This PA Turnpike rest stop is small compared to NJ. It is similar to the other PA Turnpike rest stop where There is one main road in/out so it's not easy to park or just sit in the corner and rest/wait for a bit. We've stopped at the "service plaza" several times since it was built about 7 years ago. The bathrooms, for the most part, are kept very clean. Although, this last trip, we stopped in here on a weekday and they looked like they needed some attention. Still, we've seen many that were far worse in our travels. For food, the options are decent. There is a Burger King, a Starbucks, Keystone Roadside BBQ and Hershey's Ice Cream. The only place we've tried is the Starbucks and always found it to be decent. Also, there is a place to buy snacks and soft drinks. We often pick up some soda there as well as a snack. The employees have been friendly and efficient. Last year, we were on the PA Turnpike when a tornado warning came over our phone. This service plaza was nearby so we stopped in and waited out the warning. At times like that, we were glad that the Lawn Service Plaza exists! read more

I stopped here on my recent road trip from Valley Forge, PA to Columbus, OH. This was my first stop on this trip. Perhaps due to our current COVID restrictions not all eateries were open here including Starbucks, but I was very glad Burger King was open, and I got some critically needed coffee for the road--I left very early and unfortunately could not get my coffee before I got on the road (at least that was my plan before I went to bed on the previous night). Pennsylvania Turnpike (toll road) has these fairly decent service plazas with restaurants and gas stations strategically placed from one end of the state to the other. I normally don't pump gas on these plazas unless my gas is critically low since they are considerably more expensive. However, I find myself making frequent stops as I get older these days. These service plazas are very convenient. Perhaps due to COVID restrictions, none of the plazas I stopped at on this day were crowded. Though they are showing some signs of wear and tear, restrooms are fairly clean and facilities are well-maintained. Over the years, food vendors got changed, but it seems there's Starbucks on each rest area. It just happened that it wasn't operating at this location. Thank you Pennsylvania for making my road trips more convenient and pleasant for maintaining these facilities (although I pay good money to travel on your roads, ha)! read more

As far as turnpike service plazas go, the newly renovated Lawn Service Plaza is good one. It has ample parking and best of all, the restrooms are clean and free of foul smelling odors. Also, interestingly enough, besides a Hersey's and a Starbuck's they have a Keystone Roadside BBQ which is a rather small Central Pennsylvania chain specializing in what the term South-Style Barbecue. I think rather odd in that Pennsylvania isn't a state known for barbecue. Matter of fact the locals in this area still don't seem to know the difference between barbecuing and grilling. And though the folks at Keystone seem to have started somewhere in the Carolinas, their style seem like the typical Carolina. I was lucky enough to have some of their Q and found it to be rather good. read more

This is a nice service plaza on the PA Turnpike. We stopped for the usual - gas, snacks and a bathroom break, and to stretch our legs. The bathrooms were being cleaned when we were there and everything else seemed just fine. No complaints here. read more

Overall a spacious, bright, very clean and comfortable service area/ rest stop. Big bathrooms that are well kept. Outdoor seating for nicer days, good variety of options for refreshments. Unfortunately the quality of those options will vary. We made the wrong choice: Burger King. We had the most God-awful cheeseburgers. My husband said it was the worst burger he ever ate in his entire life and he's been around for seven decades. Be warned and take a pass on BK, whatever you do. read more

Lawn Service Plaza won the award for the most originally named service plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. That being said, it has been modernized and sanitized as most of the plazas have in the past few years. Still get a kick out of the hyper modern restrooms with the no flush handle urinals, and the tornado in a box hand dryers. You don't need to touch anything but your zipper in one of these places. The respite offerings are universal, but an improvement over what was available in the old way stations that had not been updated since the Pony Express. read more

The Lawn Service Plaza is pretty great for a rest stop. It's one of the newly renovated rest stops on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and includes a Starbucks, Burger King, and convenience store. The parking for the rest stop is ample and generally easy to maneuver. They do a great job with keeping the restrooms clean and as they've built it to have tons of stalls, there is rarely (if ever) a wait for the restroom. I usually get something from Starbucks when I stop here. It seems to have most of the features of a regular Starbucks, but maybe a smaller selection of baked goods and lunch foods. I have also been impressed that the service is friendly, the drinks are made properly, and they are ready in a timely manner. Overall, the Lawn Plaza is clean and pleasant -- perfect place for a quick stop when you're on the road. read more

Lawn Service Plaza fits the definition of average turnpike stop. It is always between here and there, AKA, Lancaster/Reading and Harrisburg. As a result, it is a service plaza I typically stop at on my turnpike trips. Most of these plazas are the same. Some, though, are cleaner than others. Others have friendlier service. This particular plaza is really clean. But the customer service is lacking. Some of the employees are a little less than friendly. But that's fine. This is the difference between a 4 or 5 star service plaza, and a 3 star. But, on this night, it got me a urinal and a Starbucks coffee. Good enough. Now onto the homestretch. As I said, this plaza has a Starbuck's. It also is home to a Burger King, a small convenience store, and a few other counter services. Maybe a place to get gyros and maybe some ice cream. I really didn't pay close attention to those spots. Was in a rush. read more

Just plain ugly. Imagine a large barn, with food and crap stands all around in the inside. The outdoor is basically a parking no trees or anything inviting. The gas station is there and it's self service, so you can spend a while there and never see anybody working there. It's a shame that the only food available is bad. I know I'm not the typical guy. I like nice things, but come on! Are the architects deprived of humanity? What happen to feeding our souls? And where does the products come from to be so expensive? Mars? It's sad to know how much they spend building a rest stop that could be called "stop if you must" read more

Terrible service here. The short woman working the counter is extremely bubbly, but I did not have a good experience the last time I was here. Miss bubbly went on break and the manager took over. I specifically requested no mayo on my sandwich. This was not on the receipt... I asked him if he got the "no mayo" part, since it wasn't indicated on my receipt. He nodded yes. 20 minutes later, my burger arrived.... Obviously with mayo. I went back into the rest stop and waited another 5 minutes so they could re-make my burger. Check out my picture of all the sandwiches being made, but not being bagged and distributed. My first sandwich-- the one that was wrong-- sat there for a good ten minutes under the "hot lights" before I received it. The manager--Zach?-- just kept taking orders. Being short-staffed is understandable but being rude is another thing. I wish there were more BKs along I76 because I probably won't go to this one again. read more

Clean restrooms that you can practically camp in. Need I say more?! O.K., I will. The Starbucks line will be long, but we spoil our kids while on vacation, so we bear it. This Starbucks even has a small variety of baked goods, which is not bad when you compare it to the Starbucks in my hometown of Waynesville, NC, which has three cookies and two cake pops. You can also view a map of the area while waiting on urinating males. You can pick up a brochure on an upcoming mushroom festival and crack up at the photo of the giant, plush, mushroom mascot. As I am leaving, I look down in the parking lot to find money and avoid human secretions. I also look for the guy who had to back up into his parking space because he matters more than full bladders waiting for release. Need I say more? read more

It's a service plaza on the PA state tollway. The gas pumps all had gas, and the convenience store had the usual goodies.

Stopped here for food, went to Burger King because options are limited. Customer service is great. But they can't put a simple order together. They forgot my fries and for the price they charge, I wouldn't go back. read more
