Dépanneur Rapido has an abundant selection of domestics, broad selection of imports and an impressive array of micro brews. The walk-in cooler in the back of the store is extensive. Expect to pay about a buck a beer for most domestics. As it is to be expected, there is little parking available. You will be able to find parking on the streets. If you are planning on an abundant purchase, don't bring it up to the cash - let the cashier know and staff will accommodate you at the garage door. Pay and go! Taxes are not included in the sticker prices for beer in Quebec, unlike Ontario, but the savings add up. The beer selection is organized by style along the shelves, not by geographics. The vast majority of the brews are from Québec, La Belle Provence. If you're in the Ottawa area, definitely the place to go for Quebec microbrews. Great selection, with an offering 300 varieties of beer! Shoes, clothes, food, drink are just more affordable. You can go to a bar and have a drink for $2.. $2.50; try to get a drink in Toronto for under $9 (rarity). In other words; duty free makes a lot of sense. As does shopping/supporting America and it's retailers; there's no glory in being taxed 13% and paying double for 'stuff' in Ontario.

Shop carefully - some things are very good deals, some are not. The facility is clean, the rest rooms are well maintained - and a good place to stop first if there's a long line waiting to enter Canada.
