7 days for a call back to reschedule an apt. I was told "we don't have anymore appointments for the month when I was 36 weeks pregnant and needed weekly appointments... It's taken them over 3 business days to send a clearance for an antibiotic for an infection in my tooth. No one answers the nursing line, and they don't call you back for days. The doctors are great, everything else is not good. If you need to make or change an apt. I would recommend driving to the office. read more

I switched from another practice to this one a few years ago because the other practice was grossly incompetent. At my first well woman visit at this practice, the midwife caught that my thyroid felt enlarged, and sent me for blood work and an ultrasound. It turned out I'm hypothyroid, and thanks to the early detection, I was able to get on medication quickly. I've also been with this practice through two pregnancies. The first was low risk until I sadly went into preterm labor and delivered my daughter at 22 weeks. The second was high risk and involved many, many appointments, both with the OBs and with the MFM at the hospital. I've gotten to know all of the OBs who deliver babies at this practice (there are 8) and they all are fantastic. Dr. Balwani delivered my daughter, and while I didn't get a chance to see her in my pregnancy with my son, she saw me in the hospital after delivery. It was good to connect with her again in a situation that had a better ending than the first time. Dr. Grant held my hand through scary carrier screening results in my first pregnancy, and admitted me to the hospital in at 23 weeks my second pregnancy because she believed my concerns and took me seriously. Luckily, baby and I were fine. Then, she wrote a strongly worded letter to the insurance company when they tried to deny payment for my hospital stay. The insurance company paid up after that. Dr. Leedom was so kind and reassuring at all my appointments. In fact, I saw her for a concern I had in between the loss of my daughter and conceiving my son, and I was impressed with her bedside manner. She takes the time to answer all your questions and never rushes you. She explains everything thoroughly. Even though the answers aren't always what I want to hear, I appreciated her taking the time to explain things. Dr. Loeb happened to be on call the weekend I presented at the hospital, when it turned out I was in labor with my son. I was almost 35 weeks. I'd been iffy on him in my first pregnancy, so I hadn't seen him in my second. BUT, I have egg on my face now. Dr. Loeb ended up performing an emergency c-section when it became clear that my baby was in distress. I had minimal complications with recovery thanks to his skill. I and my husband thanked him multiple times for saving our baby, but Dr. Loeb is very humble and almost seemed embarrassed by our praise. If you end up needing a c-section, you want Dr. Loeb to do the surgery. Dr. Miranda is wonderful. She is incredibly personable and, like Dr. Leedom, takes her time and doesn't rush. I often ended up seeing her at the Bordentown office when I needed a last-minute appointment, as Lawrence is incredibly busy and rarely had same-day openings. I actually liked the Bordentown office a lot because it was so quiet! Dr. Przybylko performed my cervical cerclage surgery at 22 weeks in my second pregnancy. The cerclage held until I went into labor at almost 35 weeks (for reasons unrelated to the cerclage). I'm thankful for her skill which helped prolong my pregnancy, because without it, I'm convinced I would have lost my second pregnancy in the same manner as I lost my first. Dr. Stanell is utterly fantastic. He was the doctor who discharged me after my daughter was born. He ordered a lot of tests for me to help rule out causes for my loss. And, he ordered other tests in my second pregnancy and assured me that I wouldn't have to go past 39 weeks given my history. In fact, I had a scheduled induction with him, but I didn't make it that far! Dr. Tashjian is so kind and also wonderful. She believed me and my concerns and was so empathetic when I cried in the exam room. She made it possible for me to be seen at the MFM's office a day before my scheduled appointment. I ended up having my cerclage surgery done the next day. I know on certain corners of the internet, OBs get a bad rap and people prefer midwives. They think OBs are dismissive and uncaring and push c-sections because it's "more convenient" for them, but I don't think that's true at all. There are inevitable personality clashes, but at the end of the day, the OBs at this practice care about a healthy mom and a healthy baby. I plan on staying here for my well woman visits, and if I was to have another pregnancy, I would totally trust them with my care. read more

I'm surprised at the negative reviews, I've had both of my children delivered by this practice and I highly recommend it, Dr. Loeb delivered my first and Dr. Tashjian delivered my second/last. Dr Tashjian; words can't describe how much I like her to the point if she ever left this practice and joined one 2 hours away I would follow her. She's the most personable OB/GYN I've ever met. She listens to me, cares about me, she's performed my hysterectomy and my other endometriosis surgery. She's a great doctor and a great surgeon. If your looking for an OBGYN Dr. Tashjian is fantastic! I've seen many others in this practice and I agree with others On here Dr. Stanell is great, I recommend him As well! I only saw the midwives once or twice but they were very nice and informed. The sonographer in office is very good. Definitely recommend! read more

As a nurse I do not recommend this practice. Reading other reviews and knowing my personal experiences it's obvious they are unconcerned with patient care and communication. I had an abnormal test result and the office didn't inform me until 8 MONTHS later. They had sent me a message through their Athena Portal which, is a communication network. At the time I was unaware of this network so, obviously I never created a login to receive alerts. Thankfully, my next results came back normal. read more

They have 4 people working the phones/front desk, but I almost always had trouble getting somebody on the phone to make appointments. I would often get hung up on when I tried to make an appointment after being on hold. They ordered the wrong test and blamed me for the mistake. They billed my insurance for a different wrong test, which I found out when my insurance company refused to pay the bill. One midwife said I was over 50% effaced, the next midwife said I was 0% effaced and it was unlikely I was 50% effaced the previous week. The midwives pressured me to schedule an induction on a date to optimize their schedule (they are over scheduled/understaffed on weekends). When I ended up needing a csection on the weekend anyway, the Lawrence Obgyn who sat on my hospital bed and promised me he would be there to do my csection was unavailable, so a random hospital doctor did it. When I needed a follow up appointment about my incision, none of the doctors were available to see me, even though my local health clinic said it was critical for my Obgyn to examine me that day. I camped out in their office for two hours begging for somebody, anybody in the office to see me for 5 minutes. (Sorry front desk receptionists, "going to the hospital since we are busy" is not easy for a mom recovering from a csection who also needs to look after a newborn baby.) Eventually a doctor was able to see me, and he recommended I return the next week for a follow up appointment. When I tried to schedule that follow up, there was again nobody available to see me over a five day period. I gave up. Found a new Obgyn who graduated with honors from Harvard Medical School. She was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Scheduling a follow up appointment was also a breeze. She and her staff have been so friendly and polite. I felt like I was going crazy/maybe all medical offices were like Lawrence Obgyn, but that's not the case. read more

Do not go here!!! I would give this office negative stars if it were an option!!!! If you're looking for a good office for your pregnancy this is not the place!!! The one mid-wife Kitan is the worst, very ignorant and unsupported of anything, no good bed side manner AT ALL. The staff at the desk are ok, except when you actually need something... then they are all lost and keep you on hold forever until they give you an answer, also they like to hang up the phone when they don't know the answer. You never get a person no matter what time of day you call, it's always a answering machine, then they don't call you back for hours sometimes not even til the next day!! God forbid you have a serious question, might as well just got to the hospital. My 1st pregnancy experience has been horrible because of them!!! I have no idea what's going on because they always rush threw EVERY appointment! UPDATE**** IF you do use this place I would suggest the Doctors and not the midwives. read more

I have yet to experience any of the negative comments below and I have been coming here for 19 weeks so far! Every appointment was timely and friendly. I have met a few midwives and then switched over to meeting with doctors. Each person is super friendly and pleasant. Really lovely people! The ladies behind the desk are also kind and really try to find times that work with your schedule. The person who draws blood at this office is an expert. I am used to being poked around and being told I have hard-to-find veins. This lady does it with no problems each time, and I've had her draw vials and vials of blood from me (older first time mom-to-be). The best was being able to find out the gender of my baby at 13 weeks through a blood test- so high tech! I have an expectant coworker who is eager to find out the gender of hers, and she is much further along than 13 weeks, but her practice can't tell her yet. The appointments are easy to confirm and their portal is very handy. After your appointments, you get notes and test results that you can look through. The only person that was less than pleasant was the ultrasound lady. However, all the other people are wonderful. I would definitely recommend Lawrence OBGYN to my friends. read more

I tried to make an appointment online, because they have it available online and then got an email saying call us to schedule an appointment. When I called and said I was at work and just wanted to make a quick appointment, the woman was incredibly rude. She said speak up, I spoke up (again, cuz I was at work) and then she accused me of yelling at her. She told me to speak slower, so I did, then she accused me of being rude. I hung up. I called back and was in a que to make an appointment. Then I spoke with Jen. She said I should go to Delaware Valley Obgyn. She was also rude and said they couldn't help me. Cool, I'll go where I'm not spoken to like a child. I am completely deterred by the office staff, which can be a common issue in doctor's offices, and won't even bother trying to see their doctors. read more

I went for my very first prenatal visit today and was super nervous. After reading several reviews I was expecting the worst but I was pleasantly surprised. I was treated very nicely by all of the staff. Mrs.Shinn went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and explained everything before she did anything. I asked her questions and she never made me feel like they were dumb questions or that I was silly for asking but instead reassured me of any concerns. I felt completely at ease with her and look forward to my next visit! read more

I was once where you are, reading reviews and trying to pick a new Ob/Gyn office. I ignored the bad reviews and focused on the good ones. Please learn from my mistake. Save your sanity and don't waste your time going to this office. It's near impossible to get someone on the phone, and if you do, they are rude and disrespectful. The person I spoke to interrupted me frequently and just sent me to a voicemail in the middle of me trying to explain that I needed to talk to someone about a referral for a specialist. To give you some background knowledge, this is my first pregnancy and they just found an abnormality, so I need further testing to be done in a timely manner. Instead of helping me through this difficult and overwhelming process, they have made it harder, and very very stressful for me. This office has done absolutely nothing to show me that my health and my baby's health are of any importance. Do not go here! read more

Let me sum up my review in 1 sentence: YOU'LL GET BETTER CARE AT THE ER THAN AT LAWRENCE OBGYN. So far I've been very disappointed with the midwives here. From the start of my pregnancy, the scheduled my first visit with a midwife, not a doctor but I thought I was seeing one of the doctors. At the end of the appointment she said "would you like to see the midwives or the doctors, you have the choice since you don't seem to be high risk at this point." I figured I would go with the midwives since they had good availability but wow that was a mistake. Basically, the first half of your pregnancy they just doppler your belly and make sure baby is okay. If you express any concerns or issues during your appointment, you will not be prescribed anything, your concerns will be dismissed as "normal pregnancy symptoms." At 12 weeks I was having reflux so bad that I needed to be put on a prescription (I have a pre-existing stomach condition) but guess what? They made me go see my gastroenterologist who had to CALL them to confirm it was okay to put me on prevacid. You know why? Because when you become pregnant, your OB becomes your primary and even all other specialists will check with them first. How do I know this? My sister is a doctor. She has been more helpful than these clowns and she isn't an OB! She just went to medical school which seems like more than I can say for the midwives here. Now cut to 20 weeks, I have had 2 episodes of vomiting so severe I HAD TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL and yet when I come in and complain I have stomach pain, can't eat more than soup, crackers, eggs, and can't even tolerate my prenatal vitamins anymore... What do they tell me? "Oh baby doesn't like what you're eating" BS!!!! No prescription for zofran, no advice, they didn't even tell me to try unisom and b6, that was my helpful sister trying to get me some real medical advice. They didn't even seem to care that I'm losing weight because I'm having such trouble eating regularly and stomach/digestive issues. It's quite scary when you're worried about being able to eat. Through all of this they never ordered any kind of testing for me to try to figure out what is wrong. Just "oh it's pregnancy get over it." At no point in the 7 or so visits I have had thus far in my pregnancy, at no point did any of the midwives say "let's have the doctor see you to get you the prescription you need." THEY WON'T EVEN GIVE YOU THE FLU SHOT HERE. I was told I needed to go to my PCP for that. Absolutely insane. I've estimated that I have spent well over $300 in additional copays to other doctors because they will not provide me adequate medical attention here. Sadly, my insurance covers all maternity visits 100% so I don't pay when I come in. You would think they would want to keep everything in-house and not tell me to go to other specialists or my pcp to get prescriptions or the flu shot. I wish I could speak to how the doctors are at this practice however I worry that if the midwives behave so unprofessionally and don't even suggest that I see the OBs in the practice instead, then I am lead to believe the doctors don't know how to manage the midwives or the doctors are just as bad as the midwives. The level of care I get here I could get from 1) the internet 2) old wive's tales 3) a baby heart rate monitor from amazon 4) a "get over it" motivational poster. I'm very worried about the rest of my pregnancy since no matter what comes up, not only do they dismiss my concerns which leaves me MORE STRESSED OUT, they simply do nothing! I'm actively searching for another practice that cares about my physical and mental health. I truly hope this account helps others see that if your pregnancy is not going 100% normal textbook perfect, this is not the practice that has your health and safety in mind. I could go on and on about how fond I am of Dr. Stanell and his colleagues.... instead, I'd just encourage any woman who's looking for diverse, progressive, kind, thoughtful, sharp, easy to communicate with OBs, to consider this team. There are a number of practitioners, all different in their own right. As a result of my recent pregnancy, I've had the pleasure of meeting them all and I would have been pleased with any of them delivering my daughter. I've been seeing Dr. Stanell for MANY years. This review is supposed to be about the practice, however, I will briefly say that I find him to be a remarkable physician and human being. Kind. Funny. Personable. Knowledgeable. Committed. I've only had 2 major occurrences in my lifetime (Women's health wise) and he's handled both. I'm a much healthier and happier woman as a result. I'm on the fence here whether they deserve 1 or 2 stars. I gave them two because many of the doctors and at least 1 midwife (Christine Watts) seem knowledgeable in this practice. The support staff on the other hand are horrible. 1) I've had appts cancelled without notification, 2) I've had appts incorrectly scheduled. Example: Midwife asks to see me in 5 weeks for a followup OB appointment and ultrasound, they schedule me for 3.5 weeks later (apparently counting to 5 is difficult for some "professionals") in which case the ultrasound tech is unable to do her portion because it was too soon as I wasn't yet near 11/12 weeks for the first trimester screening and the doctor had nothing to say so it was time and money wasted. At that point the US tech was completely booked the following week and was going on vacation the week after. I was told that I'd be contacted for an ultrasound appointment by the hospital. I was never called. 3) Once you do arrive, they're always behind schedule so you usually end up waiting anywhere from 20 minutes to 1.5 hours to be seen. 4) I have a history of diabetes in my family as well as high glucose levels myself. When I was 6 weeks pregnant my midwife suggested testing early (around 13-15 weeks). Around my 10 week appointment I mentioned this to the midwife that I was currently being seen by and she looked at me like I was daft. There was no record of the previous midwife prescribing the early test. Inconsistent chart management and failure to review my chart has been an ongoing issue with each appointment. 5) As expected, I failed the 1 hr glucose test necessitating a followup 3 hr test. The earliest appt I was able to get at my local LabCorp was 10:30am. I had to fast for 10-12 hours prior to this appointment and wouldn't be able to eat until 3 hours later when the testing was completed. I arrived early only to discover the script was miscoded and the testing could not be done. After several attempts to call the Lawrence OBGYN office for a corrected script, the calls were ignored so I drove over to speak to someone. At this point I was angry. More time and money wasted and on top of it all I was fasting. Can these people get anything right!? I waited 20 minutes for a corrected script and asked to speak to an administrator. At this point, hormones had taken over and I was an angry hysterical mess.The admin calls me into an office, I explain the situation as well as the history of F-ups caused by their staff to which she responds "Well we're short a person so that may explain why no one answered the phone. I'd hope for your patience..." PATIENCE!? ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME!? I stormed out back to LabCorp before being fed anymore garbage excuses. 6) Now for the cherry on the cake. I was 12 days past my due date, I'd had consistent contractions for 34 hours at that point and my water had broken a half an hour prior. I arrive to triage around 10pm (still intermittently gushing fluid with each contraction) to be checked and am intercepted by a midwife (LEANNE MICCIO) who begins asking me questions. She says in a condescending tone "Are you having contractions right now?" I said yes, she responds "Doubtful. If they were real you wouldn't be able to speak." Hunched over gripping my belly I reminded her not only was I 12 days past my due date but I was also gushing amniotic fluid onto the floor." "She smirked and told me "incontinence is common in late pregnancy but... it's not busy so I'll bring you in and take a look." I was indeed in active labor, she didn't apologize but agreed as a matter of fact while transporting me to a room for further monitoring. My only request was no pitocin, I have negative reactions to it. About an hour later she asks if I'd like any pain meds, I suggest Demoral (sp?) to take the edge off and maybe help me sleep a bit. I nodded off and awoke with a strong contraction to see a nurse hooking up a yellow bag of fluid to my IV. I asked her what it was, she stammered, said it'll help with the labor, I again asked her what it was and she said Pitocin. I grabbed my IV and threatened to rip it out unless she unhooked it. She did and immediately left. A few minutes later the midwife LEANNE returns and asks what the problem was. I told her my one and only request was no pitocin and she went directly against those wishes without any known medical need to do so other than her convenience. I threatened that if she stepped foot in my room again, I'd report her to administration for malpractice.I labored through the night with minimal assistance from nurses until 7 am when the midwives changed shifts. My final delivery was completed around 2:30pm by midwife Christine Watts who was and continues to be an amazing midwife read more

I am beyond frustrated. Capital Health cut many corners by removing the option of ultrasounds for patients in the office and centralizing all ultrasound/radiology scans at the hospital. They NEED to offer ultrasounds in the office again where patients are actually being treated! Scheduling an ultrasound through the hospital or satellite radiology associations while dealing with health issues has been an absolute nightmare. Not to mention if you do finally get an appointment (after weeks of being put on hold while waiting for referrals to be pre-authorized and put in a queue to a fax line) you do not have your doctor there to ask questions as they are finding results during the scan. This makes for a convoluted, impassive and frustrating experience. The most effective way of getting my questions answered is by posting them in my online portal. With so many parties involved in getting scans - I find myself in an endless cycle of automated prompts, sitting on hold, leaving voicemails during lunch hour and business holidays, and googling. Dr. Tashjian and RN. Camilla Pharamond are BEYOND amazing which is unfortunate that they are stuck with this antiquated system and definitely lose many patients due to it. Now they will most likely lose me. After miscarrying on my first pregnancy over two months ago and still dealing with issues from it, the system has failed me too many times during this pregnancy and I will gladly go to Princeton medical for future pregnancies where I can see my doctor, get scanned and discuss the results all in one appointment. After one visit with a midwife, I quickly switched to only seeing Doctors. Surprisingly, the Doctors bedside manners are much better than the midwives. I am glad I made the decision to go with the Doctors as I had to have a c section with both my boys. First was 9.10lbs and second was 10.2lbs. Dr Tashijan delivered my first son and Dr Grant delivered my second. Absolutely love both Doctors and can not say enough good things about both women. I was not a fan of Dr Balwani as it seemed all her information came from an app she used on her phone. "My app says you have about a 16% chance of delivering vaginally. My app says you shouldn't go past 40 weeks." Although this info may have been accurate, I would have preferred this info to come from a Doctors experience and not an app on a phone. For my first pregnancy, I HATED Dr Przybylko. She told me because of my BMI I was likely to have a stillborn. First off, there is nothing I can do about my BMI 7 months pregnant and secondly, who in the world tells a pregnant woman that. I made sure to NEVER schedule with her again. I even went as far to tell them I don't care if she is the only Doctor at the hospital, she is not to step foot near me while giving birth. Luckily this was never an issue with either pregnancies. Dr Stanell and Dr Leedom are both great as is Dr Patel. Loeb I could give or take. I think at any large practice you are going to like some Doctors more than others. I wouldn't let someone else's bad experience deter you from trying this practice. There are more Doctors that I like than that I don't. read more

I have been coming to the Yardley office for 15 years, and I have had all good experiences. They delivered my baby and recently helped me out with a medical issue that could have been serious. They were responsive and very communicative all through my issue. I find their portal very easy to use and the doctors get back to me the same day if I e mail. My tests are always there within the week. I use Dr. Sussman and I think that he is very knowledgeable and qualified. I also really like Janet. No complaints at all. read more

My doctors were great i cant complain there i seen several and they all treated me great delivery was hectic but Dr. Loeb handled it like a pro and ensured i knew what was happening BUT the disability nurse was and is rude she has no empathy for a persons situation she claimed i never gave her my fmla forms so 3 days prior to going on leave she tells me she never received the paperwork and thats the paperwork that holds my job she stated it was a week wait for her to fill out a 5 question form now my disability has been cut off bc my form of delivered was not provided so i filled out an extension and here we are a week later and she has yet to fill out the medical section so that i can start getting paid again and my bills are due! I decided to call this practice when I found out I was expecting my third baby. I never went to them before, but they were close by and thought I would give them a try. When I called to make my first appointment, the receptionist was awesome. She got me in within a couple of days, was very informative and helped me set up there online portal. I got in within 10-15 minutes of my appointment, so not bad at all. However, when I met the midwife Kitan Ellerson, I was absolutely horrified by her bedside manner. I was 9 weeks pregnant and it was my first time seeing the doctor since I found out about my pregnancy at 3 weeks. I asked her if I would be getting an ultrasound or something to be able to hear the heartbeat because I was nervous and wanted reassurance that all was okay in there. As any mom knows, the first trimester can be especially scary! This woman, who I don't even know how she calls herself a midwife, told me "Even if I gave you an ultrasound today, that shouldn't give you any reassurance. Just because there is a heartbeat today, doesn't mean there will be one tomorrow. People lose their pregnancy at 16 weeks, 20 weeks, and even 40 weeks." I, shocked that someone who use such scare tactics on a newly pregnant mom responded with, "I know something can happen at anytime, but I know once you hear the heartbeat and especially once your past 12 weeks your risk of miscarriage goes down a lot." Then either this lady was lying or doesn't remember anything from her training says "That isn't true, you can lose your pregnancy at anytime, your risk does not go down just because you hear the heartbeat or after 12 weeks." You don't have to give me sunshine and rainbows, I'm all about being truthful and honest with your patients-- but to cross the line and be completely inappropriate and give false information is just not okay. Thankfully this is my third child so while I left in tears, I wasn't completely devastated... if I was a FTM I would have seriously been hysterical. So unprofessional. I can't talk for any of the other providers, they may be great-- but my experience was enough to say I'm never going back. I don't need someone so negative in my pregnancy. They should let this woman go ASAP. read more

I am currently being seen here, and seriously thinking of switching offices. They messed up my scheduling over and over. They are rude, from the receptionists to the practitioners. The ultrasound tech even yelled at my son when he fell and bumped the wall in the ultrasound room. She rolled her eyes when I asked for an envelope with the baby's sex in it. This is my third pregnancy and I have never been spoken to in such a degrading manner as if I am stupid ( I have a BS in Biology, and I have literally told them you don't have to use simple terms or over-explain things to me). I had an infection, and they didn't even tell me! I had to find out at a separate doctor's office visit! on the same day!!! I highly recommend you never go to this place! I feel stuck because I am so far along in the pregnancy, but to be honest I fear I will not be comfortable on delivery day. read more

If you only go into the office for your yearly checkup, this office should be fine for you, but if you need any other medical attention I suggest you find another practice. I've waited over 45 minutes past my appointment time on numerous occasions. I understand the doctors can run behind, but a simple 1 minute phone call to the patients to let them know they are running behind would be very helpful. Anyone who has a full time job and must take time off to go see a doctor would appreciate this. I also was told they would call me with important test results today and they never called. Now I have to wait all weekend! I left messages asking for someone to call me back, even to tell me the test results aren't in, and still no callback. I'm willing to overlook one poor interaction, but there have been too many. I'll be switching practices as soon as possible. read more

We have been coming here for our soon to be child, and continue to be disappointed. If we weren't close to delivery we would change. This practice is run like a puppy mill, office staff are inconsiderate of schedules and indifferent to the patients. Wait times are unbearably long, and I have seen people tired of the waiting room, and just leave after terribly long waits. This is the direct result of overfilling schedules and trying to maximize profit (I work in this field so I am familiar with how medical offices operate). I would be extremely confident in saying that they put their money ahead of the their patients. The facilities and equipment themselves are old, the rooms small, and to reiterate the office staff is lacking. This is NOT a place you would be proud to go to. You really are better off anywhere else but here. I will not be returning despite Janet having been my practitioner for 8 years. The front desk staff are awful. I show up for my 10:30 appointment at 10:10 to make sure I'm up to date with paper work and all. Not once did either of the ladies say that they were running behind. So I'm waiting 20,30 minutes go by and I'm waiting and waiting next thing you know it's been an hour in the waiting room! I had another appointment at 12:15. I schedule all my doctors the same day as I live in Philly now but don't mind driving. It's 11:30 at this point and I still haven't been brought back to a room so I approach the desk. I explain it's been way too long I have to cancel and reschedule because I have another appointment in 45 mins because I no longer live in Jersey. The one woman rolled her eyes and said but you're next. I explained that's fine but there's at least 3 or 4 more patients in front of me plus the time it will take the doctor to spend with me. No apologies for the lateness and asked if I wanted to reschedule right then. Uhm NO THANK YOU! This practice is extremely in efficient and the front desk is just rude. Guess it's time to look for physicians in Philly. read more

If I could give this office zero stars I would. After struggling with infertility for a little over a year I went to Dr. Sussman in hopes for some testing. Instead of testing, he went straight to fertility drugs. And then did not monitor me while taking them, just "hoped for the best." Once the fertility drugs didn't work, I had to beg to get testing. Three months later, I have yet to hear from his office to set up testing. I call twice a week and still nothing. I don't understand how such a large group can be so incompetent! Dr. Sussman was rude and had horrible bedside manner. The office was old and needed updating. The staff was always rude. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this office! I have wasted over 6 months with them trying to get answers to my infertility! read more

I think OB's get a bad rap nowadays...I tend to lean towards the more natural state of things, and in that community people speak about OB/GYN practices as if they're the devil, and the last resort. Well I can say that I never felt more respected than I have with my treatment at Lawrence. Imagine my surprise when I liked the Doctors more than the midwives! The head midwife is awesome, however. I had the opportunity to see and speak with every doctor in the practice. I never felt rushed and they never pushed me or guilted me into any interventions even though I was "high risk". When the time came, they felt I had to be induced and while it wasn't the birth I planned...I'd rather mourn a birth plan than a child. They let me labor much longer than I believe most practices would have, by far. I'm about as "crunchy" as they come and I will say each doctor, and my favorites.. Dr. Safi, Dr. Stannell, Dr. Leedom, Dr. Tashjian, especially Dr. Funches really fought for me. (not that the other doctors aren't absolutely awesome, but I just had the most contact with those) I did end up having a c-section and it wasn't the nightmare portrayed in some circles. I feel badly that this review is SO late and we've been meaning to go deliver cookies, or bacon, or small furry mammals or something that communicates our gratitude.... but we purchased a farm the same year we had a baby and life has been busier than expected. And I'm a procrastinator...my "baby" is fifteen months! LOL But I love this practice, I love the staff, I'd recommend the doctors to anyone. I'm shocked at some of these reviews. Hopefully I'll see them soon as I'm due for an appointment and we'll be TTC soon. But don't be scared of this office if you lean natural...respectful, caring, accomodating...The best practice in Pennsylvania and the hospital in NJ is beautiful and caters to many different types of birth plans. read more

As a woman of color visiting this practice, I felt very uncomfortable like a bad scene from the movie "Get Out." I feel as if they overcompensated and could not relate to me. They overloaded me with samples as if I could not afford prenatal vitamins on my own. They appeared overly fascinated at my professionalism and ability to articulate. However, they were never prepared to let me hear my baby's heartbeat or do a sonogram because the equipment was broken or they did not have an available tech. I since transferred from this practice due to moving to another state. They charged me a co-pay inappropriately for the few visits I did have with them because they never coded my visits as Pre-Natal care, only general GYN visits although I already had a perfectly competent GYN provider. They never sent my records to my new OBGYN as requested. Now it is going on 4 plus weeks. I can never reach who I am supposed to reach in the office as I must always leave a message before getting a live person. The best part of this practice was the lab tech, who was professional and quick and at one time had to remind staff of what tests I needed completed. read more

At LOB they really care and you can tell by the Genuine concern and follow up. My favorite doctor is Stanell, but all of them work together. Your pap results are easy to get via an automated call. They have a very good service. They have around 6 doctors. I love Dr Tashjan. She is a wonderful doctor. She will make you feel so comfortable. I like Dr Funches too !! I would definitely recommend this practice to everyone. They are affiliated with Capital Health hospital. Its the new hospital they have made recently (May be 2 -3 years). They have cool equipment's. I loved the hospital and nurses and staff members there. They were very cooperative, polite and helpful. read more

I am 21 weeks pregnant and unfortunately, had a terrible experience at Lawrence OB. Moving forward, we are switching practices. Cold, unorganized, unprofessional staff. We gave it a chance the entire pregnancy with a couple different doctors and midwives and not one showed us polite or welcoming bedside manner. There was a blonde, female nurse that was the ONLY person in the building who treated my husband and I with respect and I truly thank that young woman for her kindness. We came from a fertility specialist and it took us a long time to get to this place in our lives and did not deserve to be talked to in a condescending manner by every staff member. Our appointments would be scheduled/rescheduled and tossed around like a number instead of a person. For those of you looking for a practice, you have a choice in your healthcare and how you are to be treated during what is supposed to be an exciting time in your life. And I recommend choosing elsewhere. read more

I wish I could give ZERO STARS. This practice is absolutely TERRIBLE. There are great practices out there and this is not one of them. It is worth the time to FIND SOMEONE ELSE! I had gone for a number of years and never got around to switching because I figured I only visited once a year and I could deal with it. I knew there was no way I would let them take care of me during my pregnancy. I switched and am so glad. It is near impossible to get someone at the phone. I have sometimes selected different departments knowing they weren't who I needed JUST to try to get a human being on the phone. I wish I could give them no stars.. I had previously liked the office and been happy with my service. If you go see anyone, see Bridget. But other experiences have changed my view and I will no longer be going there. I have been having breast pain for about a year and went to my primary care physician, who did blood work. She ran hormone levels and I had asked her to take a urine pregnancy test because that's where my brain goes with breast pain. I knew I was going to be drinking that weekend. So they said that it was negative. I get a call from the primary care on a Tuesday and everything is normal - my doctor then said she was going to forward the results to the OBGYN and I should make a follow-up appointment. I get a call the next day from the OBGYN telling me I was pregnant. I was half asleep at this point but asking questions because of other information. I frantically called my primary care back and she had to call the office, get another doctor on the phone to confirm that I was NOT pregnant and then she called me back. I never got a call back from the office to confirm that they were wrong. I called several times asking to speak to the nurse manager and finally got ahold of her. She was apologetic, I'll give her that. But Janet, who was the one I had been dealing with, did not call me back until five whole days after. I had a follow up appointment today. I left seething. I told the nurse who checked me in that, quite frankly, I wasn't going to be returning because of what had happened. So Janet comes in, doesn't even apologize. Does my exam, asks me questions, and then says she heard that I am not returning. I stated that I did not understand how an OBGYN office could read test results wrong for hormone levels. She said she thought I was on the pill and needed to know immediately, oh and she had three other people look at it and they all thought I was pregnant. Still no apology. She tried to convince me that I should still come back and I told her I did not appreciate her attitude toward me and that it was my decision to change practices. She kept going on and I was like "well tough shit, I don't care" and she was like "you're good to go" and got up and walked out. Horrible customer service. If that's how they treat you when they make a mistake and you're NOT pregnant, I can't even imagine how they would treat you if you were pregnant and lost the baby or had some other issue. If I only had to deal with the girls at the Yardley office I would have given 5 stars. The receptionists, billing people at the Lawrenceville location and the lady who schedules appointments are all rude and nasty. I left before I had any prenatal care for my second child because of how unkind and uncaring those women are, including the midwife Leanne I saw the day I went in just to get medicine for my morning sickness. And the attitude I got from Pam every time I called was unnecessary. A shame the Lawrenceville office is so terrible because Kitan delivered my first born and she was wonderful. I have been a patient at Lawrence OB-GYN for approximately 30 years. I had two natural deliveries and the doctors were wonderful. I have been with Dr. Small since I started going there and my only regret was that he was not the doctor on call when I went into labor. I had every confidence in the other physicians in the practice to delivery my babies. It is always easy to get an appointment and you have your choice of which office location to go to. This is the WORST practice I have ever experienced in my life. I never write reviews, but they finally pushed me over the edge. Where do I start... 1. Its hard to even get someone on the phone 2. If you do get someone, all they can do is take a message and have some one else call you back god knows when. And they have such an attitude problem and are not helpful AT ALL. 3. my test results took almost a week longer than they said and I had to CHASE them down for the results- multiple phone calls and messages left. 4. They don't do ultrasounds or Panorama genetic testing. Ladies, please fid yourself a midwife or doctor who keeps up with technology and offers these two options. They are available to you and necessary during your pregnancy. Side note: if anyone tells you panorama is really expensive just call the company and they will work with you on price (mine was $100 at a different practice). 5. they put me in for the wrong appt time. When I arrived the rude woman at the front desk told me there was nothing she could do and made me feel like it was my fault. She wouldn't even fit me in at first. And no apology whatsoever. Finally, i convinced her to have me come back two hours later for my appt. They then had me wait for an hour only to have the doctor see me for all of 3 minutes. No bedside manner at all. 6. I have never seen the same provider more than one time. Expect someone new at each visit. 7. everyone there seems annoyed to have to deal with you. I am a nice person and if it were just one incident I would never complain. However, I have had multiple bad experiences at this practice and will never step foot in this unprofessional and outdated practice again. read more

What an unexpected, pleasant surprise! I used a GYN practice in Princeton, which was unprofessional, disorganized, with a poorly trained and dour staff. The MD was aggressive and borderline combative. Then I called Lawrence OB-GYN. Each phone contact was excellent! Professional, cheerful, helpful and thorough. Online intake forms were convenient and instantly provided. Office experience was superior! Competent and pleasant staff, brief wait-time. My doc was "present," listened, offered pertinent information and made recommendations which align with vision of self-care. He performed an in-office procedure with sensitivity and a clear explanation of the testing process. On checking out, the front staff continued to impress me with competence and kindness. My doctor contacted my pharmacy immediately. The record of my visit was uploaded to the patient portal in no time. The patient portal is the most user-friendly version I've encountered. Each facet of my experience has been superior. This is it! No more searching for me. I have found the RIGHT practice! read more
