There are a lot of positives I could list, but here are the ones that I appreciated the most: The location is in a clean safe and easily accessible building. The parking can sometimes be a little sparse so give yourself a few extra minutes. Her massage space is cozy and beautifully decorated. The music she plays is soothing and not distracting. Now for the massage. Her massage is a mixture of relaxing and therapeutic. She somehow always finds my right areas or spots where the muscles are tense and methodically works through those areas. But the massage is also very relaxing and soothing as well. A nice hybrid. You can book online through her website which is super convenient as well. I would give it 10 stars if I could. You won't be disappointed.

Through consistent deep tissue sessions, my body has completely changed. I now feel lighter, more mobile, and even started running regularly again. I've lost weight and overall feel much healthier and more energized. Michelle is licensed, highly skilled, and surprisingly strong. Her techniques are diverse and very effective. She has an intuitive, almost "magic touch" that allows her to find and release deep tension in a way that feels both powerful and therapeutic. Beyond the physical results, I truly believe her energy has had a positive influence on my overall well-being. Every session feels like a reset for both my body and mind. If you're dealing with chronic tension or stress, I can't recommend Michelle enough. This has been one of the best investments I've made in my health.

My first experience here was just okay. I was looking for a massage close to home and found this…read moreplace offering a great deal--90 minutes for $100. I booked a few days in advance through their website and included a note that I am currently 6 months pregnant and requested to lie on my side while my back was being worked on. Kate greeted me outside with a smile when I was trying to find the location. She was very kind and welcoming. There seemed to be a slight language barrier, so I explained that I was pregnant and wanted to lie on my side so my back could be massaged. When I wasn't sure she understood, I pointed to my belly, and she realized I was pregnant. I tried explaining again with gestures that my back was my main area of concern. She then asked if I had booked a 60-minute massage. I told her I had booked 90 minutes. She seemed surprised and repeated, "90 minutes?" I told her that if 90 minutes wasn't appropriate because I was pregnant, I was okay with changing it to 60 minutes. About 20 minutes into the massage, while she was working on my left arm, I noticed she was using only one hand and seemed distracted. Her phone kept buzzing near my head, and it felt like she may have been texting. A little later, she apologized and stepped out of the room to greet what sounded like a walk-in customer. I heard her say, "Can you wait 10 more minutes?" When she came back, she asked me, "Is 60 minutes okay?" I was confused because we had already discussed that earlier. It made me feel like my appointment was being shortened to accommodate the walk-in customer. I looked at the clock and noticed there were only about 15 minutes left, and my back hadn't been worked on at all. I assumed she was saving it for the end, but unfortunately, she never massaged my back. The one area I specifically requested--both in my online booking notes and in person--was completely skipped. Kate herself was very friendly and smiled every time she spoke with me. I also didn't want to put her in an uncomfortable position by asking again about my back after the walk-in customer had arrived. My biggest suggestion would be to take the time to read the notes customers leave when booking online and tailor the massage accordingly. Also, I don't think it's appropriate to have a phone buzzing or being used during a massage, especially so close to a client's head. Kate was genuinely kind, which is why I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. I hope they improve because treating every new customer with the same care as a regular customer is what brings people back.

I found Jennifer after having foot surgery and having difficulty with the non weight bearing…read morerecovery and all that that meant for long term recovery. I had no idea how much muscle, balance and strength would be lost during non weight bearing for 6 weeks. I had been to PT, a chiropractor as well as another non traditional chiropractor with limited relief. Then I found Jennifer. Not only was she able to help me walk with ease, but she adjusted my body and gave me more range of motion and ease of movement than I had enjoyed prior to surgery. I can't explain to you how KMI works, but I can tell you it has improved my life and quality of life. The two biggest changes for me were: 1) The ability to breathe! I know that sounds very weird, but I was a shallow breather unable to take in full breaths. I could not breathe into my belly or back but would instead raise my shoulders to make room for a deep breath. Jennifer did her magic and I was AMAZED when I could breathe deeply and expand my full rib cage (including belly and back). 2) Ease of movement. Even walking was difficult for me as my body was unbalanced and it just felt like effort to even walk. As Jennifer released my stuck fascia and enabled my body to move freely, I was amazed at how effortless it was to walk and move. The first time I went to touch my toes I couldn't believe how easy it was to bend forward and felt no resistance at all until my fingers hit my toes. I highly recommend the full 12 session of work! Your body will love you for it!! This is NOT traditional massage and the whole point of it is not relaxation and lavender scent, it is adjusting your body back to it's normal position and enabling it to function in the manner it was meant to. Thank you Jennifer for helping me live easier in this body!

As a medical professional and person with a physical disability (Rt Arm Amputation) who has had…read moreover 1000 massages in my lifetime, I can attest and without reservation recommend Bliss Massage Spa in Issaquah, WA as a reputable and well-established business. Massage therapy sessions, amongst the licensed practitioners, are clearly structured and consistence even though there may be slight variation as there always is because of individual style, unique strengths and weakness and the variating needs of the patients and/or clients. It is fair to say that for the last four years I have seen the same therapist, so consistence has never been an issue. Andy is the most amazing massage therapist I have seen. Even though English isn't Andy's first language, I have never had issues with communicating my needs to him. Upon leaving Bliss Massage Spa I feel so much better than when I walked in. Andy has gotten to know my body, my problem areas and knows how to help me work through these issues. He is professional and knowledgeable. I see Andy a minimum of once every three weeks for at least a 90 minute full body therapeutic table massage and would go into Bliss Massage Spa more often if my schedule allowed. The management is very helpful and when I call, I always get a "Hello Bobby" everytime. They always accommodate my hectic schedule and meet my requests. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality and service you get. Because of the lower cost of the services there is a suggested tip amount for excellent service. This suggested tip amount helps compensate the clinicians for the lower cost of services to you (similar to restaurant staff and their perceived or expected tip rates). This lower cost and suggested tipping amount is not uncommon among many foot and massage spas. These comments are my own and are to reflect on and address the disheartening negative comments I have read in this blog review. As a happy and satisfied customer at Bliss Massage Spa I hope you find my 5 STAR rating, positive review helpful and informative. Robert Inshetski, MS, CMD, CT(R)(CT)(RT)

I've had a therapist on their phone during a session, and once my scheduled therapist didn't show and the owner stepped in without any adjustment to the experience. That said, today's massage itself was actually great. Unfortunately, the experience at checkout completely changed my view of the business. I paid via Zelle and showed confirmation that the payment was processing, including the notification and account details. I also offered to follow up shortly to confirm once it cleared, as I needed to leave to pick up my daughter. Instead, I was repeatedly told to stay and wait. I was then followed outside, and the staff member actually got into my car to prevent me from leaving. I had to physically ask her to get out of my car. Shortly after, the payment went through as expected. I understand wanting to confirm payment, but this situation was handled in a way that felt extremely inappropriate and uncomfortable -- especially toward a long-time customer who was clearly trying to pay. It's disappointing because the massage itself was good, but the overall experience left me shaken and unsure I would feel comfortable returning.
