Had to come and repost my review here on Yelp as well! We can't wait to work with the Lawn Artists Kevin and Matt! From the initial meeting to discuss our plans to the 3D rendering, the process was amazing. Matt and Kevin were so knowledgeable with Calvert County codes and regulations and offered a wonderful rendering to address the codes and safety! The price was fair and we plan on making them our go-to for our quoted project and many more projects! We love that they gave us a fair price upfront and didn't bargain with us once we said we could not do the project at that time. We asked several friends who each have successful landscape companies in different states and they confirmed the quote we received from Lawn Artist was very fair. We gave Kevin and Matt several inspiration pictures and the rendering we received more than met our expectations so much so that we are putting off saving for a needed kitchen renovation to save for this project instead. Kevin was very understanding and did not make us feel bad for not having the budget to do the project right away and even gave us a great option to do the project in stages fit into our budget! On May 10, 2023, I got to meet with what appeared to be a great company (Lawn Artists) that I discovered and reached out to after reading so many good Yelp reviews. I was interested in receiving a quote about adding hardscape to my property in Calvert County. Mr. Matt reported to my home within days displaying outstanding customer service and using an awesome drone to survey the property. However, after weeks of not hearing back from anyone, I reached out to the office and spoke with a Ms. Megan who apologized and quickly scheduled an online meeting between me and a Mr. Kevin. Mr. Kevin presented a very lovely design, however; unfortunately it was not what my wife and I were looking for. I used this meeting as an opportunity to help him gain better insight into what would work for us on this property. Mr. Kevin indicated that he would create a new design and get back with me shortly. Well, a month later today (7/13/2023), I spoke with Ms. Megan again and asked this time if I could speak with Mr. Matt. She asked what was this all about and I shared that I would prefer to speak directly with Mr. Matt. I then received a call on the same day from a man who indicated that he was Mr. Matt, however; his voice sounded more like the designer, Mr. Kevin. He quickly asked what I needed and because it sounded nothing like Mr. Matt, I decided to ask if he remembered meeting with me at my home. He replied yes, but kept jumping to the question of what I needed. I then asked if he wouldn't mind repeating what he shared with me about the process of completing a project at my home if I contracted with his business. The person on the phone immediately became highly disrespectful with profanity and hung up when I mentioned that I would be writing a Yelp review because of such disrespect. Shortly after he hung up, the phone rang again and the person (I really don't believe it was the professional guy, Mr. Matt) stated "I knew you were calling to complain about something...you are a "F***king A**hole...and hung up again. He actually shared that Mr. Matt was on our initial design call even though it was never revealed to me then. I hope no one else ever experiences this type of disrespect from a company like this. Whatever happened to the delivery of good customer service? Because I am a Christ Follower, I definitely didn't return the disrespect, but certainly wanted him to know that I would enlighten others about his unprofessional communication. The God I serve will address whoever the verbally abusive person was in this company. It's ashamed since I really thought doing business with this company would have yielded great results. read more

We had a large hardscaping project to demo and rebuild retaining walls, patio areas including stairs and deck. Lawn Artists came through with a great design and executed it well at a fair price. The work exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have been happier with the final results. read more

Kevin and his crew did a fantastic job - smooth process from the estimate, contract, permits then the meticulous work including reseeding the disturbed grass area - all finished in less than a month! They do great work. My husband and I enjoyed working with them. Matt and his team did everything we asked of them and more. Lawn Artists everything I could want in my lawn and Hardscape Adventures. I just happened to get their phone number off of one of their vehicles and set up a free consultation with them. They came took measurements photos and aerial drone photos. Then through video conferencing we worked all the details and my concerns out on an interactive 3D model scale. It was like I was right there doing the design. The crew was fast, efficient, and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. Many compliments from Neighbors around the block. Also they came in lower on price by the time we were done then you're bigger companies that I have visited. Also they periodically check their jobs when they are in the neighborhood and immediately set up to correct anything they notice more I notice needs Revisited. Thank you very much.
