I met them where my pods were delivered to so I could unlock them. They unloaded them into their truck, delivered to me and unloaded into my house. He showed up in a pickup truck and I was confused because we hired him to tow the car to Lihue. My wife and 2 kids were there alone, so I was talking to the owner, Chason Manoi by phone. The car was disabled with a transmission problem. Chason was able to get the car into gear, but the dash screen showed a warning message that the transmission had a problem and not to drive it. Because of the dash warning, I insisted that Chason either tow the car or follow my family from that remote location to Lihue, since it was a transmission problem and could happen again. Chason promised that he would follow my family in the car, but then broke his promise and immediately left them alone, far from a town, in a car that was still broken. He stopped responding to texts and calls and kept the $1570. He never gave my family any receipt or paperwork, as required by the agreement I signed when I prepaid for the tow. The Hawaii Office of Consumer Protection sent them a demand letter, but Pa'A Hana Towing ignored that too. I don't usually leave reviews and have never left a negative review, but Pa'A Hana Towing was so dishonest in the way they treated us that I feel I have to... so that it doesn't happen to other people.

They failed to show up for an emergency recovery, refused to refund the excessive charge, lied repeatedly and engaged in what I believe is outright fraud. After our vehicle got stuck in a remote area, we were forced to prepay $2,617.80 for a quote that inexplicably jumped from the $2,000. (Which is still significantly higher than local laws are supposed to permit.) At 3:40, we were promised an ETA of 6:00 PM. They completely failed to show up, leaving us stranded in the dark for hours in a dangerous, remote location. Due to their no-show and safety concerns, we were forced to perform an extremely difficult self-recovery. We finally got free at 8:59 PM and immediately cancelled the service via text. The merchant never arrived at the recovery site. Thirty minutes AFTER I cancelled the contract, they sent a misleading photo taken miles away from our location, falsely claiming they were "here" to justify keeping the $2,617.80. This was a clear attempt to claim they performed a service that never happened. I filed a formal charge dispute with my credit card company, presenting the full timeline and evidence. They agreed with my claim of "Services Not Rendered" and issued a full refund. Avoid this company at all costs. They took advantage of an emergency situation, failed to provide service, and then tried to scam us out of a massive payment. The only way I got my money back was through a credit card dispute. They repeatedly lied along the way and fought the refund. I think that they never planned on showing up that night at all, getting to us from any point on the island shouldn't have taken more than 2 hours. I'm leaving this review everywhere to warn others.

I was also honored to have a dad/daughter duo, my five year old daughter's face lit up when she saw her!! She talked story with my kids and answered all their curious questions. I'm born and raised Kauaʻi and moved to O'ahu right after high school. The aloha I was shown this evening by All Kine Towing is the reason I moved home to raise my three keiki. Just the way everything was handled from start to finish was incredible. Super fast service, quality towing, and the aloha was truly there from talking with me about next steps to talking story with my keiki and all the questions they had! We didn't…read moreknow what we should have done with the recyclables so we were asked to come back again to sort our stuff out which I believe is right as we didn't know what we were doing and they advised us that we have to sort it out as the county and the state takes it really seriously and even handed us a handbook on recycling which we learned a lot from and they were really nice people. We went back with our sorted items and it was seamless, because we did our part and they just had to do theirs! If your item is wet, or not sorted out they have every right to turn you away FYI ya gurl did some reading lol. Waited for our items to be weighed and collected the refund for it! Which is awesome DIDNT know I could get gas money for the stuff I brought in. Thank you KCRS, for keeping the island and the landfills clean and also for giving back to the people and the community. Will definitely recommend anyone looking for a hi 5 redemption centre. Also just some heads up for anyone new 1. Make sure to separate all your recyclables, and make sure it's DRY!!! small bottles should be in its own bag or bag (0-17 fl oz) mixed bottles should be in its own bag too (0.68 fl oz). So if you actually separate the small from the bigs you can actually get more since it's at a $1.315 per lb instead of a $0.94 per lb, which is the state price. Aluminium should be on its own, and remember don't mix the bi metals with the aluminium or you gonna have to wait or go back in line to sort it out again. An example for bi metal would be the waikoko coconut water that can is actually made out of bi metal it can't be crushed as easily as aluminium! And your glass should be separated too! So every item should be separated in their own category. Trust me this will save a lot of time for you and them and you'll be out there in a breeeeeze! Oh I almost forget wine and liquor bottles won't be accepted as a hi-5 as it isn't applicable for redemption. Hope this helps!
