In short: If you have doubts about your career, relationships, or yourself, Emily works her magic…read moreto transform your perspective into a workable goals that empower you to action. Should you try it? Oh yes!! I'm on my second program with Emily because she's made such an impact! Ambience: Anytime I'm ever talking to Emily or in circle, I feel so supported. In sister circles, the mood is always positive, even when one of us is having a rough day. We express what's on our minds and ask for the type of feedback we want. In 1:1 calls with Emily, she directs the call based upon what's most heavy on your mind, and destroys blockages in your life, one by one, until you feel complete and questioning why you ever second-guessed yourself in the first place! Emily is truly magical. Service: If I ever had any doubts, questions or concerns, Emily was able to explain thoroughly and work through my objections one by one. She dedicates the time necessary to address what's going on in your life in a way that feels so natural. It's like talk therapy - only she is specially trained to help you take positive, motivated action that serves you in the best way possible. Location: Emily can work with you both near and far since she communicates with you via email, phone, and Google Hangouts. The ladies in my sister circle were spread out across the US, and I feel very close to them after our time together. 3 Key Tips: 1) Be sure you're ready to set aside time to complete weekly accountability assignments. They ultimately serve your personal goals and aren't difficult - but you've gotta commit to change if you want to see improvement. 2) Emily's group programs are amazing! You'll be supported by Emily and a few other women who can give you insights on your goals that wouldn't otherwise come to light! 3) (general life tip on this topic) Learn to meditate. It's the most incredible tool you can use to give your mind the clarity it deserves. Recommended Programs: Freedom is Sexy or any program incorporating both sister circles and 1:1 coaching!

As someone who never thought I'd be a "coaching person," my opinion has been completely changed by…read moreEmily. I feel so motivated, empowered, and entirely supported by Emily and the programs she has created. I have found most success with 1:1 coaching, though Emily also offers group circles that are fantastic as well. The environment that she creates for these circles is welcoming, non-judging, and very meditative. During my 1:1 coaching experience, I was shocked by how wise and understanding Emily is. When you're speaking with her during a coaching call, she has the power to distill your thousand-word rant into a short, direct paragraph that completely and 100% captures what you just said.....and then flips your perspective on how to deal with it. The biggest benefit to working with Emily is having someone listen to you and then offer words of wisdom for how to get where you want to go. Emily has a way of getting you to connect what's in your head and your heart, then guides you through the action steps you need to take. Of course, nothing changes if you don't commit to doing the work! The accountability support that's offered is fantastic. Emily also offers insight and advice based on her training and knowledge of goddesses, moon phases, and such (in a completely non-woo woo way). I always left a call with a clear idea of what I need to do to see amazing change in my life. I am beyond happy with my decision to change my life with Emily's wisdom and guidance.

There's just something about Masie. The way she talks to students, the way she grows new teachers,…read morethe way she sets up the space. It's not like any other yoga studio. The space: Absent are the mirrors at other studios that tempt you to look at your body and compare it to others; in their place is the warm wood of the beautiful old space, and the calming tree and drishti painted on the walls. Masie and her staff are the ones to correct your alignment with a word or gentle touch. That way you stay focused on the practice and don't get ripped away by the outside world. The space also has a bathroom and changing room, and they offer massage in house. It feels like coming to someone's home and having a communal experience with the instructor and the other students. The classes: All levels and some more challenging classes. Masie is always learning new elements and new practices. Her curiosity is infectious, but somehow she never makes you feel foolish or intimidated because you don't know something. Her instructors are obviously chosen for what new ideas they bring as well, or a capacity to receive new ideas. You can pick up some Tai chi and Yoga Nidra among many other things in the yoga and other classes. One of my favorite was a class called moon flow where she put together a variety of lunar poses and made certain "Yin" tweaks to postures (like looking down instead of up, which is yang). It was such a little change that made the practice seem new and fresh and slightly spiritual. The instructors: Masie is obviously the center of this universe. Her radiance draws you in and sustains you throughout classes. She is thoughtful without being stoic, loving without being insipid, and firm without being judgmental. The teachers that work for her obviously all feel it too, and everyone she hires seems to pick up at least part of what makes her such a great teacher. She completely changed my outlook on yoga because of her wholistic approach. The studio somehow manages to be genuinely inspiring instead of a collection of fitness models spouting a string of platitudes like so many other places. Some of her instructors are very experienced, and some are homegrown by Masie. All of them share this mindset of a whole mind-body-spirit practice that is never too much of any one good thing. I used to come here after work, and I too have arrived too late for class. I was disappointed but it's best for everyone - I needed those few minutes before beginning to unwind and get ready. There were times I've been so exhausted from the day that the practice would take me straight from the helter skelter into relaxed bliss. Don't skip coming to class. Leave early. Talk to the other students and the instructor. Be open and friendly before class. Learn about yoga and yourself. Did I mention there was amazing relaxing retreats to beautiful places like Hawaii and Arizona and North Carolina?

In regard to the owners post of my previous review, it is a complete and blatant lie. Why in the…read moreworld would I start cursing someone out over a yoga class? I appreciate the response a year and a half later. I just wish it were true.
