I have been coming here since I was a teenager, so around 20 years. I have always seen Dr. Pica…read moreand, last year, the new P.A., Liz. Last year, I had 3 moles removed by Liz., all of which turned out to be mild dysplasia. That experience was fine and I would have loved to have returned to see either Liz or Dr. Pica. Unfortunately, the physician's assistant is no longer at this office. I was scheduled for a six month check-up, which I cancelled. I decided that I would go for my yearly check up and leave it at that. My first issue began this past February, when I received a rather hefty bill from the office, associated with having the moles removed...last June. I called the office to see why I was receiving a bill this late when I already received a bill from the lab last year in July. I was told by the receptionist that they had to send my info over to my insurance company twice, because the first time the insurance company never responded to them with how much they would cover. I found this hard to believe...insurance companies always seem to respond quickly, especially when it's in their best interest and they are getting paid. But whatever, maybe there was an oversight or an error. However, I still found it odd that it took over eight months to get a bill. My next issue occurred when I scheduled an appointment for both me and my husband: me, for a check up and him to look at a few moles. (Can never be too careful, the older you get! lol). At any rate, I tried to make the two of us appointments back to back, which was near impossible. I was on the phone with the woman for at least 10 minutes just trying to coordinate a time. we could both be seen. I ended up having to reschedule a dentist appointment in order to fit me and my husband in. Also, we had to schedule with Dr. Glasser, whom I had never met in all of years of coming here, but I didn't mind at the time. We arrived a few minutes before our schedule appointment times and the H was asked to fill out paperwork, since it was his first visit. We only waited a few minutes, but were then asked to come back together. I thought this was strange and stated this to the nurse. She asked if we were uncomfortable being seen together. Sure, we're husband and wife, but still...how many people take someone with them to the doctor's office? I will sum up my experience of meeting Dr. Glasser as briefly as possible, because I could truly go on for a great while. He barely looked at my areas of concern. He did not look at the 3 spots where moles were removed until I mentioned them. He asked my husband what he did for a living, and you'd think he worked for NASA or something spectacular. The doc asked my husband so many questions pertaining to his job, that I ended up making a comment to him about it. (You're a little obsessed with this, aren't you?) He removed two moles from my husband, one almost forgetting to numb first, because he was busy talking. Luckily, the nurse (who was friendly) stopped him before he slice a mole off my husband's back with no shot. I found Dr. Glasser's bedside manner to be nonexistent. He was talkative, but was abrupt when answering questions. I had to ask him how to care for the spots he removed on my husband, since he didn't offer any instructions. Overall, I would only return under the following conditions: I couldn't find another dermatologist that I liked in the area and only if I could see Dr. Pica.

I found Dr. Glasser and his assistant Wendy to be funny, comforting and very direct. I would recommend Dr. Glasser to my family and friends.

'i can't find it. i don't know how much it's worth. not my problem.' i said in every way this was their failing, not mine. she says she'll send me a refund and takes my address. 2 weeks, no refund. i call again. she's shocked i called back and starts stuttering about how i never returned her call to give her my address. whatever, i don't argue. give me my $100. she says it's going out in the mail today. that was 3 weeks ago. they won't return my calls anymore. these people are liars and they're untrustworthy. if you have an issue, they will not help you.

Weeks would go by with no communication despite my trying. Eventually, several months and about ten emails later (most going with no response), I sent one last email saying either book my appointment or refund my money. I did get a response then with a time and date, and I scheduled it! I had been looking forward to this facial for too long with my mother! Day came, and the Center was easy to find. The facilities were beautiful and the staff and even other clients were extremely friendly. The facial itself was amazing (you should see the GUNK that gets out of your skin), and the owner was super friendly and apologetic for the scheduling mishap. We'll be going back for more treatments and my mother even wants to plan a spa day for my cousins and aunts and me!
