We have brought two dogs to Love Your Dog for training and have had nothing but great experiences! Most recently we brought our 10-month golden to basic training. Shannon and Sam did an awesome job running the program! They were extremely knowledgable, and classes were both fun and educational. I also really appreciated the friendly environment in the classroom; I never felt concerned about my dog's safety like I have at other programs. Obviously training is all about repetition and the work you put in at home, but Shannon's classes were a great way for me to gain some knowledge about my dog and her behaviors so that I can continue to work with her. This groomer advertises that they handle hard to groom parts with love. I called for an appointment because my usual groomer was unavailable. When I said my dog was turning 16, they refused to take her. I called them specifically because of their beautiful ad. I said she can be fidgety. When they refused to take her, I said she'd been groomed many times and has never bitten or been aggressive. They accused her of being "reactive" without ever meeting her. How mean! read more

I wanted to take a moment and write a review for Love Your Dog. I have taken my German Sheppard/Husky puppy (now dog) named Ciri to various doggy daycares to test them out. She hands down loves Love Your Dog the most! She's always so excited to go there. Plus, she comes home very tired from all her fun play which is helpful for me. The front desks girls (Joanna one of them ) are super nice and greet everyone and dogs by name which makes everyone feel like they belong. All the dog handlers are super nice, patient, and have great positive energy. They understand breed temperaments and each dog's personality and needs. Do not recommend! Waited for any type of greeting or acknowledgement for 20 minutes after walking in. The workers seemed overly concerned with their own drama and completely ignored the customer. There are Constant reports of malpractice and injury to animals which is unacceptable. The employees are careless and inattentive to client needs. read more

I brought my two dogs (14 and 17 lbs). I was surprised the charge was $70 a dog but I had never asked for a price. I did think that was steep. When I got home the nails were not even cut. Guess I was lucky because some reviews state bloody paws after they trimmed their dogs nails. I think I will not be back. read more

I did my research and thought I made the right choice in coming to Love Your Dog. This past weekend my puppy was boarding with Love Your Dog and had special instructions on feeding as he is fed lunch still everyday. Sadly, at pick up I noticed that they did not feed my dog his lunch each day and he went without. I have spoken with the manager and also the owner. The owners reaction was extremely poor and unprofessional. Janice (owner) did not seem to be phased whatsoever that my dog was not fed properly and in fact blamed the error on a new receptionist not properly looking at the paperwork when there is NO new receptionist. I have found out that other pups who had special feedings were fed as asked unlike mine who wasn't. Completely unacceptable. This is the THIRD time something has gone wrong with this place. I do NOT RECOMMEND LOVE YOUR DOG TO LEAVE YOUR DOG FOR OVERNIGHT STAYS. read more

My year-old pup Bridget completed an 8-week obedience training course at Love Your Dog. I had never pursued training for her when she was a young puppy, so I was hoping that a general obedience class would help with some small concerns I had (play biting was numero uno). We got through it despite her stubborn little Boston Terrier personality and aversion to sitting, and we (her humans) did learn some tips and tricks to preventing little behavioral snafus from time to time. I don't believe a group training class was the best fit for us, however. Be sure to consider your dog's needs before enrolling in a class. The class took place for 1-hour on Thursday evenings. There were 7 other big dogs in the class and 20-lb. Bridget. I believe she would have done better with one-on-one training at home (with her 2 dog siblings) than in a class with other dogs. Would have been helpful if the trainers had done some prodding ahead of time to figure out what the best setting and approach would be for Bridget, and her humans! We would have paid for individual training if that had been suggested as an alternative to the class. In retrospect I would have rather addressed certain behaviors at home than beating the sit/stay to death on nights where it just wasn't going to happen (pup isn't food driven and there was only so much force I was willing to apply to her hips to get her to sit). My family has always liked Love Your Dog. We used to bring our pug here to be groomed (RIP Otis!), and it's very convenient and close to home. Donna is an absolute sweetheart and worked with us a bit to find some possible solutions to getting Bridget to sit, even though Bridget stayed in charge. :) We met our goal of cutting back on the play biting. Baby girl hardly does this anymore since we the humans changed our reactions to her biting. I'm glad we participated in the training since we all certainly did get something out of it. Sometimes it's not the dog's issue, but rather the human's... I'm not sure who ultimately learned more- she or I? read more

Both of my dogs love day care! They get excited when we pull into the parking lot and are exhausted at the end of the day. The entire staff (starting with the wonderful receptionists) are excellent people and trusting them with my puppies is an easy decision. read more

Love your dog has all your pet needs. I wanted a place where my dog liked to go and was comfortable with the staff. He is only 9 months old he goes for day care, training and grooming . He was going to stay over night durning Easter break but, we all know why that didn't happen. The staff was even available for training help and grooming tips when they were closed for no charge . I need to update my previous review. The owner and management were completely unaware regarding issues that were happening on previous visit with the receptionist/scheduler. The promptly took action and I am completely 100% convinced that they had no idea what was happening and I am confident in that it was not the way the believe in doing business. I'm returning there with my dogs!!!! They care about their customers. Yes, you may pay a little more but this is one of example where you get what you pay for. They truly are the best groomers (and I have gone to many in the past) and even take extra care on grooming my one older pup with back issues. So happy to be back there. They broke my puppy's leg and are refusing to take responsibility. After being ignored I finally received a call. Janice Jabcuga (the owner) indicated she was waiting until Bella (our injured golden) was done with the vets - she wasn't ignoring me ... So, I thanked her and continued to pay for xrays, casts, orthopedic consults, etc. Then, I sent a chart with receipts - a little over $2,500 in expenses. She had the nerve to send a check for $771.32 - saying she did not feel responsible for all the expenses. Her employee stepped on our puppy's leg and broke it. How on earth does she tell me she wants to wait for all the bills / treatments and then settle up .. and then send 1/3 of our costs? Luckily the growth plate was not damaged and our Bella is healing fine .. As for "Love (not) Your Dog" I am now going to have to sue them. No Love! read more

Great instructions for puppies. Although we love the cottages for boarding our doggie, it needs to have more supervision. Our medium sized dog was in between the large breeds and the small breeds... and was subsequently put in with the large dogs and got hurt... This is a great place, but needs to have three groupings: small, medium and large.... Great place! read more

We went to Janice by way of referral from one of our friends. We in fact both took our puppies in on the same day & time for their training classes. I paid in full ahead of time for these classes. We were only able to take 2 classes out of 6 due to my schedule with work. When I asked to be reimbursed for only 3 of 6 classes, it was as if they could not remember who I was a few weeks later? I then called back to speak directly to Janice again when I had my receipt in my hand in front of me, she couldn't find my file, my receipt, my puppy's name...stated that I should call back in 2 weeks. When I called back in 2 weeks I had to leave a message. They returned my call stating they were not sure what I was talking about. I called again, Janice could not recall who I was, when we were in, who my puppy was-no record? Really? Poor customer service. Poor tracking of customers. I would have even been happy with a credit to purchase something in the future. No offer was made to this affect as they have zero short term memory and do not keep proper records. I would never recommend them to anyone. Even the classes we did attend had too many puppy's in one room= Chaos! read more

LOVE Love Your Dog!! My dog is very shy, and scared. They are so good with him. Both, when he's there one day a week (for the last 4+ years), and the Kennel service. We looked at a few different places for day care and for a three day period that we would need to board our dog somewhere. At first the staff was nice and kind to us and our dog. A few daycare sessions seemed to go well given our dog is anxious. We put our dog into their care on a Friday morning, hoping to pick her up Sunday morning. Friday went by with no word so on Saturday we thought to call and see how our dog was doing seeing as it was her first time away from home. Love Your Dog employees told us that we could call at any time to checkup on our dog. Nobody picked up the phone after calling Saturday morning and Saturday mid-afternoon. We still hadn't heard back from them after leaving a voicemail. Sunday comes around and we picked up our dog at 9am. She had not peed or pooped at that time yet, the dogs in the back were all barking/ whining seemingly not fed or gone outside to go to the bathroom yet after we were told they would be taken out of their crates to go to the bathroom in the morning. We brought our dog home and she immediately went to the bathroom multiple times and was starving. Even after all of this we still hadn't received a call returning our voicemail. It wasn't until 30 hours later on Monday that we received a return call from them and worse from there the person who called said our dog was doing great in daycare. We told them that we picked her up that morning. This shows that they didn't even know if they had our dog or not they were just going to say she was doing good either way. The person was surprised that we said we had our dog already and just laughed it off. We won't be coming back. read more

My 8 pound poodle was groomed today. When we arrived home (5 minutes after pick-up), I noticed little red marks all over my light colored floor and could not imagine the source. On further inspection, I noticed my poor little dog's back foot was bleeding from a nail which had been clipped down into the flesh. It took me an hour to stop the bleeding with ice packs and styptic pencil. I tried calling - no answer. At first, my thinking was that this was an accident. But, after looking up Love Your Dog on Yelp, this seems to be a pattern. I am most upset that I was not told that my dog was injured at pick-up. The poor little guy must have let out a 'yelp' when it happened and there was no missing the blood! You can be sure that I will be paying a personal visit to Love Your Dog in regard to this. read more

Love your Dog is a great place for daycare, boarding and training! Everyone there is very caring and loves what they do. They are honest in their training - it takes work! Their method of positive reinforcement is wonderful and humane. I board my dogs there several times a year and they have always contacted me with any concerns. In regards to the grooming service they provide, I am finally throwing in the towel! I have been taking my great pyrenese here for 2 years, when he first started going to Love Your Dog, Lisa the groomer took great care of him and he always looked great. Last year they had an incident where they accidentally ripped out his dew claw and he was bleeding all over. I tried to be very understanding, accidents happen, but they didn't even follow up with me to see how he was doing. I was still charged $240 and I had to pay for the emergency trip to the vets.( Lisa left Love Your Dog , I wish I knew where she was working so I could take my dog to her for grooming. ) I rescued a great pyr puppy last year and he was badly matted and need to be shaved down, so of course I took him to Love your dog hoping that everything would be great. 7 hours later and $220 was not great!! Just today I took my older great pyr in for grooming, 6 hours later and $240 and he was only half groomed! He looked ridiculous! I dropped him off at 9am, they called at 3 pm that he was done, I paid and he came out looking almost as bad as he went in. They said they ran out of time! I don't know who is running this business but they need to take a close look at what is going on, I definitely will not be returning with my dogs! read more

My dog would shake like crazy every time we started walking in to Love Your Dog. I should have listened to what he was trying to tell me. The final straw was when I went in to pick him up after grooming. The brought him out and his nail on his front paw was bleeding like crazy all over the floor and he was wimpering. They acted like they didn't see it, and when I pointed it out they acted like it was no big deal. No apologies, no comforting of my dog, nothing to stop the bleeding. The only thing they did was quickly wipe the blood off the floor when another customer walked in. I will NEVER go back there again. read more

It was, by far, the best grooming he has had in 2 years (and he's only 2 and a half years old). His fur is hard to work with - thin and dry-but Evan managed to make him look great. We really appreciate Erin because she listens to all our requests about Hunter's grooming and she really seems to enjoy him. I brought my now 4 year old dog here for puppy socialization classes and have boarded my dog here. I have since had training elsewhere and boarded elsewhere and would never go back to Love Your Dog. The puppy training consisted of Janice talking endlessly for an hour while trying to keep squirmy puppies still - some good information, but puppies need to move around. Boarding started out well for the first several visits. We were called mid vacation once that our dog "attacked" another dog outside and would have to be put in an individual room for the duration of his stay - we were charged extra, of course. When I tried to speak to someone about the incident, I was told he would have to have training or be kept in an individual room if we planned to board again. No thank you. The facility is very clean and the staff at the time were very nice to our dog, but I think our situation was handled badly and now I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more
