The service here is outstanding! Welcomed by a friendly greeting as soon as we walked in the door. A number of regulars were finishing their breakfasts and interacting with one another and the staff as they paid and left. The breakfast options are fairly simple, but there are plenty to choose from. Went with the ham and eggs and the eggs were scrambled to perfection. Really liked that there was an option for biscuits and gravy or toast as I wanted to try them. The gravy had a slight sweetness to it that was unique but tasty. The quality of the food was fantastic. Coffee was good and my cup was kept filled thought the meal. Service was attentive but not overbearing. This is a cozy and homey little spot on Main Street in Woodward that was well worth the stop for breakfast this morning. I assume the locals know about its existence, but if you are driving through and need a breakfast stop, I highly recommend Polly Anna Cafe. read more

Stopped by Polly Anna Café for breakfast and it was absolutely worth it! The boomer burger was delicious, wish I had ordered it medium but waitress didnt ask and I didn't think to request it until the table next to us did. Was so excited foe the fries based on the reviews and pics. They were good but came out luke warm at best. Waitress brought food immediately so the cook obviously plated them too early as the burgers were fresh and hot. Service was great and they were busy for a late lunch rush about 1pm. There is a service charge, that wasn't much but wasn't on the menu or shared by waitress. I tip well (ex-waitress) but am annoyed by additional charges. read more

Old time diner. Row of single booths down the left side. A counter on the right. Very dirty - the counter stools were nasty and the floors around the stools were black. The bus station was filthy. Sticky squeeze bottles for ketchup and mustard. Can only imagine what the kitchen looked like They stop serving breakfast at 11. Best onion rings I have ever had but the worst burger. Don't go in expecting to find artisanal coffee and organic salads -- this is small town diner fare, and it's really good for what it is. The place looks as though it's not changed much since 1953. In June 2022, my family and I were passing through and stopped by Polly Anna. We sat for 20 min at a table and no one would serve us, no one would talk to us. It was awkward and made us feel like we weren't allowed there. Restaurant was about 20% full with three women working/chatting behind the counter. They all avoided eye contact with us. My husband is half black and I'm half Asian. Every other patron who was eating was white. All the employees who were ignoring us were white. I would definitely say that anyone not white is not welcome. It's taken me a few months to slowly process this and honestly, I'm disgusted with these employees. We ended up leaving, obviously, without a word. I'm disgusted that there are people like Polly Anna employees and I hope more people talk about their treatment of minorities. read more

Food was standard cafe fare. What was such to be hot was hot, what was supposed to be cold was cold. Either way, it was tasty. Slow service even when they didn't seem to be busy. We stood at the entrance for several minutes without a greeting although two waitresses were standing nearby. We were finally told to sit anywhere. A few minutes later the waitress came to the table without menus. She took our drink order and then showed up with one menu for the two of us. We hung in there and things improved. Based on the signage, this diner has been open since 1925, and it has all of the markings of a small-town diner. The booths are a little worn, the stools at the bartop could use some love, and there are plenty of old photographs and signage to remind you of its history. The person who recommended it to me said the food is "homestyle cooking." I think that was a fair statement. While none of the food was too gorgeous, it tasted as good as one would expect for their crazy cheap prices. If I make the trip to Woodward again, I'll probably check out another spot in town, but I'm glad I made the stop here. read more

If you were shooting a diner scene for a movie set in 1964, this is the place to do it. You wouldn't have to change a thing, just start filming. I went to this place as a boy and it still looks the same today (and might even have the same menus). They serve old fashioned diner fare - chicken/noodles, hamburger steak, fried chicken, etc and all the dinners are $4.95 or less! Mrs Eva and I had burgers, fries, and sodas - our bill was $12.40. We've always had good service, the place is reasonably clean, and it's pretty fast. Do not pass this chance for a time warp lunch/dinner. You will not be sorry. read more

Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, standard fair all tasted normal. Prices were good. Had lipstick on my coffee cup, apparently that had happened three times that morning. I had BBQ chicken with mashed potatoes and cream gravy, cabbage, and salad with their can't be beat homemade French dressing. I had the fried chicken and it's just like I made it at home! Lightly dusted with flour and oh so juicy!! Homemade mashed potatoes with cream gravy, hot steamy yeast rolls and a fresh green salad. Hubby had their roast beef that was tender and succulent with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and a fruit salad that was not your everyday bland style but with diced apples, celery, pecans and marshmallows with possibly mixed in some cool whip.
