They do not accept checks, and who is going to carry that amount of cash with them? This was a first here! Since when did the merchant transfer that charge to the customer? Bonney is here at your fingertips in a very quirky kind of way. This crass gift shop is located in old adobe structure with its original mud brick 18-inch walls. Just seeing from outside and walking into it will take you back in time. Lots of tall tales of the Kid are strewn within these walls in souvenir style. My fave items are Billy sitting on a bench and again a Wizard's Tell All booth! Don't expect fantastic, expect a quirky gift shop and just have fun. Extremely entertaining.

Mew and Company offers a print that you can use water color paint on. You select one of the three prints and follow a model painting if you wish. It is very relaxing and a really a unique and inexpensive experience for $7 a print. I always stop here when in town to do a painting and see what new fun things I just have (but do not need). There are usually 3 watercolor paintings to choose from with detailed directions on how to make a beautiful piece of art to take home - all for $7 and it includes a nice cup of tea. You can paint in the store, on the lovely patio, or in the cafe across from the shop. Customer service is always friendly and helpful. If you don't want to stay and paint, you can even choose the option to print a piece to paint at home for $3 if you have the supplies. So many options for creativity and shopping!

Understand emergencies happen, but the store should be posted "On Line" as being closed so customers don't waste gas and time. Helped fill some shelves that have been empty for years, and I'm so happy I found the perfect items for that spot. Also love the functional pieces like planters and sconces/hanging lights.
