She very coldly responded to my email, saying "we will not spend a billable hour discussing the details of a case we know we will not be retained on." I never said she would not be paid if I accepted the offer of representation she sent me. She assumed that and showed absolutely no sympathy or decency, heavily implying I was not worth her time if I couldn't pay. As a survivor of domestic violence, which I explained to her because it's related to my case, I thought a woman would at least be kind. I am extremely disappointed.
