So I've been a customer of Lazaro for a few years and have purchased many things there. Recently I bought a bracelet for my husband and he did not like it. That happens. Three days after purchase I mailed the bracelet back. They would not issue a refund. History of being a good customer didn't matter. Fact that it was a gift didn't matter. At the end of the day, I will use the store credit on something but it will be the last time I do business with them. If you are thinking of buying a loved one a gift there, please keep in my absolutely no returns for any reason - not a place you should be someone a gift unless you are 100% sure they will like it. read more

Top quality original pieces oozing style (find what suits your taste) - I am *always* satisfied with Lazaro Soho..I have around 6-8 pieces. I have other top designer men's jewelry as well (Italian) and this is one of my top 3 designers. They cost more b/c they are the real deal and high quality (and real rock royalty level). You can still find sales quite often. I've always mail ordered b/c I'm not in NYC (abroad and L.A.) but love them. I love Lazaro, both the store and the person. It is a small shop in Soho that specializes in rockstar jewelry and clothing and believe me his shit rocks...Kid Rock, Rod Stewart, and Dave Nivaro think so. Lazaro is way over the top (in a good way), he is blinged out in black diamonds, roseries, and dressed to the nines in the coolest clothing, and yet so approachable. He is such a sweetheart. This place is pretty much the only place I get shirts if i'm going out at night. They got great style, the shirts are made of great materials and sometimes they are studded, strange but I love it. Lazaro is, without a doubt, the best place to buy unique, beautiful, (some would call it "rockstar" jewelry) in NYC. This isn't Cartier or Tiffany's...this is next level sh*t right here. The staff is amazing, Lazaro Diaz is often there, and is extremely approachable, and they really take the time to work with you on getting awesome piece, and will custom make/alter specific pieces to accommodate what you want. Last time I was in I got an AMAZING raven and crown necklace, one of Lazaro's signature bracelets, a totally blinged out wallet chain, and a bunch of clothes. It's not cheap, but nothing exceptional ever is... Downstairs also has some amazing stuff: I got a kickin beanie and a skull candle. LZR1908 Silver Fleur-De-Lis & Braided Leather Cuff This is my honest reviews and the company or the designer don't give me any compensation for this. I just bought this bracelet last june and it's been over a year I was looking online to this stylish, masculine and rockstar looking bracelet. It caught my attention since I first saw this but due to budget issue and things to be get done first I am satisfied just looking on it. But This year they had a 4th of july sale which I can't just pass it, I am satisfied with this purchased. The delivery is fair enough and arrived in a timely manner, package arrived in good condition and the bracelet is looks great in person. The quality of this handmade Silver Fleur-de-lis on braided leather is exceptional. It looks attractive on my 8mm blue tigers eye beaded bracelet (w/c I bought last year) and to my other leather bracelet. I think the minor comments, well it's not an issue for me is the the thickness of this item it looks a little thin but overall I still gave a 5 star. I read some of the bad reviews--that was so not my experience..I have been going to Lazaro since he had his first store. I have had nothing but a positive experience..His jewelry is very unique and well worth the price..One time I bought a beaded bracelet that I felt was too tight, I brought it back and he was able to put on extra beads with no problem and no additional cost.. I find most of the stuff here to be way overdone, but you can sometimes find neat things if you look closely. I've purchased a few small pieces of jewelry here as gifts over the years and everything is extremely expensive by practically any measure. The only thing that I've bought for myself is a small, plain leather necklace that was, by this place's terms, a complete bargain at over $200 when on sale. The necklace seals on the back with a regular lobster clasp, but the clasp broke after about two years and I brought it in for a repair. Keep in mind that this is just a generic metal clasp that can be found on practically any necklace that you come across. I assumed, because their stuff is so expensive and this was such a small fix, that this wouldn't be any issue whatsoever. The workers there, however, estimated the cost of the repair to be $80. I asked how it could possibly be that much, and they told me that the cost of silver and gold had increased dramatically since I purchased the necklace. When I said that there wasn't any silver or gold to be repaired, just pot metal, they countered by saying that the cost of this sort of craftsmanship was always increasing. I tried to clarify again that this was just a simple clasp that had to be repaired but they held tight to the $80 estimate and seemed unable to understand why I found this to be such an outrageous price. I left without the repair being done and took it to a regular jeweler on my block who chuckled when I told him of this experience and repaired it for... $5. read more

One of my favorite places to buy unique, cool interesting pieces of jewelry. Every piece is art. Lazaro is not only the nicest designer, artist he lets you collaborate with him on any piece there or in your head. I have a beautiful collection and always see new interesting pieces I love. His clothing collections are cool and won't find anyplace else. And check out the shoes. Diago is also a wonderful help with designs and vision and incredibly nice and caring. I have been shopping at Lazaro for over 7 years and will never shop there again. If shopping there only deal with Lazaro himself. He is a talented kind man who will make your experience very enjoyable. I myself am a jewelry designer, and when I was just starting out Lazaro was very nice to me, and his encouragement was much appreciated. However his sales staff is rude and knows nothing about jewelry or jewelry design. In fact I felt attacked by his sales staff. After what I thought was a friendly conversation I was asked tho leave as soon as I mentioned I too was a Jewelry designer. According to store policy "jewelry designers are not allowed in the store." I was shocked. It was if the sales women was afraid I was going to steal there designs. Chrome Hearts, King Baby, Skull and Roses, Iilious Lalaounis are all very famous jewelry designers who have similar influences to Lazaro. I have never been treated so poorly in a store in my entire life. I personally I hope Lazaro takes care of his incompetent sales staff, because he is really a joy to experience. My advice shop on-line or go to the store only when he is in. read more

Horrible experience. One of the worst customer experiences ever. Make that the worst. My sweetheart bought me a coat, XL. I wear a Large everyday, but she was not sure, and spoke to the cashier who said she could return it no problem if it didn't fit. It was at best a medium! Obviously mislabeled. We didn't know until a few weeks later, when she gave it to me for my birthday. She went back to the store to return or exchange for a store credit. Did not ask for cash, just a store credit.After putting her through some arguments, she was finally told I could come in within the next two weeks to pick out something else. That night, she received an email that stated the woman who sold her the coat was mistaken, and that it was not refundable, but that they would do us a favor and give us a week to return it. Never mind that they told her two weeks so I could get there from out of town earlier that day! I emailed back, stating that I would be in town the following week, and would like to come in then if possible. I received a very terse response, basically that I should be happy they are doing me a favor and honoring something that should never have been promised, and had only the one week limit now set. Never mind that I am the customer, and they are not honoring their employee's statement! She insinuated that my gf could be lying, but they are taking her word. Unbelievable. Totally disappointed with this store. Just got out and the guys who were there very sketchy... I came with a friend for the first time because I love the style. Got in to the store the check out the clothes and they told there were items on sale in the back. So there were items of 20 and 40 dollars so I found a shirt and shorts I liked in the 40 dollars side and my friend found another one 40 dollars too. When we went to pay one was 80, the other two was something else over 80 and etc. The guy explained someone might have left the items by mistake please! One item I would understand but everything. Anyways I definitely. Not coming back and my friend still took one shirt I would never buy anything from people like that. I know he saw we were wearing good clothes and have shopping bags from other nice brands so he thought we were stupid. It's not about the money because I only buy expansive brands but who doesn't like sale? Anyways there was no one inside the store from the moment I got in till I was out... No wonder! This is in response to the comment by Michael B. I disagree WHOLEHEARTEDLY. The sales staff at Lazaro is competent, courteous, non-judgemental, enthusiastic and knowledgeable!! I can not fathom what Michael B may have experienced, but I dare say that perhaps most of his negativity comes from within. Perhaps even jealousy - Lazaro designs and craftmanship is without parallel. And his sales staff are fully educated about each individual piece - and will tell you, without time constraint, all about the item(s) of interest. If you want to customize an already existing piece - or perhaps design a new item, the sales staff will call Lazaro over and make sure you get exactly what inspires you. If Michael B really wants to know what it is like to be "attacked" by sales staff, I would suggest a trip to Macys or Bloomingdales!! I recommend a visit to Lazaro to all who appreciate the aesthetic of beautiful, unique, superior quality jewelry. I have lived in NYC all my life and travelled to most major cities around the world and STILL Lazaro designs are at the top of my "must have" list. Don't believe me? Firstly they mis quoted the price on the item, it was several hundred dollars higher. Then I agreed to buy it aslong as they delivered it to me in time as I was going to be out of town for over a month over summer. It wasn't a quick turn around time either as I came into the shop on a Saturday and told them I needed the item delivered to me by Tuesday (as I was traveling). All they needed to do was remove 3 beads from the bracelet. Naturally I didn't get the service I was promised, and they called me on Wednesday to tell me it was ready. When your spending 600 usd for a bracelet you don't need, that is the least you should expect. I asked for my money back or to send it to Spain on their account, as I didn't have a braclette that I would wear over the summer ready for my trip. They refused to do either or take responsibility and they said that there is no returns for "customs job"! Removing 3 needs from a braclette isn't custome mate! The person was very rude over text message not taking any accountability. They are probably going bankrupt with such customer service. When your desperate its all about collecting money, not trying to build brand value or terminal value through good service as you don't have the privlidge to think long term. Avoid this place and let nature take its course. They clearly don't know how to run a business. read more
