It is annoying that not only were they not sticking to the timeline that they gave me, but that they decided to increase the price to do a simple ring resize by 300%. Particularly when other places around the city have quoted me at $40. After two weeks I called to see when my ring would be ready. The person I talked to said it wasn't started and would take a few more weeks. It was at this point I asked for a manager. I got a call back from Dorian who proceeded to try and blame me for the situation saying I had only brought the ring in a week earlier (July 9th), he also tried to stay that the repairs center was running behind so my ring was forced to be done in August. I demanded that they give me an exact date when they would get me the ring and that they expedite it like they said they would. I got an email back saying that it would be done Friday the 16th. When I went to pick it up it took another 45 minutes of back and forth because they had stamped the inside of the ring with the Tiffany & Co name when it originally didn't have it. I have also reached out to their corporate customer service and was told the district manager would contact me. They have not done so, which is just par for the course in the horrific customer service they have give me. I explained that I just wanted to show it to my mom and asked for clarity on the photo policy - for example, could she share a photo with me to send, or could she provide me with information on the item, which is not on their website from what I can tell (though most of their items are, so I'm sure what their issue is with photos - if someone is trying to copy something (is that the concern?) they could look at their items online for the most part). In response, she said "well I already told you what the policy is" but that she'd let me take one photo in this instance. I did so and left. How could anyone think that's an appropriate thing to say to a customer just trying to shop at your store and get more information about what is permitted and how their policies work?? Most local boutiques allow photos - it's not like this is standard. She could have just kindly explained that it is store policy for this reason or that reason and it would have been fine. I was magnetically drawn into what felt like a treasure room that begged to be explored. And what you discover here is amazing. Amazing. Rings, bracelets, pendants, earrings, cufflinks, chains, wallet chains, pins and clothing - all variations on their distinctive, soulful, striking themes focused on rock 'n' roll, heavy metal, and biker subcultures. But anyone can wear these incredible works of art because they are absolutely beautifully designed and executed pieces. The prices seem fair to me given the obvious love and care poured into each item. Now what really made this experience special for me, in addition to being there with family, is the interaction with the staff. They are very nice and clearly very happy to have you in for a visit. They demonstrate genuine passion and pride for their store and for their jewelry, and when they bring a piece out of the showcase and let you examine it, their delight is on display. Nothing is priced and asking a price results in an inattentive sales woman looking it up on a tablet which takes a long time, that is, if you can get her attention (I was the only customer in the store when I walked in). 2. When I first asked a price I was told in a way that assumed I couldn't afford it they everything in that case was at least $2,000. 3. Attitude. I'm a middle-aged, successful person. No need for 20-something sales women to act superior. I treat them with respect and expect the same in return. 4. When someone finally asked if I needed help (a person somewhat interested in at least playing the role of a salesperson) she seemed to want to help but not to really know what was in stock or what pieces were made of or any ballpark prices. She also seemed not really knowledgable about jewelry in general. She looked up one material/price for me and it took 5-10 minutes to find it. 5. Due to lack of service I couldn't even come close to selecting something. I realized they were going to close soon so I asked what time they were closing. I was BARKED AT like a person who was loitering, "In TWO MINUTES WE'RE CLOSING."
