I tried to explain but she just kept making excuses and asked if I wanted her to take it back and melt some cheese on it. She just wasn't understanding. So let's break down what a patty melt is: a hamburger patty, with melted cheese, grilled onions (mushrooms are often an option as well) and typically sandwiched between Texas toast. What I received, since there was no bread and no cheese is what is called "hamburger steak" which they also had, listed under dinners. How do you offer both but don't know the difference between the 2. I'd hate to get the patty melt even more, the plate would come out with just a plain hamburger patty on it.‍
