If I could give a zero star rating I would. My brother in law hired him to represent my husband in a court case for a ticket. He never showed up and my husbands licensed got suspended for failure to appear in court. We didn't find out about this until months later when our car got towed for accidentally parking in a no parking zone and they could only release the car to me because I had an active drivers license. My brother in law insisted that it must have been some mix up and he asked him to show up to the next court date. We didn't know he hired him again until the day of the court date, but this time my husband went in and this lawyer never showed up. I paid him to represent me for a TVB ticket, not only did I get screwed but my license was suspended for him not showing up. I paid the bond penalty, and fine. Later I called him and said, I forgot. Lol what kind of lawyer is this? As a result he just keeps postponing the hearing dates and in the end I'm found guilty. And he never refund me the $40 bond I paid, which he charges you an extra $40 for a bond. Please avoid him. Don't get scammed like the rest of us. Please be ware he has a second yelp profile. This attorney is as bad as they can get, use him at your own peril. he or his office represented me for 3 tickets in about a 5 year span. The 1st ticket he did not show on the court date; subsequently i received notification letter from DMV of my absence on the court date and subsequent penalties. When i called office, the admin asst/secretary who sounds like a nice person tried her best with the excuses. The 2nd ticket again he didn't show and again i was notified by DMV of fine and suspension penalties (because i had 2 tickets within 18 months equaling 6 points) if i didn't pay fine by set due date. when i called office to inquire on circumstance again secretary had excuse (he was there in court room but choose not to answer the case when it was called because supposedly the administrative judge handling the case was aggressive to him). Secretary called and spoke with him and then she came back to me and told me to "disregard the letter" that indicated if i didn't pay by the due date my licenses will be suspended!! because Hyman will handle it.. Subsequently 2 weeks later my license got suspended; when i called them back they then said "Sorry" and "just pay the fine to have my license reinstated". Unfortunately because of the suspension my rate went up $300 when i called another insurance for a quote they gave me a ridiculously high quote, and said price would only go down in 7 years when the suspension comes off my record. 3rd ticket, i called them on the court date to remind them this day was my court date, they advise it was on his schedule, two weeks later i received another warning letter from DMV to pay fine of face suspension. Secretary advise again he supposedly tried to fight it but judge would not back down. so go ahead and pay fine, but i think if it was true would have been nice to call me after the court date and give me a heads up on the outcome, but that certainly was not the case. read more

Not sure what the bad reviews are about. I have used Larry for 2 tickets and he was able to get both of them dismissed. The last ticket was from an offence 3 years ago and Larry was always reachable and returned my phone calls. He showed up to every scheduled date over the course of the 3 years.Remember people he is a great lawyer but he cant get every single ticket dismissed that is just not possible. If your ticket stands its not fair to automatically blame the lawyer. read more

I got what I felt was a BS mobile device ticket while dead stop for 30 minutes in a traffic jam in midtown. Being I'm from Vegas and here on a work trip, I thought to pay it. Went to the court window to pay and saw all the people there for the same thing. I postponed it and flew home. I just about succumbed to paying it when, on the day of the hearing, I felt it was unjust and called Larry. I figured, why the hell not? A complete scam artist of a lawyer. Hired him to fight a simple traffic ticket and it was a complete disaster. He basically took $400 (upfront) and just refused to do any thing beyond a call here and there. At the end, I ended up paying almost $1000 for a $155 ticket. I had gone to meet mr Hyman for a 6point ticket which he charged $400.00 cash and just forgot the case. Forced my license into suspension for not responding to the ticket. Then the 6 points were added to my license and he just dodged my calls. please stay away!!!! please share this and be aware!!!! long story short, my husband and i hired this lawyer to fight a simple ticket and his advice was not to pay it - to fight it!!!! our car got repo-d 2 weeks after that, credit score then went from mid 700 to mid 500...need i say more?????? our mortgage and everything is impacted by this!!!! not to say that ticket cost us over $1,000 and life is practically ruined for decades!!!!!! horrible experience, he wouldn't even call, care about anything, he got his share of $$$$ upfront!!!!! need i say that we are well educated family, consider our self the upper middle class due to job stability and income we bring in. not only that we are responsible for paying off the car that was repo-d for no reason, but whoever bought/leased a car before knows that once you have repo on your credit report the chances of purchasing a new car, refinancing mortgage, helping kids with student loans ...is practically impossible !!!!!! bar association needs to be aware of this and this person is a disgrace to its profession and most of all does not deserve a license to practice law and continue scamming people !!!! read more
