They have been operating this Truck/Travel Stop for decades remodeling as necessary to keep up with the times. They offer a sit down full menu restaurant, which is not 24/7,, so get there before closing. Like many others there are diesel lanes and standard motorist lanes as well. I have been stopping here each time when passing and the customer service is exceptional. The parking lot is in pretty good shape and is well lit also. I always enjoy my visits here no matter how short and am glad to support local small business owners over the big name brands. There are Travel Centers out to bilk the commercial driver, but this is not one of them. So get off the long boring stretch of interstate and enjoy a ride through mom and pop country. Do not just blow by. Stop off and have a decent meal and take something along for the road. Your wallet and stomach will appreciate you for it.

It is somewhat understandable that this is a historic building but there apparently is no sound proofing/insulation between the guest room walls. Noise from doors shutting, conversions, people walking on the old hard wood floors, the noises never ended. Many times it would have been very beneficial to have staff in site as children were constantly playing and running the halls, also clunking exercise equipment in the gym! Texting or Email was the only way to get staff response, which it was usually relatively quick.

The room had electronic key cards for both the side door and the room itself, making it very convenient. Parking was easy--we parked at the park directly across from our room, within view. The streets were well-lit, and the area felt safe and charming. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with the A/C and TV working perfectly. The bathroom was impressively large as well. The building itself is adorable, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully decorated. My only suggestion would be to add a larger vanity in the bathroom, as there's ample space for it, and maybe a task light for makeup. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return if given the opportunity.
