Galo is a great guide - you can definitely see how much of an OG he is, and the passion he has for the subject runs deeper than just technical and aesthetic, it's also historical, socially-aware and he's got lots of fun opinions just bubbling below the surface on this rapidly-changing world. The art is really amazing too - you get a sense of just how hard it is to do, and the fact that it's always changing is a reason to go again and again. And even if art isn't your thing, the history and perspective into this sub-culture is really interesting. Also 95% family-friendly, with the exception of a bare boob. Bring good shoes for walking, water, and sunglasses. Watch out for cars. Tour prices go down if you book larger groups. Well-worth the price, I'm planning to do it again.

He was cool, kind, and open to questions - just al all-around great person. Definitely take this tour if you are looking for fantastic information, cool art, and just an eye-opening look at some of the art in the Arts District. We also added-on a spray can workshop, which was also amazing. It was fun for our students to use some of the techniques Sergio had discussed in their own attempts at street art style. In addition to Sergio, ShanduOne showed up to help out with supplies and guidance. A+, Five Stars! If you're thinking of doing this street art tour, just do it!

My mom recently celebrated a big milestone birthday and I was in charge of organizing a surprise…read morecelebration for her. She and her girlfriends are all huge art appreciators and museum goers. I thought a "behind the scenes" art tour would be right up her alley. I consider myself pretty plugged in to the LA art scene - however, I was referred to a company that I had never heard of - ART MUSE LA. Art Muse Los Angeles is a community of art historians, artists and educators who offer small groups private art tours - in museums, galleries, artist studios and private collections - throughout the LA region. What a stroke of luck! I was put in touch with Clare Kunny, the owner and Director. She was incredibly charming, smart, and approachable on the phone. I told her I was looking for a curated art tour, something more than your typical museum docent tour. She emailed me with several fantastic, diverse ideas. I opted for a two-hour tour with a theme around women in the arts. Our guide, Susan Power, was incredibly knowledgeable. She highlighted contributions to American art of the LA-NYC gallerist Virginia Dwan at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Then we walked across the street to Spruth Magers gallery to tour the exhibition POWER displaying art made by African American women from the Civil War era to the present. Susan gave an in depth talk on both subjects in conjunction with her choosing select artworks that showed the strength of and vision of these women artists. My mother and her friends were blown away. She is still talking about it. If you're looking for something interesting, fun, and unique to do in LA - for a date night, for something to do for fun with friends, for a special occasion - I highly recommend checking out Art Muse LA. They are a gem in the rough. Thank you Art Muse LA for making my mother's birthday so incredibly memorable and special!

As I was about to post my review, I happened to read through Espree's comment and am shocked that…read morethis is not the first time they have done this. After having my tour be canceled again for the 2nd time at the last minute, I decided to contact this company myself. Only way is through email or online support chat. They were also not very useful. Told me first that the reason it was canceled was "unforeseen circumstances," which turned to "guide issues" and then the truth came out that it was all due to lack of participants. No where on their site does it list the tour will be canceled if 10 people do not show up. Why would it not be possible to have a tour with less then 10 people? It's not like it's an amazing race activity or an escape room which makes sense to have multiple people attend. Make sure to not book with this company. They truly do not take care of their customers. You will find yourself overly frustrated having to plan for your group to attend this tour and be disappointed more than once.

I have never posted a negative yelp review so that is how pissed I am. I booked the Best tours…read moreVenice Street Art Tour 3 times and they CANCELLED LAST MINUTE ALL THREE TIMES. The second time after they cancelled I explained I had a large group all set for that date so they said they would have their tour guide show up. We all arrive and no tour guide showed. Crazy. They assured me via email that wouldn't happen again and they promised the tour would go on if I booked again so I did (foolishly). I checked in multiple times in between as I had lost faith in them being reliable of course and every time they said it was still happening and then this morning yet again last minute I get an email it's canceled again! Awful company. Terrible customer service. They just want people in and out to make a quick buck. Their live chat doesn't know what's going on and they can't be reached by phone, it's all a machine. Plus they are rarely even on their live chat and seldom respond to emails. I am so upset by the lack of care for a customer. I will never hire them again and hope to save everyone else considering this company a disappointment. Spend your money elsewhere.

Review for " A Journey Through Time in Film Tour" in Downtown Los Angeles…read more You don't have to be a movie buff or an out-of-town visitor (I'm not a film person and I've lived in Downtown LA for 10+ years) to enjoy this fun tour through numerous historical landmarks in Downtown Los Angeles. Our tour guide, Jared, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the landmarks and neighborhood, and the current states of the spaces that we visited. The tour was very engaging and I loved the use of personal headsets and the big tablet he wore to show us clips of the films while we were standing right at the spot where the scene(s) were shot. Fun!
