I had my annual physical with Dr. Gamburg and left feeling fine about the visit--until I received a $15 bill afterward. This was supposed to be a routine preventive exam, which under my insurance does not require a copay. During the appointment, the doctor asked if I had any concerns since my last visit. I answered honestly, assuming that was a normal part of an annual checkup. At no point was I told that responding to that question could result in an additional charge. Only later did I find out that my visit had been expanded and billed in a way that generated a fee. If discussing concerns during an annual exam leads to extra charges, patients should be clearly informed beforehand so they can decide how to proceed. Given the recent issues involving Dr. Pierce Portin and the office, this kind of billing practice raises additional concerns about transparency and trust. Patients deserve clear communication--not unexpected charges after the fact. Transparency matters. Patients shouldn't be surprised with unexpected charges for simply answering their doctor's questions during what is supposed to be a covered annual visit. read more

I will start by saying that I wish I could leave a 0 for the rating. It is obvious based on reading many other reviews of this practice that they are not concerned about patients. I have been trying to make my annual appointment for months. The hold times are horrendous, if they even answer the phone. When they finally answer the phone, the receptionist is rude and unkind. There is a continuous run around regarding being all booked up and saying call back in a month for an appointment. read more

I relocated from Texas and chose this facility somewhat as a gamble, hoping for the best. Throughout my pregnancy, I had a very pleasant experience here, rotating between different doctors and midwives at each appointment. Every visit made me feel more comfortable with my decision. I was unexpectedly told that I would need to be induced three weeks before my due date because of two high blood pressure readings. I was extremely nervous, and after being in the hospital for a few days, the induction unfortunately failed. I was very against having a C-section, but Dr. Gamburg took the time to walk me through the entire procedure and made me feel calm and reassured. In the end, I had a very smooth surgery and recovery. I will forever be thankful that God placed me and my baby in his care and hands. read more

I know this review is very late, but I began receiving care at DelVal OBGYN in September 2024. Because of my age, my pregnancy was considered high‑risk, and throughout that time I saw every doctor, as well as Jennifer the nurse practitioner, Jennifer the midwife, and all the medical assistants and nurses. Every single person has been kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. Whenever I needed an appointment, they made sure I got one. Whenever I had a question, someone always called me back, which meant a lot during this time where I often felt anxious. I also appreciate that the receptionist at the Lawrence office--and even medical assistants and doctors I'm not scheduled to see that day--always greet me by name and with a smile. It makes the office feel welcoming and personal. Dr. Gamburg performed my C‑section and safely delivered our baby last year. He is compassionate, patient, and truly dedicated to his patients. When I needed surgery last November to remove a polyp, he took excellent care of me once again. Most recently, on March 20, 2026, I saw him for breast pain, and his gentle bedside manner immediately put me at ease. He ordered the necessary tests and called me as soon as the results were available. I feel incredibly blessed to have him as my doctor and trust him completely with my health. I am sharing my story because I want other mothers to have the care, attention, and timely interventions that I did not receive. I am happy to provide documentation, timelines to support my review. Overall, I believe my pre-natal care managed by Delaware Valley OBGYN was negligent, these are the reasons why: On December 10, 2024, during a prenatal visit with Dr. Parizh I expressed the pain that I was having and was told my pain was normal, it was diagnosed as round ligament pain, and I was given a letter to present to my employer to work from home /modify in office hours during the remainder of my pregnancy. On December 21, 2024, I went to Princeton Medical Center E.R. because the pain intensified and was examined by Dr. Shefali Goyal (Delaware Valley OBGYN), she agreed with the December 10, 2024, diagnosis provided me a prescription for physical therapy. On December 26, 2024 I went to the ER at Princeton Medical Center because the pain increased even more and I was examined by midwife Jennifer Short and told I was 2 cm dilated and would be kept for observation. I was in pain all night and the on call Dr Eugene Gamburg never came to examine me or monitor the progression of my dilation. Next morning I was told by Dr. Sarma she was declining to examine me and I had to be immediately transported to another hospital. Fast forward to being admitted to the next hospital, I was now told by MFM at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia I was now 5cm dilated and it was too late to now offer me a cerclage. My son was born on 12/30/24 and passed away on 01/27/25 On March 12, 2025, during our final follow-up meeting with Pennsylvania Hospital's Maternal Fetal Medicine team, it was suggested that during my E.R visit on December 21, 2024, I was most likely in labor. read more

I had an awful experience here while going through my very first pregnancy. It was very traumatic. Poor care by the doctor I had. The ultrasound technician was not kind. Her bedside manor was poor. I lost my first pregnancy under this practice. The doctor prescribed pills because my body would not naturally let "everything" out. I lost my pregnancy close to the end of the first trimester at the end of October. I did not end my miscarriage until January. This happened in 2017 into 2018. The doctor told me the miscarriage process would feel like regular period cramps, and all I would need were 2 Tylenols , OVC. I believe this doctor was racist and prejudiced to me and my pain. I suffered, and she claimed I was looking for pain medication. I would never recommend this practice. If you need nice office staff, great go, but if you're looking for an OBGYN, go somewhere else. Thank goodness and God, I went somewhere else for my second pregnancy I told those doctors about the heartache and pain I suffered from Delaware Valley ob. They were appalled and treated me and my family with care and compassion. Office staff was amazing. read more

I am a 20 year patient, have had two healthy children with providers at the practice. For the most part, the midwives are awesome. Unfortunately both the midwives who delivered my children have left the practice. The wait time is horrendous, the time out to even get an appointment can be weeks, and that's IF someone deigns to pick up the phone or call you back. A few years ago i had a doctor talk me out of removing my IUD even after i explained my concerns and was there specifically to have it removed. and i quote "that's a 10 thousand dollar device" I left feeling stupid for even asking and that's not ok. I keep telling myself to give them another try despite my instincts about the practice being unprofessional (front of house) and too over crowded, but after today im done. For women, finding a good, trustworthy Gyno shouldn't be so hard, but it's so important. We're trusting you with our most intimate of places and issues. So a certain extra amount of care is expected. To get less than none is unacceptable. I called for a current issue, hoping to make an appointment asap. They asked if was a current patient i said yes She then transferred me to the nurses line where i had to leave a message to get called back. Twice. no calk back today at all. Mind you i'm uncomfortable and in need of care and am a 20 year patient. there are so many other things over the years, but the point is, find another practice. If you're pregnant, find a midwife somewhere else because dealing with the practice attached to the midwives isn't worth it. they'll get you a new patient appointment quicker, faster, and with no hassle before they can get a 20 year patient with a medical issue and appointment for a semi urgent issue. Ridiculous. i'm over it. Doubt they care, but i feel bad for any women currently at this practice. read more

This review is late - I had a baby with them in 2017, but as I've reflected I realize I should write a review. Their midwives are fine (if ideological - there was a STRONG push to not medicate and shaming if you planned not to breastfeed), but the doctors were useless. I had terrible nerve pain in my third trimester, to the point where I could not walk. I called about it and the doctor literally scoffed and said "well, what the hell do you want me to do? Go get a wheelchair." I felt so shamed by this and it was my first baby so I didn't know to expect better. I finally found a pelvic PT on my own (paid out of pocket bc the doc wouldn't give me a referral) and she said I was 85% disabled. She did an amazing job and I spent my last month without pain, which I didn't know was possible. I went somewhere else for my second baby and when I told them I felt like the baby had turned the doctor said "you'd know! Let's get you an ultrasound to check." I cried with relief right there in her office. You may have a different experience here, but know that if you feel constantly dismissed and belittled you can go elsewhere! I have tried to schedule my annual appointment for the 3rd time in months and am currently past due for both my appointment and Mammogram. I called this morning and was told that their scheduling list is long, that they are behind in scheduling (which I have heard for the 3rd time), and that it looks like earliest February. I have called to schedule a "new patient" appointment FOUR TIMES, and each time I've been told "We don't have the schedule yet. Call back next week." It's incredibly frustrating, and finally--although I'd decided that this was definitely the right place for me--I've had to start looking elsewhere. When I call I am advised they are not booking for the next month and to call back, when I call back exactly when told l, I am told the appts for that month are now full and I need to call back in a month. I had a very bad experience with Delaware valley obgyn. Thank goodness it was my second pregnancy because I knew to ask for my glucose test and my thyroid blood work. They were annoyed when I asked for these tests, and when they came back negative, they forgot to call me and tell me. I had to call six times and beg for my test results before I got my results. The nurses and receptionists and doctors did not explain things to me and seemed to be in a rush. I've since switched practices and have had much better care. read more

This is by far the worst practice out there for OBGYN. My doctor blew off my Pulmonary Embolism as being "DRAMATIC". When I ended up in the hospital in Princeton the doctors were throwing each other under the bus, trying to push blame on the others. I almost died because of this practice! I had a 2PM appt. The staffs and doctor were friendly. But the wait for my appt was 45 min before I was invited inside to start screening process with the nurse. It was 2 weeks ago when i was at the office but i didn't hear back regarding test result. Staff is friendly, midwives are knowledgeable and doctors are down to earth, at least the ones I've met. Had an emergency earlier this summer and both Lawrenceville and West Windsor offices were great. I'd rather not drive to West Windsor as it's further but on short notice it was a godsend. I've worked with Dr. Sarma for 9 years and appreciate her thorough conversation, calm demeanor and even sense of humor. Like any practice, call for annual checkup appointments 4-6 weeks in advance. I switched to these midwives three weeks before my due date (which was incidentally the date my daughter decided to arrive). I switched from a traditional ob because I wanted a natural birth and I loved that I could have a midwife-only attended birth in a beautiful hospital with the option of a jacuzzi during labour. My water broke before I went into labour so I couldn't use the pool but Grace (the midwife on call) was amazing. She was so respectful of the birth I wanted and did everything possible to make it happen. I'm convinced if I had stayed with my old ob I would've ended up with a section. Instead, I had a totally natural birth, no complications. I met with Peggy, another midwife in the practice, and loved her as well. I was so lucky to find them and SOOOO lucky they took me so close to my due date. EDIT: I had my second child with the same practice in March of 2015 and got to experience an entire pregnancy with the practice. They were amazing, start to finish the second time around. I delivered with Yelena the second time and she let me push my son out standing next to the hospital bed. She cheered me on the whole way and really was a partner in my care. I have been a patient of Del Valley for over 20 years, specifically Dr. Ung. I will go where they go as I trust this Dr. and the team, I have always had positive experiences. In the past with some emergency needs, I was promptly seen and issue addressed very well. While almost all doctor offices are undergoing merges, new computer systems/management group, there is bound to be some confusion. I have not experienced any issue but feel for those who have that these issues will soon be resolved. read more

I called this place early on in my pregnancy hoping to become a patient. I was told that I needed to be seen at 9 weeks, but the wait for an appointment was about 8 weeks. Was I supposed to make an appointment before I was pregnant?! I was told to go elsewhere. I was directed back to this number by my hospital because I had questions about midwives. I was told that I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone unless I was a patient. Not helpful at all. read more

I scheduled my annual exam two months in advance. Three weeks out, I get a call saying the midwife I'm scheduled to see actually won't be in that day, but if I'm okay with it, they'll reschedule me for the same day/time with a different midwife. Cool. So far so good. The day of my appointment, I realized I'd never gotten a call to confirm my appointment, which set off alarm bells in my mind. I call first thing, at 8 am, and am put on hold for five minutes before being directed to voicemail. I hang up and call back 20 minutes later. At that time, I was informed that my appointment was canceled the previous day. I told the rep that I didn't do that and I had no idea how that could be. She put me on hold for a while before coming back to say that unfortunately, my original slot was already rebooked. They could fit me in at a slightly earlier time, but the appointment would be double booked. Fine... I didn't love it, but I figured I didn't want to wait weeks for another appointment, so I agreed. (They really should have dumped the other person and put me back in, but that would have made sense and I suppose that's expecting too much from these people. But I digress.) When I got to the office, the staff had some confusion with my record. In the last year, they switched to a new online system, and somehow my profile was merged with someone else who has a totally different last name. They even asked me if my name was ever "X." I said no, my name was never "X," only "Y" before I was married and "Z" after I got married. I wasn't informed that I would be seeing one of the doctors and not a midwife. The doctor was fine, but I prefer the midwives. They actually talk to you and try to get to know a bit about you, whereas the doctor was all business and got straight to the physical part of the exam. Whatever. The doctor informed me that the "other person" has "the same address and DOB" as me (dafuq???) which was why they were all so confused as to how someone else's info ended up blended into mine. She assured me they'd work to straighten that out. When I logged into my online portal at home, I saw that I'm listed as having half a dozen prescriptions, including for things like anti-depressants. I don't have any prescriptions, so this must be from the other person's profile. What a gross HIPAA violation. It's also clear to me they've done nothing to fix the issue with my profile. I'm so disgusted by this experience that I'm seriously considering switching practices. I'm sure they don't care, though, and that's the sad thing. Unfortunately, medical practices just aren't held accountable the way a regular business would be. Zero stars to the staff and four for the midwives. (Oh yeah, and two staff members were discussing another pregnant patient in front of me while one was taking my blood pressure. How unprofessional.) I feel sorry for any pregnant women who've gotten the shaft from these horribly incompetent people. read more

We had to leave the practice. I try to cut people a break but this was ridiculous and one of the midwives is completely clueless. Met my wife and brought her back the next week only to forget she had met her and do it all over again (as in "welcome to our practice, nice to meet you"..). She repeatedly insisted my wife get the carrier screening even though I was already tested and negative and we had the results in hand (does she understand what the carrier screening is for, or is she suggesting I'm not the father of the child?). They consistently missed labs and did incorrect and inadequate testing. We were assured over and over that our insurance would cover the genetic testing, we asked for codes to double check and they said there are no codes, then we got hit with a $600 bill. One of the more experienced midwives was clearly frustrated with the other's performance. Sounds like she is good, but she is retiring. We switched to a different practice. Clueless. Second star goes to the front desk person who tracked down a doctor to review the 20w ultrasound. We have dealt with recurrent pregnancy loss, and were so anxious about the results. Due to their scheduling error, they had us come in before the ultrasound rather than after, when we could have reviewed the results. They were refusing to release the results and also said we couldn't come in any earlier and had to wait weeks -- had to beg on the phone to just tell us if it is normal or not. She tracked someone down and that was really nice of her. From reading the other reviews seems like having to plead for results is standard. Again, clueless. read more

Our midwife is always extremely busy and makes us feel hurried and unwelcome. Over our three visits here, the waiting times varied between 1 and 1.5h!!! The office is not open on the weekends, so this is really problematic and takes away our PTO which is so precious when you're expecting a child. To make it worse, the ultrasound technician was unpleasant and my wife felt he was pushing her stomach forcefully--without any warning or adding her--to get the baby in the right position. The bills we get are uninformative and had errors. We are currently trying to figure out what a $730 bill we got is for. Of course, they'll say it's not them but a lab bill and they can't help.. But this kind of a situation never happened during our first pregnancy. read more

Dr Derman has poor patient communication. He does not breakdown a diagnosis or prognosis into layman's terms for the patient. He shows minimal empathy in sensitive situations and does not follow up with communication in a timely manner, although he commits to doing so. I would not recommend him as an infertility specialist. My wife and I have moved to a different group due to the sub-par healthcare being provided by Dr Derman. In addition, the staff at Delaware OBGYN is not friendly, and the billing department is completely non-responsive. They made an error in my billing and I have called 5 times, and left three messages with billing, I even took the step of sending a certified letter, but I have still not received any communication back to help correct the matter. read more

I switched to this practice when I was 33 weeks pregnant, my previous practice was a traditional Obgyn group and they treated me like an object through the entire pregnancy. This group at Delaware valley however, makes me feel human again. The midwives are helpful, the nurses are cheerful, they are not perfect, there is always a bit of a wait in the office, but I'll take that in exchange for the service any day. My delivery turns out to be quite difficult, my baby was chin up and the push lasted 3 hours, Ursula was my midwife and she encouraged me through the entire process, even when I was ready to give up, she told me to hang in there, in fact, she insisted that I hang in there; I ended up having episiotomy performed by Dr Makidan, who is also top notch, I was stitched up carefully and my recovery turns out as good as it could be. Now looking back I'm so thankful for Ursula and Dr Makidan, with any other practice in the area I would have got a cesarean, it's because of these wonderful and experienced practitioners that I was able to have a vaginal delivery and quick recovery, they are the best. read more

Dr. Goyal is an outstanding doctor with a warm and kind bedside manner. She is also incredibly gentle which makes having my yearly much less stressful. She always explains things clearly and answers all of my questions patiently and fully. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a gynecologist. read more

Some of the practitioners are kind and professional, but this practice is way too big for it's own good. The waiting for people to call back to schedule important tests, the getting slipped through the cracks, the forgetting about you in the waiting room.... Some unprofessional behavior from both medical and administrative staff. I wanted to thank the team at Delaware Valley Obgyn for their great customer service throughout my entire pregnancy. I always heard bad things from people about mid wives delivering a baby. But I really must say the mid vives I seen throughout my pregnancy were very very caring and nice. Ursla especially she kept me calm when I was nervous and kept my mind at ease. Their bed side manner to me is very warm and generous. Peggy also was very caring, generous and kept me in good spirits. Lastly Ursla made my delivery (easy,fast, smooth and comfortable). After delivering my baby she also checked on me or returned my call within minutes. Great team to deliver your baby or if you looking for a great Obgyn practice. read more

The special care and respect taken for each patient is heartwarming. I had a couple questions and one of the technicians was very thorough with her answers. Sheana made sure I understood and helped me feel at ease. I came in for a problem with my I.U.D. Dr. Proctor listened to all of my questions and issues. She made sure I felt comfortable with the results and offered more explanation as to other options. I have a return visit and look forward to seeing these ladies again. I have a newborn and a 2 year old and I waited an hour and a half and they said the wait would be at least another half hour so I left. It is no easy feat getting 2 kids under 3 years old out the door, or keep them calm for 2 hours in a waiting room and then wait during a doctor exam too. I highly recommend this practice adopts a more efficient patient management system, one that ensures new moms and other patients can see their doctor at their appointment time within a timely manner. A 2 hour wait is absurd. read more

Had a very poor customer service experience when trying to get a prescription for a breast biopsy. I was transferred to a lady called Karen Bowers (sp) who asked for a copy of the diagnosis of the ultrasound, which I have done out of state with a different doctor. I emailed it to her as soon as we hung up. She said she was going to talk to the doctor but I never heard back. It has been almost a week since that phone call. I have left 3 messages without any response from her or from the doctor. I had previously seen Dr. Proctor at the East Windsor office. None of them seem to care. Terrible first experience at a very anxious time for me. I don't recommend this place at all. read more

Could NOT have chosen a better midwifery team than that at DVOBGYN and Princeton Midwifery!!! Thanks to them I was coached and guided through my 2nd pregnancy and just very recently had a successful VBAC. All the midwives are amazing! They are so supportive and encouraging. The staff at both locations are super friendly and get to know you as well as you come and go. I highly recommend this practice and very highly suggest getting a midwife! read more

I switched from Lawrence ob because they were very disorganized and thought maybe this would be better. I've had two appointments and searching for a new place. I waited 90 minutes for my first appointment. I waited 30 for my second, but was left waiting after having my vitals checked because the nurse had to see another patient. I need surgery done and it took a week to schedule because their coordinator never calls back or answers. I ended up having to reschedule it and she is all mixed up, then doesn't call me when she says she will. Look elsewhere, this place is too large and not staffed. read more

I saw Danielle, a midwife for my yearly exam. I was terrified to go and way past due for an exam due to horrible experiences at other practices. She was so professional, personable, and lovely! She met me clothed first instead of the usual, "Put on nothing but the paper gown, and a complete stranger will be all up in your lady parts in half an hour". No cold metal stirrups were used and I was mildly uncomfortable for about 5 seconds during the Pap smear. I seriously cannot get over how pleasant this usually horribly uncomfortable exam was! read more

I see Dr. Ung at Lawrenceville office. I like him. Support staff are another story. Receptionist repeatedly made mistakes w/my primary and secondary insurances and wouldnt make an appointment for me. Supervisor told me that she would make an appointment, but if I wasnt enrolled in my insurances, I would have to pay out of pocket. They tried to give me further run around. Mistakes were made by them as they entered incorrect insurance information on multiple occasions. read more

The worst. They acted like they were doing me a favor by seeing me after I was 10 minutes and I was only late because they told me I had to fill out papers online. I could have been on time if I could have just filled it out in the office. Doctor prescribed me morning sickness meds that is currently being investigated for birth defects. I mentioned my history of anxiety disorder, the doctor just smiled and dismissed it. Zero care on the pregnant mother overall health. You can get appointments with midwives unless you are willing to take every single appointment off from work because they do not work past 4pm and that's the only reason I had even switched here. Terrible. I am so glad I switched to Comprehensive OBGYN in Robbinsville. They are attentive, answer all my questions, connected me to a great anxiety counselor to reduce my chance for post partum depression for my second pregnancy and they schedule me after work hours so I don't have to take every appointment off from work. They really care unlike this place. The front desk people were not friendly at all especially the eye roll I got. read more
