This review is for the Georgetown location, 403 S. Broadway. It is located in a small strip mall and GPS took me right to it. They are located on the end closest to the parking lot entrance. There are spaces adjacent to the building as well as across a traffic lane. The parking lot is small. The whole lot is tight so just be careful. I didn't notice any handicapped spaces but the lot is paved so there is no real issue getting to the door. Walking in the display counter is on the right. I was there fairly early on a weekday morning and they had a good selection available. They will fill your donuts after you order them, and they fill them well. The donuts were incredibly fresh, melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the staff was so accommodating. The store is very clean and inviting. This place is phenomenal! OMG, they are so fresh and so very tasty. The best donut I have had in decades, which means I've eaten a lot of donuts in that time. I am a big fan of a popular coffee chain that used to have donuts in their name. I still get the coffee there, but then drive straight down to Lays. Donuts are perfectly iced, they don't scrimp on that. You like cream or jelly filled, head straight to a long john snd ask them to fill it with what you want. So went as a first time customer this morning, had a guy behind the counter that was bit dazed, and not very helpful. To the point all six of the long John's were not filled. Either were the chocolate one with crushed Reese's on them, so 8 of my 12 donuts were not what I paid for. He did tell me about the jellied filled not being filled but nothing about the 8 donuts that were just empty shells lol. Wasn't impressed by the customer service or the donuts. Wow, these are so much better than the chain donut places. All of their donuts looked very light, thick and fresh. And the ones we had tasted the same. We had the cronut (croissant/donut) which was my second time having one and the best cronut I've ever had, some of the chocolate sprinkled ones and a filled one. This morning I was finally able to visit Lays Donuts and give them a try. Lay's opened just a few days ago on February 1st and is located next to Goodyear on the EKU Bypass. All of them were amazing! Fresh donuts and full of flavor. I had won a free dozen of glazed and also purchased some blueberry, apple fritters, and cinnamon rolls. Everything is delicious! Okay, what can I say?!? Apparently quite a bit..... This donut shop is the bomb and is easily the best place we've experienced for donuts anywhere we've wandered in Kentucky. The apple fritter and cinnamon roll were both melt in your mouth divine as were the rest of the sweet treats we garnered. Each donut was fresh depending on the type, either cakey or pillowy soft and sweet ... none greasy fried tasting (y'all know what I'm sayin'). Also tried the savory kolaches which we devoured as soon as we got home....yummy! The fella who assisted us was nice and helpful and offered recommendations. Oh, and the inside of the shop was cute and decorated family appropriate. We drove quite a ways and it was sooooo worh it - Lay's will be our go-to donut stop when the hankerings hit. I guess it's going to be me who reviews this place first! It quite literally just opened on 2/1. Looks alone, I've lived in Richmond for a year, and the building hasn't changed much since Brady's and the Noodle Shack. However, they've put their cute logo on the door. Going in, the staff is so nice and is quick about getting what you need. Even when we went in close to them shutting their doors, they still served people after us. A lot of their options were picked clean. My boyfriend had the blueberry glaze, I had the chocolate sprinkle, and caramel smoothie. The quality is bomb. My boyfriend isn't a donut person, but he loved it. The breading wasn't overly sweet, and the blueberry glaze was the perfect amount of blueberry. The caramel drink - if you like caramel fraps from McDonalds, but you hate the way the coffee tastes, this drink is for you! The second time around, we got the blueberry donut. Scrumptious as well, tastes like Fruity Pebbles. The kolaches are so flavorful. The atmosphere was great, it was so nice to see people lining up out the door yesterday morning! read more

We Were in there 2-4-24 for our 1st time. 1st off the doughnuts are Amazing!!! Yummy Yummy!! But the utter Confusion of the staff in whose being waited on and who needs checked out kinda drains the Quality of Amazing Doughnuts. The staff just disappears and leaves people standing around Looking lost. There was a young man at the front door wearing a Lays Doughnut shirt, Flipping a water bottle and basically getting in peoples way coming and going out of the shop. While we we were there a employee Baby started crying and the whole staff just stopped what they were doing to tend to this Baby. They took it back into the Kitchen (Im sure thats a health code Violation) They need better Organization, and more attentive Staff!! Amazing Doughnuts can only carry you so far if ppl are leaving because you are to busy trying to keep a infant happy!! 5/10 read more

the donuts are amazing and fresh. the breakfast sandwiches are something i always get every time i go. the smoothies that i have tried have been SO good! also, the coffee is well-flavored. everything is priced well. customer service could not be better. we ordered one donut, a coffee, and a breakfast sandwich the last time we went (one of the many times). we got the donut and coffee but were waiting for the breakfast sandwich. it had only been a couple minutes, but they came out to tell us it would be a little longer on the breakfast sandwich because they ran out of eggs and had to make some more, so they gave us a box of six donuts for free! we hadn't even felt like the wait was long and were nowhere near the point of complaint, that just shows you how much they care for the happiness of their customers! i also loved the ambiance as they have some seating and played good music. i live right by this place and will continue to visit often. read more
