I sat on this review for a while, but every time I think about it, it annoys me. I went in for a hair halo appointment and purchased a halo. My appointment might not have happened when it came in so i offered to just pick it up versus putting it on in salon. The girl I messaged with was like oh no, it's your big day, come on in. Then they washed and styled it, with curling that literally fell out within me paying and getting into my car. The photo attached is me 10 minutes after leaving the chair. They charged me $150 for that... I was not expecting that, maybe $50 or so, even though I didn't ask for the styling and the way she worded it made it seem included. So I asked what the $150 was for and $65 was for "halo try on" - so it is not free just FYI if you decide to go there and do a complimentary halo fit. I've been going to this salon for about a year and a half, and this last visit was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I normally got weft extensions from Amanda, but this time I switched to keratin extensions. They acted nice and friendly this entire time but in the end I realized things weren't as honest as I expected. I felt completely gaslit, and now I'm left with bald spots. My hair is painful, damaged, and nothing like what I expected. I told them for weeks how uncomfortable and painful my head was, but my concerns were dismissed. They kept saying "looping" was normal and maybe sometimes it is, but not when it happens on every single piece on your head. I finally had the extensions removed by another licensed stylist, who confirmed the damage to my scalp. Now I have bald spots and have already spent hundreds more trying to repair the harm this salon caused. I asked for a refund for the hair and application, especially since I only had these extensions in for one month, but was told I had to return the hair and brush. The hair had already been thrown out because they were painful and unusable. I'm not sure why they would want me to return these items, unless it was for reuse, which is concerning to think about. Jordan is a very knowledgeable hair stylist. I came into her salon having issues with my existing hair extensions. The information that Jordan shared with me, was unlike any that I have known. It was obvious that she was very knowledgeable and had perfected her craft. She provided so much information regarding how care for them; from how I was washing and brushing my hair, to the type of conditioner I was using, to the way I wore them in a ponytail when I slept. After 10 minutes with her and the questions she asked, I knew she was a true expert on extensions. Each time I come in for my appointments, I learn new information on how to care for my hair.
