Then let me pay and book the service. Instead, they took pictures of my face which supposedly showed the amount of damage in my skin. Then the aesthetician, Alex, kept me for an hour and a half trying to sell me over $10,000 in lasers, chemical peels, and other services I had no interest in. When I let her know that these would not work for my schedule right now, she kept pushing that they should all be done before the service I actually wanted. She showed me the advertising before and after photos of people who had gotten the lasers, but when I asked for photos of her own work, she did not have any, I was so confused after a while that I just wanted to leave. I would expect the upsell maybe after I had already had a service or two but not to be talked out of it when I was there with cash in hand. She kept asking me questions that had nothing to do with what I was there for. Then when I tried to leave, she tried to sell me products. I told her for the second time that I'm not interested in products. She said "I know but here" and grabbed my hand and proceeded to put different products on my hand. I said again no thank you, and she then asked me which of the products she'd put on my hand did I like best. It was really really weird. Then she kept trying to sell me products like tinted sunscreen, rather than helping me figure out if I wanted to purchase the sale item I'd come for which was over a thousand dollars. I walked out and will never return. I felt emotionally traumatized from the visit, not to mention robbed of an hour and a half of my time. I will never return to a doctor that ignores my no. Upon my arrival and check in, I was offered a warm robe and slippers. They provide lockers for your personal belongings. The women's area was very clean and well organized, complete with showers and toiletries for your needs. Throughout the facility, there were stations for beverages, coffee, tea, and water. While I waited for my aesthetician, I sat by a wonderful fireplace and just relaxed. When Anna came to get me for my facial, I was led to a private room. I can't stress enough how wonderful the ambience is in the spa. It promotes relaxation and peace of mind, both of which I needed. Anna was polite and attentive, and listened to my needs, and concerns. She even offered advice on a manicure I'd received from a different place a couple of days prior where my cuticles were sore, red and swollen. I only wish I had found Radiance Day Spa sooner! I'll definitely go there for my next manicure. After my facial, I was extremely relaxed. It included an arm and hand massage and neck. My skin was very smooth and moisturized afterwards. I was very pleased with the overall experience. I suppose the true test of great service is if the customer returns. I will definitely be back to Radiance Day Spa the next time I'm in Sioux Falls.
