I want to give Lavish Garage Repair a 5 star review. I had an accident which required the replacement of two of the door panels on the bottom of one of my three garage doors. I got quotes from 3 garage door companies for the repair. The first two companies said my garage door (a Wayne Dalton) was discontinued so they could not get parts. So, they could only quote me for a new door, (@$3,000) which of course, would not match my two other doors. Lavi of Lavish garage door service (named after his grandmother) came to give me a quote. He told me he might be able to get the parts from Wayne Dalton as he had a special relationship with them. He contacted them and they fabricated the two door panels to perfectly match my door. The doors were shipped to their faculty in Orlando so he had to drive there to pick them up. He said that would not be an extra charge for the pickup. I was so pleased to get the repair done at considerably less cost with a repaired door that perfectly matched my current garage doors. After closing the garage door one evening, I heard a loud "pop"--I looked up and one of the springs had broken. I reached out to a few companies, and Lavi was able to come same day. He was at my place within 45 minutes. Once he arrived, Lavi assessed the damage and did a full inspection. He pointed out a few additional services that might be worth considering (like replacing the cables and wheels), but he wasn't pushy at all. He took his time, explained everything clearly, and answered all my questions. After we agreed on the scope of work, I signed the contract and he got started right away. My honest review after Lavish's garage door service. He said, he's providing the best service but after his service, my opener motor burnt out because the garage door was not balanced after he placed the new springs. I paid a lot for the new springs and his service but now after 2 months, my garage door motor is not working. When I try to lift the door, door is so heavy. It's like lifting 100 pound weight. Now I ordered a new opener that I spent more than $500 with installation. There were two more things that he asked me to spend the money. 1. Rail connector was broken and he asked me to replace the whole rail but I found the connector part only from Amazon with $8 - he said the rail is about $150 and service is about $160. 2. Rubber part at the bottom of the garage door - he said that the rubber is too old model and cannot find the old part from the market. So, need to replace the whole part including rubber housing and rubber. But I found the rubber only with less than $10. I'm an Engineer and know how to fix lots of things. But for the Garage door, I hired the expert because of safety issue. But the service I've got was terrible and now I have to spend lots of more money. Update: I had another technician came out from Low's and he told me that the springs are not the right size and he cannot install the new Garage door which cost another $500+ including installation because the springs will break the new garage door opener again. I called Lavish Garage Doors to see if they could come and give me an estimate on fixing my garage door. I spoke to Lavi, the owner, and he said he could come after another appointment. I thought only the cables on each side of the door had broken but upon his arrival he showed me that the spring had also broken. I had no idea what the cost would be for the spring replacement and the cables but Lavi was available to do the job and had the spring needed in his truck so he went to work. In less than an hour he had completed the job and even did an extra thing to help stabilize my garage door for the future. His price was reasonable and he gave a small discount for seniors.
