It was literally shaking my windows on the fifth floor. I called the police department. It is now 930 and the guy is gone and no-show. Not a call not a response at all. Totally useless. Dogs are up here every day of a week unleashed and I've probably seen a police officer up here twice. There are a few officers on the force that are not honest. I have a girlfriend who drinks and drives quite often and the Ogden Police Dept covers up for her because her husband was a police officer. Just like most Ogden Police Dept has some bad seeds.

Unreal. ______________________________________________________________ I had a very disappointing experiences with the Salt Lake City Police Department's non-emergency dispatch while attempting to file a police report. During my first call, the dispatcher who answered was extremely rude. I asked to speak with someone else as she was obviously having a bad day, she said no one else was available. The next mornining, after completing the report by phone, I received an email stating that I also needed to submit an online report. I followed the instructions and completed the online form. However, after submitting it, the confirmation page instructed me to call the non-emergency number again. When I called a second time, a different dispatcher answered, and unfortunately, she was just as rude and dismissive as the first person. I explained that I was following the instructions of the confirmation page. Dispatcher: But, why are you calling?!? I know the site told you to call you [yes, she really said that] But WHY are you calling?!? I'm confused. - Sounding bothered as well from the moment she picked up the call. I was simply trying to follow the department's instructions and properly report a theft, yet both interactions made me feel as though I was inconveniencing the staff by asking for assistance. People contacting the non-emergency line are often already dealing with stressful or upsetting circumstances. They should be treated with basic courtesy, patience, and professionalism--especially when they are making every effort to follow the reporting process correctly. My experiences with both dispatchers lacked all three.

" Really makes me re-evaluate things in a different light. When you have staff that are there just for a pay check " you lose compassion ", and sometimes it's just that bit of compassion that people need to see things differently. I'm 46 to old and way to smart to keep this drama going the world has much more to offer. I've been in and out since I was 18 and just that stay and that generosity " that sparked a change in which I intend to embark on. " The world needs more people like you guys the jails around the US needs to adhere to your work ethics and open mindedness. Include view both officers body camera's and see that they lied, plus violated my human, civil, and constitutional rights. They refused to look at any proof, or talk to any witnesses. They however did believe what Chris Lutz said only, and I am still fighting charges almost 2 years after, that I didn't do. For 0 reason should anyone trust any ogden cop that hasn't been working there 8 or more years. But there is the proof of many emails, and proof they have their friends stalk you.

Most of the cops here in town are fine. I have no warrants or have ever even gotten a traffic…read moreticket...knock on wood. However, there is a cop who harassed me every time he sees me. My days start around 5:00 am, like others as well, and if he sees you at the grocery store, the Laundromat, pumping gas, etc. he will grill you over drugs and warrants. Wants your ID and will run your plates...for no good reason. He's bored on his late-night shift and goes on "fishing" expeditions. Too many people here are afraid to say anything, lest the police retaliate. I filed a complaint and the PD never even contacted me. Just imagine, waiting on your Delicates to finish washing and the next thing you know you're being treated like a drug-addled criminal.

I also live in Midvale, they take the cake as the worst by far. Lazy, refuse to do their job, they just don't care. Multiple people in my neighborhood call about a troublesome home that sells drugs and what does UPD do? Literally nothing. Not a single patrol vehicle even drove by. They were moving a lot of product that day, they would have witnessed plenty of illegal activity had they responded. So sad. It'll be too late when they finally decide to help. I have zero faith in UPD to protect my family and home. I could also tell stories about how officers (two that I know of for sure) that were literally fired for negligence in their previous department that were hired shortly after by UPD. Proof they don't care who works for them. Can't wait til I can move to a non UPD covered area.
