I texted him multiple times (5x) to see when he can come by to fix the recessed lighting in the kitchen as they did 8 lights in the kitchen & 0 in the dinning room. Justin was awesome! My wife and I recently closed on a home a couple of months ago with an old fuse box and some funky outlets and switches that needed to be looked at. The service had to be completely changed and updated. Justin updated the service both inside and outside. He pulled the permit needed to do the work and him and his crew spent an entire Sunday updating our fuse box to a 200amp panel. He also came back another day to fix all the other outlets and switches that had issues. He was great to communicate with through email and text. Our house was built in 1888 and wired in 1926. The previous owners did their own update until we bought the house in 1980. The 1st & 2nd floors were rewired by previous owners to meet code. But they left a 60amp fuse panel and knob & tubing wiring in the cellar. I had 3 electricians look at the cellar to give me an estimate. 1st guy walked thru the cellar and said he would get back to me. The 2nd guy walked thru the cellar and said he would get back to me. Justin came over and spent about 45 minutes in my cellar measuring and inspecting the fuse panel and looking at the wiring. He told me that my wiring is a disaster (no smiling) and he would need to give me an estimate in a few days. Two days later he emailed me an estimate. The price was less than I expected and gave him the job. Before he started he told me he would pull the permit and we would walk the job to go over issues. There were common sense things that could not be in an estimate because of the age of the house and wiring. He showed up and got to work at 7AM on Sat/Sun of Memorial Day weekend. He did find issues that were unexpected but not shocking (no pun). He did an excellent job and explained everything simple enough for me to understand. I did not have an emergency, but hoped for a relatively quick response. Justin Laura Electric is amazing! We had a giant project (200 Amp upgrade with whole home surge protector, install three new outlets in unfinished basement and drop one outlet that was at eye level lower, install a switch so we could turn sconces off and on, and install two lights in rooms that previously were unlit by main lighting, one of which required rerouting a wall switch that went to nothing to the new light). Justin was very responsive during the quote process and charged much less than several other companies we reached out to. He and one other team member arrived promptly at 8 am the same week, and when he realized work was taking a little longer than expected he called a third person in to help him. When it got late into the evening, he offered to stay until it was finished if we would allow. We did and they worked tirelessly for 14 hours total and the results are INCREDIBLE. He and his team went above and beyond what we expected and they cleaned each area nicely. When it got late at night, he realized he didn't have the correct box for the last light switch installation and offered to come back a couple days later to finish up. And he didn't demand he be paid for the day like other companies would have (even saying he didn't want us to think he'd run off and not finish). I paid him for half the day anyway, plus gave an extra $500 because that's how good he and his team are and I wanted to compensate them for working additional hours (for which they didn't even request more pay). We will be using Justin Laura Electric from now on for any electric projects that come up, and I'll be recommending him to anyone who asks!
