic blocks in my throat, right hip, and left Achilles heel, and as she is also a massage therapist, her touch when holding my head and neck during parts of the session was both professional and very therapeutic. After the session, I was super relaxed (later that afternoon I took a 2 hour nap!) and in the following days I noticed a greater sense of freedom as I moved through my life. I really enjoyed my experience here. I was referred to Ritual Energywork by a friend. They swore that it would be worth it so I went for a massage. The area is very relaxing and welcoming. Laura is very relaxed and fun to interact with. Communicating with her felt very natural and unthreatening. I felt very much at ease with her and the space. I spend most of my work (and free time) staring at a multitude of screens and she made all of that tension melt away like butter. I hadn't asked for any energy work but had expressed interest in it, so she threw some in at the end. I'm glad she did because it was extremely relieving. I was in a very tranquil state for the rest of the day. I would definitely recommend this to anyone but especially to those who may be skeptical of energy work. Though the area very much fits the ambience, it isn't heavy-handed and Laura made a point to have a short conversation beforehand to understand what I was expecting from the session. Amazing. I've experienced some lousy massages through Groupon.. and I was pleasantly surprised when Laura provided the best massage I've had in years. It was like... her fingers perform a little dance on your body, haha.. very relaxing. She blends meditation with massage, and offers unique recommendations based on her findings, after the session. I went to see Laura 3 weeks ago as my arms were feeling numbness from an injury last summer. I like to wait to give a review, as I find that skilled body workers will transfer an intention and body/energy awareness that continues to work over time. This is what I am finding after this session with Laura. The energy flow she worked with is still present in my own awareness, and the numbness is subsiding, and I find when it appears I have a better sense of what movement will help release it. I am seriously impressed by the intuition of where the tight spots were; she even found some deeper that I had not anticipated. I can honestly say that my massage with Jessica was the best I have ever received. I had never had a massage that integrated mindfulness, and I felt much more present throughout the session because of it. I had never experienced energy work before, so it could be said that I have no basis of judgement in this instance, but I can tell you this: I was relaxed and at peace during my entire appointment with Laura. I actually found Laura through groupon. After visiting her website, I read about her specialties in massage, energy work, and meditation. Upon further research on her website I decided to book an appointment without Groupon. Why? Her personal kindness and knowledge in her craft are reflected on the pages of her website. I was ready to give her what I know she's worth. This is one of those reviews I've been putting off because Laura is so great and I've selfishly wanted to keep her all to myself. She's got calm vibes that would put anybody at ease. Our sessions are always mind blowing and eye opening for me. She's able to really get into the depths of me and help me discover new things about myself or bring light to things I've been thinking about recently.
