This photographer is part of a generational photography family. Her brand is very well established and her sittings and portraits are often imitated but never duplicated. This is why clothing designers all over the country send her clothes to have child portraits done in their designs. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. This woman is not a good photographer (though SHE loves her photographs and will tell you over and over again how wonderful she is) as she has no idea how to frame her subjects nor does she understand how to pose her subjects. Laura relies on tweaking the photos in Photoshop to make them look good, though she will charge you for that. In fact, she will charge you for EVERYTHING - and will charge too much! Laura does not have a good way to choose backdrops as there is a bait-and-switch game going on: you're told to choose from the backdrops of the photos on her website, but most of them are not there anymore or were taken on-location somewhere outside her studio. So, I didn't get any of the backdrops I originally asked for and then she took almost ALL of the photos in front of an ugly backdrop I didn't want while taking very few in front of the two I actually asked for. Laura will not allow customers to get the photos from her digitally so you MUST pay exorbitant amounts (that really make no sense for the product) if you want anything printed (which is the point of taking photos, right?!). She makes it seem as though everything she is doing is THE BEST, but Laura is a scam artist with a horrible eye and the need to rip people off. The best thing I can say about this experience was that, thankfully, the money I paid for the sitting fee (because there is a fee for EVERYTHING) went to the Boys & Girls Club and not to this charlatan! read more

I hate to read that someone wrote such a nasty review and honestly it doesn't sound truthful at all. Laura does a great job! I have never been disappointed and the office staff has always been nothing but professional. If you want timeless beautiful portraiture this is the place to go. There is no one else like her or her work and I hope that people aren't scared away by the unpleasantries of one person. read more
