An oasis in the middle of nowhere, Burbank. Want to cut an album in the lap of luxury? Well, if you can afford it, Glenwood Studios is the place to drop your bills. The first time I ever had the opportunity to sing in-studio, it was at Glenwood; a dubious privilege, as I've been hopelessly spoiled ever since. The Glenwood staff is constantly on call to make sure your needs are met, which is extremely helpful when you're mixing and recording on the clock. They have a 6-inch thick book of menus from the best restaurants within a 15 mile radius, and the staff personally runs out to pick up and deliver straight to your couch. Who would want to eat on the couch, though? Especially when you have a beautiful patio like Glenwood's to enjoy, shaded with ivy and cooled by overhead misters -- one of my favorite places to kill time, when I wasn't needed. The interior design has obviously been meticulously thought out, with acoustics in mind, finished entirely in light wood. The vocal booth -- where I was trapped for many an hour -- was air conditioned, comfortable, and spacious enough with large windows on all sides. Every band member was visible at all times, which was an immense help during live takes. The board, the speakers -- heck, the entire sound system being operated is unmistakably state of the art. You can go digital, but what really sets Glenwood apart is their high quality analog recording system (which is not only hard to come by, nowadays, but extremely expensive). To this day, the sound of my first demo far exceeds anything I've cut since -- and that is, in large part, thanks to the remarkable Glenwood facilities.

He delivers clear feedback in an encouraging way while also remaining open to your own interpretation of something. I like that he fosters your instinct as an artist and works with your point of view. It's a fine balance! When I learned he started an in-person Acting Technique class, I knew I had to give it a try. His VO classes are amazing so I figured this class would be too. I was right! I've been going for almost 6 months and I've learned so much. The class is so unique in that it touches upon several exercises and techniques to give you a well-rounded experience. There is scene work, yes, but that's just one of a number of things we work on. There are different improv exercises, character work assignments, mock-auditions, and scene work that is rehearsed and ultimately filmed. I can really see improvement when looking back at my earlier clips in class. I HIGHLY recommend checking out his classes, especially his Acting Technique class. David is a wonderful, encouraging teacher with a wealth of knowledge and the ability to give clear direction while fostering your own unique voice.

A real gem! Clear Lake Audio Recording Studios is just what I needed. The vibe, so good as you walk in and see the rooms, and studio A was such a welcome sight to the eyes. The staff is second to none with all the help and input as well. Very professional! I will return and can't wait. The Yamaha grand piano was full of tone and rich with melody and resonance. Eric who was at the helm, really worked hard to bring out the best in me and the music to be recorded. Very patient and great advice as well. This is a rare place to find and I am truly fortunate to have been able to work with this staff. Excellent service!

Pro Audio LA was once a highly reputable, trustworthy, consistently reliable company with an…read moreexemplary business model. But over the course of the past year or so (beginning around roughly mid-2025 and onward), the company inexplicably took a nosedive with its prior reputation and is quickly sending it to the dumpster, given that it mysteriously no longer responds to communications and is increasingly failing to fulfill and/or ship its existing orders. I am not certain what suddenly changed - perhaps the ownership was transfered and/or bought out, or maybe their next-of-kin inherited the business - but regardless of the reasons, I CAN tell you with certainty by this point in time is that this is no longer the Pro Audio LA which we audio professionals so fondly remember, most sadly to say. Because all of its communications and ordering processes have just about broken down within the past months, even as it continues to accept your online orders and take your money! For the record: I have $300-worth of audio interconnect cables ordered from this past springtime of 2026, and it is now mid-July as of the time of my writing of this review, yet STILL I have heard nothing further of my order. Even after multiple communication attempts. Nothing but dead silence on the other end, even though ... again ... the online order form remains open, functional, and happily charges your credit card without batting an eyelash. Clearly, something has gone terribly, heinously amiss while SOMEONE on the other end continues to take your money. And that's just about where the paper trail ends, because your online order stays in perpetual "processing" with nothing further done. That's where it sits, even as of today. So, please, heed my warning and do NOT give Pro Audio LA a single cent of your business from this point, onward. At least not until some kind of definitive light is shed on whatever has transpired within the establishment, regarding its suddenly-tanking business model. Because this doesn't smell right at all, and I am not the only recent buyer who has been raising awareness about the recent 180° turn for the worse by this company.
