    Kitty love!

    If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I've used Laura's Critter Care several times and have been really impressed with them. When I come home from a trip. the cats are relaxed and happy - this is a key sign that they received good care and aren't stressed. I normally have the same sitter (shout out to Marilyn!) and she does a fantastic job of taking care of the cats and any messes they make. I love her daily visit logs with photos. It reassures me that they're being well cared for. One of my cats is a bit food-aggressive, but Marilyn manages this like the pro she is. Most importantly, it's clear in her messages to me that she really loves working with animals. Every sitter has been this way. Book them. They're great and super responsive. :)

    Laura's staff, Sheri & Kristin, are a wonderful team and gave our 4 cats excellent care while we were away for a week. We have two 17-year-old cats who have to be fed three times a day, and all the cats had various diets and needs. They handled it beautifully and sent me lovely pictures of them engaged in their daily routines. Laura's Critter Care came highly recommended to me, and I pass that on, adding my own esteem and appreciation for their compassionate work.

    I'm in a long-distance relationship and I usually go out of town once a month for a couple of days. Since I live alone, I'm thrilled to have LCC's sitters taking care of my cat and dog (or sometimes just my cat, on occasions when my dog comes on the trip with me). The website is easy to use for scheduling/requesting visits. And I love getting the text updates and photos after each visit. Carrie is my usual sitter, and I can tell by the photos that my shy cat loves seeing her. Carrie (and the other sitters) are also diligent about following all the care instructions, and quick to contact me if there are any questions or unexpected issues. I always have peace of mind that my pets are in the best care when I'm away.

    I am writing this review so other pet owners will be informed before making the decision to board…read moretheir animal at Dodge Boarding Kennels. I unfortunately did not read any reviews before taking my two beagles there. I want to start by saying the women who run Dodge were very nice and I am sure their intentions are in the right place. However, just because you love animals does not mean that you can care for them, which is the case for Dodge. When you go to the facility you can immediately see signs that the place is dirty and not well kept. The outside is bad, but the inside is worst. As soon as you walk through the doors you are hit over the head with the stench of dirty animals. The next thing that happens is you'll notice an overwhelming amount of small animals all being kept in a small space. I would say there were at least 10 cats as well as birds, lizards, gerbils, etc. all in this small dark space in cages stacked on top of each other. This is their only indoor space during the day where the dogs would also stay if they weren't outside. When you look to the other side of the room you see a row of kennels for the dogs, also all stacked on top of each other. I cannot stress enough how small, dark, and smelly this space is. I left my beagles there and felt sick to my stomach as I was driving away. I immediately turned around to get them because I couldn't bare the idea of them spending even one more minute there. I am tempted to notify a health inspector, as I doubt this place would pass an inspection. If the owners read this review: please shut down your facility for a short amount of time, hire cleaners, spend the money to create adequate room for all the animals, make sure the dogs and cats are separated, and hire additional staff to help you maintain the facility. I am deeply concerned for the animals currently in your care.

    we brought our standard golden doodle a week ago for grooming, nail clipping, etc... the standard…read morethings. The first issue was we had asked for a Teddy Bear cut, she did not give us the time of day from the start. She quickly rushed through and took our pup from us without asking questions or checking his coat. After I left I felt uneasy so i texted her and said we brushed him out before we brought him, however if he is too tangled please let us know and we will pick him up" - her response was "I already shaved him." We understand that it happens and dogs, especially with really loose curls are hard to comb out without causing the dog pain. However communication is the issue here, she should have called us and spoke to us to discuss the situation. Our pup is like our child, i'm sure all dog owners feel that way, you can't just make decisions without consulting us. We called to see if our pup was ready, the lady who answered told us "don't call anymore just text the groomer." We felt like all this place wanted to do was just get us in and out take our money, with NO COMMUNICATION or attention to our situation. You are a customer service place, if you wanted us to text the groomer, the groomer should have spent a few extra minutes explaining how this business runs when we came. After all that, I wasn't going to write a review. However yesterday I had to give my dog a bath - he doesn't love baths but he is not difficult or scared. He was absolutely TERRIFIED, he went to the back of the tub, shaking and crying. This has never happened before, and we get him groomed often at our normal groomers. When we picked him up they told us "he is such a good dog, so well behaved." But we are so concerned now with what goes on in the back after my dog reacted like that. To the business - your staff is seriously lacking in the communication department to the customer, as well as being empathetic. You're a customer facing business, that deals with our family pets. Before your groomers just run back with our dogs, you should have them spend 5/10 mins examining the dog, especially if they have a coat like our Goldendoodle. It is so upsetting to hear news through a text, or people tell you to not call anymore only text. We are leaving our pup in your hands for hours and hope that they are treated the same way we treat them at home.

She takes excellent care of all three of our pups. The staff is always happy and takes amazing care of our dogs and us for that matter.
