I've been a loyal customer of LCI for years. The paper is top notch and the shipping is very reliable when we lived in Vermont and now California. My last experience with them though when an issue arose wasn't the best. The paper I got was bent in the corners making the card stock jam in my printer and look unsightly. Every single one of my 250 card order besides a 50pk was bent. I've reached out with them before about issues like this, like when I had blue marks over some of my cards. They just told me they'd make the factory aware. I was a little put off but again, their card stock is great 90% of the time. With this issue they said it must of been UPS which didn't really make sense considering 50 of them or so were fine. They said they would get back to me when UPS responded to them. I emailed over the next two weeks, twice. No response. All I asked for was an update on receiving a refund for damaged products each time. I eventually went to my bank to confirm a refund would be processed. I don't get why it was so hard to respond to an issue, or an email for that matter but it was very upsetting after being a customer with them for years. read more

While the paper is good quality the prices for non guaranteed shipping is ridiculous as well as the fact you have to pay return shipping. I ordered several sample from the company but the paper I really wanted didn't come with the option to order a sample, so against my better judgement I went ahead and order the paper for my wedding invites. Unfortunately, it was not thick enough so I had to return. The company doesn't provide return shipping so I had to pay for it myself. Now, I've spent more. Pricing was a little higher than my usual place, but hey, they didn't have any. I am SO disappointed in this company. I bought 11x17 vellum paper from them for a portfolio. This paper was intended to overlay another piece of 11x17 white paper I used with a printed photo. Once layering the vellum I realized the whole stack of vellum paper was miscut 1/16in making my portfolio completely uneven. I contacted them regarding my dissatisfaction and mislabeling of the product and they informed me it "industry standard" for paper to be off 1/16in. Which is completely false! Myself, being a graphic designer who has been in the industry for years knows this is not true. They not only informed me they were NOT covering the shipping, they were only going to give me back 44 of the 55 dollars I paid for them to exclude promotional and shipping costs. THEY MISLABELED THEIR PRODUCT ON THEIR WEBSITE AND clearly miscut the material. I cannot use this product being cut like this. There were no disclosures on their websites stating miscutting may occur. They will not stand by their products and they are not customer centered despite what their website may say. Their paper may be okay for non-designers or non-detail-oriented projects, but for a specialty paper company they're a joke. Stick to Red River Paper. read more

Brides Beware!!! If you are planning to design your own invitations with a local printer in your area, find your printer first and tell them the type of paper you want to work with. I bought pre-cut cardstock from this company and created my invitation design later, not realizing I would have a Gigantic Issue finding a local printer who could work with it!! Many printers cannot work with pre-cut card stock so you may have to buy the bigger sheets and let your printer cut for you. I wish this company had done a better job of explaining this on their website when I purchased from them. I was way ahead of the game with my planning, only to run into Huge Issues when I was ready to print. ..and to add insult to injury, they stopped offering their printing services as well (the rep I spoke to stated it was getting "too complicated" so they stopped offering printing). When I could not find a local printer to do the job, LCI Paper could not take the card stock back and do the print job either!! And, because it was months later when I discovered this, they refused to give me a refund (claim was their "credit card machine cannot authorize returns past a certain point! Really?) Bottom line: I bought beautiful card stock I cannot use and had to go with another company to get my invitations designed and printed in time. I am now behind schedule which is heartbreaking to me! Thankfully I am able to use the lovely envelopes with the new invitations I had to purchase...but I am out of pocket about 60 bucks in my wedding budget due to this company's lousy customer service. Word to the Wise...find your printer first before buying paper from this company!! Then you will know what size to buy and how much...and you won't run into these problems OR get charged their restocking fee if you need to exchange/return. Here is my summary: Pros -The selection is nice (good variety of paper types, colors, accessories, etc) -The tutorials, blog, and photo ideas on the site are super helpful and creative. They helped us get our idea for the invitations -I love the cardstock pocket idea and haven't seen it anywhere (we used it for our invites) -The prices are very reasonable -The templates are easy to use and helpful -The response time to questions was fast Cons -You have to pay for samples (the item & shipping) -I live in CA so it took about a week to get the samples, then another week to get our actual paper order. This just forced me to try and plan ahead and make sure I was ordering enough paper. If you're on a tight deadline and might run out this might not be the best option for you read more

I should have read the reviews of this company before I ordered envelopes. HORRIBLE customer service. They advertise on their website that the 7 1/4 and 5 1/4 envelopes fit a 5 x 7 card. NOT SO! I had to cut every one of my 5 x 7 cards; otherwise, the card was so snug that the recipient would not have been able to get it out. So, then when I called the customer service line, instead of helping me, she made me take a picture of the card with the envelope and blamed me for ordering too large of cards. I run a business. I would never blame the customer. If the customer said that what I advertised didn't line up with what he/she purchased, I would immediately send out a new product. This customer service rep said she had to get it reviewed by the manager first and that I would have to send several photos in order for them to evaluate the validity of my claim. WHAAAAT?? Seriously. Just send me larger envelopes at no cost. How hard is that? Take a page out of Zappos' customer service, which always sends out a new product, no questions asked, if the product is faulty or doesn't work. DO NOT GET ENVELOPES FROM THIS BUSINESS. My order was Napkins for my daughter sweet 15. When I got the package I was so excited, when I open the package I notice that there was a misspell on Seeet and it was my mistake. I called them the next morning explain to them and told them it was my mistake and I just wanted to see what can they do for me. She told me that she will give me a call back after she talked to her manager, at the point I'm thinking she's not going to call me back today. Amazing prices! Great quality, a million different color and size options for cards and envelopes, and lightning fast shipping. Their website is extremely helpful and has realistic and true to color swatches of all colors and textures. You can order samples of any single item for pretty cheap and they are in the mail on the same day in most cases. We ordered a lot of samples too and I was thrilled with how fast we got them and were able to make decisions on our paper needs. We ordered everything from our escort cards to our thank you cards to all of our invitation envelopes from here. I was really excited about finding prettier envelopes to go with my save the dates for such a great deal. I unfortunately experienced a little mix up because I had ordered around the holidays and the postal service ended up losing my package all together. Although it took a few phone calls to get everything resolved, they were nice enough to resend me the envelopes free of charge. I now have exactly what I need. Found this company while searching online. All I needed were Wedding Invitation envelopes. During checkout there was no way to have order sent to another address besides billing address. There is a section that says to add additional instructions. In that section I stated the address to which I needed envelopes mailed. Being short on time I wanted to make sure my message was received. Before I completed my order I contacted customer service. The person answering said there was no problem with my request and she supposedly took down my info and was going to wait for the order to be received and make sure it was done correctly. So I paid over $20 to expedite shipping on 100 envelopes and of course they were sent to wrong address!! Now I have to pay to expedite to the correct address. If I had placed the order on my own, maybe I wouldn't be so angry. But to actually call customer service and for her to say "I will take your name and look out for your order", and then not follow through...Horrible. read more

Saw that another review mentioned living in CA and having to wait a week for shipment. I was living in Somerville, MA for the majority of the planning then moved back home to the Bay Area of CA a month before the wedding. All the times I ordered from LCI, I received my packages within one to two days, so not sure what the week-long wait for that particular reviewer was about. read more

I called about a missing package. They contacted UPS. Apparently the package had been damaged and was sent back. They sent out a "new" one. When I received my products, they were damaged. It was obvious they had been moved from the damaged packaging into the box that was sent as a "new" shipment with half of the paper packs unwrapped now and the other half in bad repair. We needed the paper that had already been delayed for orders that our customers had placed so we tried to use it anyway. It continuously jammed in the printers and got ink where it shouldn't be. Tried contacting the customer service team to find out if they would give us a discount on the "new" paper they sent out since it was so obviously damaged, but all I ever heard back was that she would contact her supervisor. For ten cents per sheet of paper, I expect it to be handled in a way that it makes it to me in good condition. This was unacceptable. I have since taken my business to The Papermill Store. read more

Make sure you need what you order! They charge a restocking fee and would only issue a store credit that had an expiration date. It's really had to use a store credit on such a speciality product and then when I tried to use the credit after the expiration date that I was unaware of, they basically told me I was out of luck. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I placed a large order to this company on MLK day, for my friends wedding invitations. I was on a deadline so I purchased 2 day shipping so I could have it to the printers by Wed. Wednesday came no paper! I called the company, and spoke to SUSAN! She tried to convince me that "the shipping I paid for was actually UPS Ground not 2 Day"! After explaining that the I needed the paper by Thursday, she finally tells me that the paper I ordered was never in the store when I ordered it and they had to wait for it to be delivered to them first!!!! She then said she would call me back and let me know what they could do. When she called back, she tells me that unfortunately the "OVERNIGHT SHIPPING TRUCK" had left but they can ship it regular and it would be here by Friday. SOOO, I GOGGLED THEIR ADDRESS, FOUND OUT THAT THERE LOCAL UPS STORE WAS ONLY 8 MINS AWAY!!! CALLED UPS AND FOUND OUT THAT THEIR OVERNIGHT SHIPPING DOESN'T GO OUT UNTIL 5:45PM, IT WAS 1:30 IN THE AFTERNOON WHEN I SPOKE TO SUSAN!!! HOW SIMPLE WOULD IT HAVE BEEN TO DROP OFF THE PACKAGE! Needless to say, I canceled my order, placed a new order with PAPER-PAPERS.COM, go it overnighted and received it this morning. Even though ethically Susan should have offered to overnight it since it was their mistake, I would have gladly paid extra to get the paper from LCI on time, Susan didn't even offer it to me as an option, she just kept insisting that I either get it shipped by Friday or cancel the order! Apparently this company thinks all of their customers are idiots, who have no idea how retail works, there pretentious approach to customer service is sad. I didn't feel like my envelopes were worth the price; they were see through and flimsy. I wasn't planning on returning them, I couldn't, I was out of time and needed to get my invitation envelopes out. I called customer service anyway just to provide the feedback. What came next was straight out of the Twilight zone. When i called Customer service, the man who answered spent more time discussing my verbiage of "tacky envelopes" and how his feelings were hurt more then anything else. It was a bizarre experience, I don't intend on becoming a repeat customer. I told him I intended on writing this bad review but he didn't care and told me "if you don't like the envelopes return them!" I explained again, that I couldn't and that some companies believe in exceptional customer service and may offer a credit back for my unsatisfactory experience but as you can tell this is not one of those companies. These guys were fantastic. I needed simple but elegant placecards for my wedding. They had exactly what I was looking for at a good price. They sent requested samples immediately. The order came almost instantaneously. Excellant product. Easy to design. Simple to printy on. And when it came to seperating the cards I can't believe how easily they came apart--it's like the perforation melted away. I ordered card stock for menus for my wedding...they didn't have a sample available for the card stock I wanted to purchase, so I emailed their customer service and received two samples within 2 days, and the quality was much better than I expected. The prices are pretty amazing for this type of product in comparison to industry standards and typical bridal sites, and the quality was really impressive. I also can't say enough good things about their customer service - I followed up so many times because I was ordering 250 of the card stock and didn't want to get stuck with that if it didn't work out, and they were fast to respond and really helpful each time.
