I took this class 3 times back during the pandemic and just never wrote a review I don't think. But I came across it again online and thought I should. Everything they say in their website is true. I trained with a guy named Iilyas. He was super cool and chill and didn't freak out when I messed up. In the first session I was working all the way through third gear and coming to a good stops. In the second session my slow speed maneuverability improved. It's actually easier to go fast than slow. I took the third session for fun because I didn't have a bike yet and I just wanted to ride for two hours. If I could afford it I would come again just to keep training and learning. 1 on 1 was a lot less intimidating as well. And when I came I had only ever been on a bike once in a parking lot with my brother and never left third gear or understand what a clutch or break was. Just one session and I felt comfortable on a bike. Also, they had headphones in the helmet talking me through every step. It was great. read more

LAX Motorcyle Rental! Can't say nothing but the best! Ilyas and his wife , they are both so nice and easy to deal with! Easy to set an appointment and everything! I took a DMV M1 exam, and I got it! $50 for the rental, with insurance and current registration, nothing to worry about when you go to the DMV. My only advice is if you are planning to get an M1 license, don't get the 50cc scooter to avoid any confusion on the DMV, because some examiners on the DMV might consider it to be on the M2 class. Just an advice,(based on my experience) lol! But I fought that it should be an M1! But other than that! This place is perfect! And I want to support small business like this around the neighborhood!! I first called Illyas regarding my upcoming DMV skills test so he had me meet up with him the night before for an hour to practice in a parking lot. Later, we had gone to the Hawthorne DMV bc the gates were still open an practiced the actual course. I passed the first time at the Torrance DMV with the Honda Grom and he prepared me so much. Should be called "Flexible Bike Rentals"! My flight to LAX was delayed by 8 hours putting my arrival at 8pm on New Years Eve. They stayed in touch with me throughout the day and made special arrangements to have someone available to meet me. When I returned the bike a few days later the owner offered to drive me back to LAX himself. The only negative I found was the quality of half helmets available. Recommend you bring your own helmet for comfort, for and quality. Otherwise this is the best option for an inexpensive, flexible rental in LA. read more

LAX Motorcycle Rental was awesome to deal with. I recently passed the MSF course and got my M1 license, but felt like I needed to brush up on my shifting and throttle control before taking delivery of my new bike (2014 KTM 690 Enduro R). I reached out to Elijah at LAXMR and it turns out they have the best prices in town. Basically, you get a 2 week rental for what the other guys charge for a single day. If you rent for an entire month, you will get an even better deal. Basic insurance is included. Elijah is amazingly chill. If the bike sustains some light damage from a drop, he would probably shrug it off. If you weren't able to ride because it rained all weekend (as was my case), he might give you a free day if you ask nicely. He noticed I was a bit shaky when I took delivery of the bike, so he actually gave me some free instruction in the parking lot across the street. He also teaches a motorcycle class, which I have not tried, but he seems like a knowledgeable and patient teacher, and the price is pretty cheap. The motorcycle I rented, a Honda Nighthawk 250, was operable. It had a broken mirror, it was a little dirty, old and rusted and hated being run without the choke on. HOWEVER, it was reliable, all the lights worked, the horn got the attention of some distracted drivers, the tires had tread on them, and the brakes stopped me just fine. When I picked it up, it had almost a full tank of gas, was topped off with oil, and had air in the tires. I would not expect to rent a bike that is going to wow your friends at this price, or one that is butt-puckering-fast. That would not be realistic. Basically, it did the job I needed it to do so I have no complaints. If you are like me and need to brush up to take delivery of your new bike, or perhaps you are still trying to decide what bike is right for you, do yourself a favor and contact Elijah at LAX Motorcycle Rental. Shoot, even if you are from out of town and need some cheap transportation, give this guy a call--its way cheaper than a rental car from Enterprise. read more

Skip the Eagle Riders and go with these guys. I rented the Blue/white scooter for my M1test at Hawthorne DMV. I practiced with Ilyas for 1 hour the day before, and picked up the scooter from him at 7AM the day of the test. Pick up and return was super easy. DMV is only 4 minutes away. I was even able to practice for 15 minutes before DMV employees started coming in at 7:30. The price is very reasonable. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get their M1 license. read more

If you can ride, definitely consider this for a trip to the Los Angeles area! The traffic was exactly as expected.. backed up on the freeways especially if you're going to a well populated event. I was skeptical because of the location and home business aspect but was quickly won over by Ilyas's sense of humor. I started with a Suzuki Boulevard C50 800 cc. Great condition and smooth ride. The next day I tried the Honda Blackhawk 250 cc which had a rattlly sound but which I was assured was a characteristic of the Blackhawk. Finally on the third day I tried the Honda Grom, which was brand new. High quality bikes at a third of the rental prices elsewhere, which is a function of their low overhead. They were flexible about my return times and I will definitely be back to try their sports bike! read more

Very nice, flexible and honest people runing this buisness. Rented a suzuki 850cc bike, for a very low price (low for L A). Bike was in a relatively great condition except some wierd whistle noise from the electric system, and some scratches. Other then that, very good bike, with a cellphone mount and a usb charging slot. (Good for gps usage) Was given a helmet and gloves for free, though not in a very good condition. Also rented a riding jacket, for an ok price. Jacket was good.
