I found TLC. From their first prompt communication just fifteen minutes after contacting them online, to the first info-gathering meeting for them to give a written estimate, to the installation of a new garden irrigation system, I have done nothing but beam with complete satisfaction. Astonishingly professional. Friendly and gracious. Local and longstanding. Communicative every step of the way. Priced for high value and excellence. And TLC offers so many different and sometimes unusual needed lawn and landscape services, so I'm looking for more opportunities to bring them back. I didn't spend a fortune with my project and yet they treated me as if I was installing irrigation into the property of a palace. Ron was my service technician THE ENTIRE project. No switchereoo and having to reexplain anything. Ron is an absolute gem of a mellow pro, takes re-direction, is collaborative, offers applicable instruction and knows his irrigation! Juan and his coworker, both very polite, did a fine job, working steadily and hard for at least 90 minutes to get it all cleared out and hauled off. They're even better at landscaping than clearing. I had a 2 hour window from 11-1 and nothing, no call, no email. So I reached out at 1:45 to see where they were at and they said sorry had something important come up and needed to reschedule. This was 45min past the 2 hour window in which no one contacted me to notify me they wouldn't be able to make it. Do not wast your time waiting around for this company as they obviously have a bad wrap for standing people up and not showing up. Definitely wouldn't want to give my 10's of thousands of dollars to a company that is poor at communication.

He set a date and time to do the work that fit our schedule and showed up on time. He and his crew worked in unison, with each person knowing what to do to prep and complete the job in a timely manner. Our job was in an existing landscaped yard, so they needed to pull back rock, remove sod in some areas, removing old metal edging and prepping the areas for the curbing, then putting rock back when they were done. All the old metal edging and sod that was removed were loaded on their truck and hauled away. When they were done, everything was cleaned up and the property was left without any lawn damage or mess. I called to schedule a general yard cleanup and spoke with Maya. She gave me very straightforward pricing, told me what to expect, and asked all the right questions about my needs. She was so knowledgeble that I kept her on the phone for quite a while, asking her details about various potential projects such as gravel, sod and sprinkler system installation (they do all of these). She gave me an overview of what each of these projects entailed, the general time/maintenance/cost involved, and was super patient answering all my questions thoroughly without ever trying to "sell" me anything. It was so refreshing to have a dedicated, knowledgeable human pick up on my first call and answer all my questions right away; Versus other places where it's usually someone who is either (1) only trained to schedule and sell services without any deeper understanding of the business; or (2) a busy foreman in a rush to their next site with no time for questions. Not their fault, just makes it a little tougher to know what you're getting. Pricing seemed great. Could not get them to respond multiple times. Had them install a shower and…read moregutters. They left the old shower in my garage with 5 GIANT boxes full of trash and never came back to get it so I had to call a haul away service. The shower pan wasn't installed correctly and weeks later it started to leak so I had to re seal as they did not use the correct sealant. The install of the gutters was sub par and actually got one of them to come back and fix once but I still have issues with the gutters and will be replacing them again. I do not recommend. The response time was terrible and they seemed to come up with excuses days later for why they weren't showing up. I gave up and found a new handy man. Moral of the story, you pay for what you get so do not go cheap.
