This is America; you sell a part, it breaks or is defective, its the business's job to send it back to their supplier. The counter person said "they have been doing this for a long time and have NEVER seen a defective part. I call hogwash on that. I am a retired Navy mechanic that has worked on everything from small engines & diesels to multi-million dollar jet powered support equipment and I HAVE seen my share of defective parts. Oh- they did offer to "look at my mower" but that's just a way for them to make more money off of you and try to find more wrong with your equipment and blame the operator or equipment for failure. Go to Pauli's Lawn Equipment; much better service and Danny not only works the counter, he works on equipment. Crank was straight so didn't bring back so you guys to tell me same and charge me for something else. The fact you wouldn't stand behind your product speaks volumes.... Thanks for at least the friendly counter service before I purchased the bunk part, that's why I at least gave two stars.

I brought my sputtering mower in, and was so surprised that Bo and team submitted the work as warranty as all was approved so no out of pocket expense! But beyond, when I picked up the unit..I had to ask Bo if they brought the right unit out to me..it was cleaned and tuned up to the point of looking and working as if I had a brand new machine! I come from the school of Lean Mfg. and just walking into their shop was pleasant--everything neat, labeled, organized, clean! I was so surprised that Bo wasn't out to charge outrageous money for and in fact suggested that he would try for Warranty approval first. ( I had taken this unit to a shop in Uptown, paid $90 in service fees, Owner had trouble even finding my unit, then told me he spray cleaned the carburetor, worked ok for 1 mowing ). My Mom can easily afford a new oven, but she likes this one. I called Ideal and the man said he had it in stock for much less than anything else even close that I'd found. I took the part with me to confirm its exact match. It was and now Mom has her oven working like new for $35. No knowledge of car type stuff, easy target to try to rip off. I had a hole filled in a tire at a different tire place, and they told me I needed new tires, bad..... I wasn't about to pay up $500 right there for new tires (what they obviously were trying to trick me into doing). I buy my tires used and cheap! So today I finally made my way over to this place, all the way out in Marrero, but well worth it! When I got there, the guy working there told me straight out that I don't need new tires and they still have a good 4 months left on them. He also repaired the last repair job for me, because where they patched it was leaking air. He also discovered another slow leaking hole and patched it too. All of this for $7!!! The original patch that started leaking only a month later cost me almost $30!!! I really appreciated their honesty, because they could have easily sold me new tires today. I am a TP customer for life now. Now I need to go write a 1 star review for the Tire Kingdom!

Called Mike on Thursday to see if he could save my ancient (parts-discontinued) wall oven (50+…read moreyears) that was having trouble getting up to the correct temperature after I had replaced the dry rotted gaskets that fell off by piecing together similar ones since they no longer sell ones for my model. I could see that the door wasn't closing all the way but didn't know what to do. I need to squeeze a couple more years out of it since they don't make them narrow enough to fit in that wall anymore! Mike came out the same day (in torrential flooding rain,) said I actually did a great job with the gaskets and he was able to adjust the door hinges so that it closes properly now. I was able to make bread at 450 degrees that night with no problem, when it could barely reach 350 before he came. Someone else on here complained about having to pay a service call for something that took only a few minutes. Well, I was thrilled to do it because I appreciated his honesty and expertise which saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. And making a trip to someone's house for free doesn't put food on his table. He gave me a $10 discount since he wasn't there long. Very grateful! I'll definitely call Mike again if I need any other appliance repair. Thanks so much!
