Then the lady who booked us also told us the electric was 15-20$ but we are being charged almost 100.00 for the electric. Then Sid gave my husband a job in May and on our move out date, he changed his mind on. And my husband is extremely hard working and will go above and beyond for his employer. But your employees barely do anything. They just pick up the trash bag and that's it. The employees you have working here are so rude and they make up rules as they go.. If they do not want smokers smoking in certain places, put up signs where you do not want people to smoke at! I have never seen them even test the pool and I run every morning! All they do is pick up the trash at the end of the driveways. This park has potential but they need to hire people who are actually willing to work! I have even heard customers complain about how nasty the cabins are. They never clean the inflatables either! We have spent a lot of money to be mistreated. And not to be able to use the ammentities you guys supposedly offer because your employees refuse to actually clean them! Not to mention, I've walked around this park every night cleaning the loose trash (3-4 trash bags) that your employees are to lazy to do. 10/10 this place isn't worth it! This wasn't even that bad

It felt like kids couldn't just be kids without someone expecting them to be perfectly quiet or worrying about breaking a rule. If you're looking for a place where families can let their kids have fun and make memories, this may not be the best choice. It seems more geared toward people who want a very quiet, heavily regulated resort rather than an active, family-friendly campground. However you have to tune out the constant traffic noise of the over pass directly above! This only applies if your lucky enough to get one of the two spots where p As Chris Farley said, "I live in a van down by the river ..!" Needs the words added "under the bridge!" The people are nice, but the row of campers permanently parked along the water leaves 2 spots available for transient people coming through. Otherwise, your in a mobile home park complete with old broken down trailers and all sorts of broken machinery around including old vehicles outside of old worn out decks and custom awnings. People have grown out of their trailers and have refrigerators and "junk" strewn about everywhere. In spite of that it is safe and the people are nice who have the view. They have it all! The rest have to deal with looking st each other and talking over the road noise. Pot holes fill the streets guaranteed to shake everything loose inside your rig, the public spaces such as the bathrooms... well just look at the pictures and you decide. I walked in, looked around, turned around then walked out never to return. My camper was sprayed by the ferrel cats that dominate the shoreline. I'm an animal lover, but I'll be dog gone if I'm gonna let cats smell up my trailer!

I am very disappointed. I have camped at Southport before, and have been attempting to contact them to make a reservation for about 3 weeks. First, upon calling the voicemail box was full. Then, when trying to call again I received an auto text response that indicated that they were on another line. I have e-mailed the address listed on the site twice, neither of which received a response. I tried calling again multiple times and received the same text. Finally on April 30th, I decided to text the auto response message and request information on a reservation - and got a response requesting to know how many people and tents I would need. I replied with the information, and that was the last I heard from them. It is now May 8th, and after repeated voice mails and text messages requesting information on the rental, I have been completely ignored. The phone has never been answered and I have attempted to call many times. I would not recommend this campsite to anyone.

This was a great over-night stop while heading back home to Florida. We arrived mid-afternoon and…read morewas greeted by a wonderful and friendly staff who immediately gave us simple directions to our site and an invitation to the days event which included a barbecue dinner, cocktails and karaoke at their event center down the hill overlooking the beach and marina. Our site J13 was level and the utilities were easily accessible and in great condition and included some privacy shrubbery, a nice patio, swing and fire pit. The site accommodated both our 40' Class A MotorCoach and our toad without disconnecting it. If I had any concern it would be the exit road out of the park, it's narrow, uphill and a mostly unimproved road, after looking at it I decided that I wasn't going to attempt using it in the morning and instead I drove back down the hill using the access road we entered although it is a little narrow and designated a one way it was a much better option especially for an early morning departure - I discussed this with a member of the staff and they told it would be an acceptable option. This is a very family oriented park and offers lots of family ammenties, although we only stayed one night this is definitely a place I'd return to. The camp store is well stocked although they were out of ice I noticed when one of the campers asked but the park is very close to a few stores so if they don't have what you need it's only a short drive to get it...

However, they take your trash away in the morning and they have biscuits for your dogs if you bring them into the check-in area.
