The mulch was delivered right on time and they gave us an hour. Call ahead to let us know that the truck was on its way, which allowed me to gather my crew to do the project when the mulch arrive. Overall, I felt the malt was really good quality, and I felt like the customer service of bedrock landscaping materials was good. Of the eight landscape designers I reached out to, Dave was the only one to get back to me within 24 hours. His responsiveness continued through the life of the project. That alone would be worth repeat business, as I'm sick of having to chase contractors down when I'm trying to give them money. We asked Dave to give us a bid on about a dozen individual projects in our yard and then let us select which ones to actually implement. He was happy to accommodate and patiently answered a multitude of questions. The actual job went smoothly and quickly. It started on time, there was no fuss or drama, and a few minor changes were easily accommodated while the work progressed. We plan to hire Glacier again.

We had a…read morefair amount of river rock we wanted removed from the side of our yard, and given the fantastic job he did before we wanted to go with Dave again. Nearly five month lead time and a crew was sent out to dig it - by hand - in nearly 100 degree heat in the middle of August. They did the best they could given the temperature and lack of oversight, but in the end the job was left 90% completed. Gatorades and freezer pops couldn't have saved them. Dave came to the door seemingly in a hurry, asked for the check and left, not checking up on the work his crew did (who also left without saying anything to us). I've already hand-dug and hauled four dump-carts full of rock with, I'm estimating, maybe four more to go. I'm happy I didn't have to do the whole thing so am grateful for that, but the stark contrast between the first job and the second had our necks feeling like we got whiplash. What happened? It's great that Glacier View has blown up, meaning more work for his crew, and it's likely that we're such small potatoes now it's barely worth scheduling us, but it sucks to be treated as an afterthought. Maybe they aren't great for repeat business. {edit}: Dave reached out offering to finish the job, and while I'm admittedly still a bit sour over the extra work I do respect how he tried to make it right. More importantly I'm satisfied with the acknowledgment of the lack of communication and a reassurance of improvement moving forward: small job or large. So, I'm increasing the rating to what it should be.

I worked with Chris who listened to all my concerns and issues, and provided thoughtful suggestions to enhance the overall design.  Once the actual work began, my expectations were exceeded by the entire team that worked on the project, including my Project Manager Ian who personally watered and cared for some struggling plants (that are now flourishing!). Not only was the work done efficiently and on time, but the team also made sure to leave everything clean and tidy each day and were very considerate. They tore out our old deck and replaced it with a new Trex deck. They put in a dog area with artificial pet turf. Shane's crew started the project immediately and finished it when promised. The cost was fair. A project manager checked in with us daily. We are very pleased with the results.

We hired Stix & Stonz to complete a gravel pad to park our camper next to our house last summer…read more Everything was fine up until the work, the crew dug down 4-5 inches, compacted the soil and then just poured 3/4 inch rock to fill it and overfill it in some places over 600sqft. No compaction at all, can't drive on it, can't park anything on it. Its useless and clearly done incorrectly. Shane even came out to see the work after we had issues. Called and texted Shane multiple times to try and make a plan to fix it, said he'd fix it and never showed. We saved up enough to pay him to upgrade it to concrete this summer, texted him and asked him if we can get it fixed and he said he'd send a crew out August 29th, 26' and was a no show no response leading up to and after that. We've been patient and cordial in communication but at this point I think jokes on us. I DO NOT recommend this company, if you have any landscaping needs look elsewhere.

I hired this business to install a level driveway for my camper and a level pad for my hot tub. If…read moreyou own a camper, you know how important it is to have the RV level or otherwise you need to put down leveling blocks under the trailer to make it level. Needless to say the driveway is not level even after I stressed the importance of making it level. Further more, the hot tub pad is way off too as you can see from these pictures. I repeatedly asked them if it would be level... They will tell you they stand behind the work but they wouldn't come back to even look at a drainage issue after they cut corners on. It's 3 months later and the concrete is already cracked too! Don't waste your hard earned money on these guys!
