I was visiting from California & craving hookah! I yelped hookah and this was only 5 ish mins away from my hotel. I get there and I wasn't sure what flavors to get since I normally smoke white gummy with lemon mint so I asked for a recommendation .. I forgot what she suggested but it was an amazing flavor! I was going to go back the next day but I guess the high altitude got to me and I got really really sick. Or else I was planning on going there all three nights I was here. We gave Layla's another try. One of the owners was working so I assumed we'd have a good time. I was wrong. He was more interested in shooting pool and hanging out than he did paying attention to customers. We had to keep asking for coals which took forever to actually get them. This location is a welcome change to the hookah scene in the neighboring areas. It has a very interesting atmosphere that I find refreshing. The music is present, although not as overbearing as you'll find in other hookah bars, you can actually comfortably speak to your friends! As far as the actual smoking is concerned, the hookahs are very nice with equally as nice hoses to compliment them. They offer snacks and drinks as well, during my stay we got the mint green tea and it was very enjoyable to the extent that I found a sweetener unnecessary. The seating is comfortable and the location is well ventilated so you don't get the smokey atmosphere you're accustomed to find in your run of the mill hookah lounge. The price points are also very excellent for what you get out of it. The service is quick paced and personal as well. All in all, I'm very pleased with the management and overall establishment. I would like to start by saying this was hands down the best hookah bar in the Denver area. I believe there is a second location in south Lakewood and I hope the absolute best for this business. The first few months we started visiting the smoke was immaculate. Absolutely perfect setting customer service and product. However, we started to notice that if the owner was not there, the customer service remained the same but the product is not nearly as good.
