I first met Steve and Ed when I was working at a Livermore winery and was in charge of booking live music. One day I saw they were playing at another local winery and stopped by to listen. They were excellent! I got in touch with them afterwards and was thrilled to book them every time I had the opportunity to. Guests and staff raved about them every time they played. We even had them play a few times during the pandemic, as they offered virtual gigs. They were still so great through a computer screen! Even though I left my job at the winery, I still try to see LFB whenever they're playing locally. When my sister got engaged this past summer, my initial reaction was to reach out to Lavender Fields Band for wedding music, since they are obviously so wonderful live, but I recalled that they also provide DJ services. They were a joy to work with throughout the wedding planning process. We especially appreciated how patient they were with us through it all. Steve and Ed so graciously offered to come out to our property way out in the Livermore hills, where the wedding was held, to get an idea of what they would be working with, a few weeks ahead of the event. We got to pick out every single song that was played, both live and via DJ, for every little shift throughout the day. They made this easy for us by providing a timeline worksheet we were able to make changes to up until the day of the wedding. Wedding guests had only good things to say about the live music and their timing of the music transitions was magical. It was truly an incredible day and wouldn't have been the same without Steve and Ed! I'll wrap this up by saying this duo is one-of-a-kind. The mix of genres they play has a little bit of something for everyone. Steve has a beautifully unique voice that works perfectly with Ed's guitar playing talents and gorgeous hair. It's hard not to enjoy being in the presence of these two when they're playing live. The vibe is consistently lovely and easygoing, but still fun and upbeat. Communication was great as we decided on which 3 songs to do, where to meet up, and timing.
