I expected the consultation to be around 30 minutes, and for the Aesthetician to discuss the process, tell me how it would improve my face, and possibly show me samples of her work. Then let me pay and book the service. Instead, they took pictures of my face which supposedly showed the amount of damage in my skin. Then the aesthetician, Alex, kept me for an hour and a half trying to sell me over $10,000 in lasers, chemical peels, and other services I had no interest in. When I let her know that these would not work for my schedule right now, she kept pushing that they should all be done before the service I actually wanted. She showed me the advertising before and after photos of people who had gotten the lasers, but when I asked for photos of her own work, she did not have any, I was so confused after a while that I just wanted to leave. I would expect the upsell maybe after I had already had a service or two but not to be talked out of it when I was there with cash in hand. She kept asking me questions that had nothing to do with what I was there for. Then when I tried to leave, she tried to sell me products. I told her for the second time that I'm not interested in products. She said "I know but here" and grabbed my hand and proceeded to put different products on my hand. I said again no thank you, and she then asked me which of the products she'd put on my hand did I like best. It was really really weird. Then she kept trying to sell me products like tinted sunscreen, rather than helping me figure out if I wanted to purchase the sale item I'd come for which was over a thousand dollars. I walked out and will never return. I felt emotionally traumatized from the visit, not to mention robbed of an hour and a half of my time. I will never return to a doctor that ignores my no. Chelsea was the NP that worked with me and was super friendly and knowledgable. She was conservative with her treatment and assured me I could always come back if I was not 100% satisfied. This is important as some procedures are not immediately reversible and it is better to start conservatively even though I know I can be pushy sometimes ;) I have been to many other med spas and must say they have a good thing going. As it was my first visit I cannot vouch for 5 stars quiet yet but I will be back. The ladies at the front desk were also very professional and helpful unlike some other med spas I have been to. I must say this is also in a new up-and-coming area of Sioux Falls that was fun to explore while waiting for my appointment! I will be back for sure!
